Without a question, the best coffee shop experience in all of Cookeville. Great place to work if you're a remote worker. The backroom is nice and quiet, strong wifi, and plenty of outlets to plug in your laptop. Oh yeah and the coffee is incredible.

On our honeymoon trip, we had breakfast here and we are happy we chose this gem. The ambiance was stunning and relaxing. And OMGG those gourmet bagels were literally EVERYTHING!!!! My husband Matt aka Larry got the Pizza bagel and I got the one with Jalapeños peach 🍑 😋 and an Acai Bowl. We love this place ❤️

Fantastic staff. Good selection of single origin coffee to take home, or enjoy there. This establishment is well worth the 2.5 mile drive from the Interstate

Lovely coffee shop with a light and airy vibe. The staff members were friendly and helpful. They offer both food and beverages. I got a very tasty latte to go while wandering downtown. It is definitely worth the pitstop if you're in the general area

Went for breakfast on our way back home and it was a nice little treat. Great coffee and tea as well as the food. The only let down was not having decaffeinated coffee........ nice hidden gem!

You need to stop here if you're in the area. Delicious bagel sandwiches, with vegetarian options. So many food choices which is a good change from just having baked goods. Good coffee, so many different drinks to choose from. Very friendly staff, seem like they love their job. This would be a weekly stop if we were local.

Love this place. We eat there a lot and get the usual...BLT Croissant with Aeoli sauce and pickled onions. Great coffee... Go with the iced latte...great taste and not too pricy. Don't the let the exterior of the building deter you as this place is the best place for coffee in Cookeville. Of course others will disagree that Starbucks is the best, but we all have choices.

Pig and fig sandwich was good, cheddar chicken blt was bad. It was cold chicken salad with no cheese. Blueberry scone was yummy. Coffee was pretty good and they had 3 small tables for outdoor seating so we could bring our dog. Inside the shop was dark and plain.

Cool local coffee shop. Nice food menu variety. Also good coffee choices. Friendly staff. Above average prices but not outrageous. I could see this as a gathering spot or just a get away spot.

I got the lavender latte which is a very good drink, however I have celiac disease and the baristas (2 girls) made me feel like the biggest inconvenience because I wanted to make sure the syrups were gluten free, if you have any food allergy, I can’t recommend this place.

I’ve been to Poet’s a few times, and every time they make my coffee perfectly. I love the back room of the shop, and have already had many great memories here. Try their coffee, you won’t regret it!

Love the coziness at Poet's! Coffee is good, however the acoustics are horrible! The music is always SO loud and I can hardly hear the person I'm talking to! Other than this it's a nice coffee place.

We were in the area and looking for a coffee shop. Really nice people working there. We had coffee and the magic cheese. It's amazing! There is also seating outside

The coffee was really good. Cute place to sit and drink coffee and chat with a friend or do your work or read a book. Friendly servers too.

Got a large fireside (essentially just an iced coffee with espresso shot) and it costed me exactly $8.08. Insane price for this small 'large' iced coffee. I paid because I had waited in a line for about 10 minutes, but it was essentially a 4 buck cup of iced coffee.

My favorite coffee spot ! I can't always drop $20 on coffee and a snack but when I can, Poet's is the place. Downtown location has outside seating. Fun !

Great place to relax or work over coffee. Nice lighting and overall ambiance. The staff are super nice. Can do with a better credit/debit card reader machine though.

Such a unique menu, friendly baristas and service! Our breakfast was so good and the Salted Caramel Apple Cider was amazing!

I ordered two drinks and then watched four employees chat behind the counter for twenty minutes. They forgot to make my drinks while I stood right in front of them and no other people were before me. Finally I asked if they had forgotten, they said yes they did, but they did not apologize or offer any discount. Then my drink had chunks of spoiled milk. Terrible.

We always like to start our dates off with an espresso or tea drink from Poet's Coffee. We finally had time to sit down outdoors and enjoy a breakfast as well-- highly recommend! Worth trying: • "Sweet Belly" bagel was full of flavor • Açaí bowl was refreshing and light • lattes are always robust in flavor and strength Nice atmosphere indoors with a raised-top to sit at the full window and plenty of other tables indoors.
