We've been going here for years, it's a little pricey but in my opinion an absolute STEAL for the quality of food, beautiful presentation, and fantastic service. I always get the chef's choice sashimi and my boyfriend gets a variety of rolls. I cannot think of a single thing to critique. Over the couple dozen times we've been here, everything has been absolutely perfect. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Coos County. Just wanted to give them a shout out because even during the tumultuous restrictions and opening and closing because of the pandemic, they knock it out of the park every time. What an absolute gem of a restaurant. I can not sing them enough praises.

This is the second time we've gone here and the sushi is amazing. We've tried a total of 11 different tolls from here and they have all been great. A few of the bests we've had so far are the coconut shrimp roll, volcano roll and the 911 roll. These are just a few of them, there are other great ones but these are a few of our favorites

I was very happy with my meal at Tokyo Bistro. The service was friendly and the kitchen was quick. I had the grilled oysters for an appetizer and they were great. Huge oysters perfectly cooked and drenched in a delicious sauce. I chose the chef special which is in the picture. The presentation was amazing and the portion size was well worth the price. The fish was very fresh tasting and there was a great selection of sashmi. Definitely a great place to grab a bite.

5 🌟 Everything we had here was great! Service was excellent. Definitely going back. Its our spot in Coos Bay, Oregon for sure. (No masks, yes wheelchair access)

Really delicious sushi, very fresh! I did have to wait a bit but it was during rush hour and there were a lot of people, so I don’t blame them. The tamago was delicious, probably one of the best I’ve had yet! I also got the avocado roll, which was also delicious. The avocado was fresh and perfectly ripe! The rice was well made, not over cooked and not under cooked. Costumer service was good, even though it was busy. The cashier was very friendly. 10/10, I totally recommend.

Staff was nice always great to see a family running a business together:) The fish seemed really fresh & the rolls were a perfect size to eat in one bite . The rolls were a bit pricey for the small size they were. To be honest I wasn’t crazy about the food it had a series taste and I didn’t find a roll I love . But I was recommended it by a couple people who were local and they loved it so maybe it was just me and my picky tastes.

The salmon was turning and smelled bad, took everything I had just to eat it. You can tell from the photo the color is bad, not bright orange. The wasabi was so weak I can hardly taste it. Eaten a lot of Sashimi, but will not come back here. The wife's Unagi (smoked eel) was slimy🤮

I’ve had sushi all over the world - Tokyo Bistro is still my favorite. Nothing beats the kind employees, all of the food is made with love, it’s clean & consistent, options for everyone yet still authentic, and they support local fishermen. The owners are amazing. Gem of a place. Definitely worth a detour.

Chef's choice! Fabulous. She is very skilled and we are honored to have had the chance to dine here. There is a lot of variety, and for sushi fans, this is a must experience.

It's a fantastic sushi restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pink lady and the lemon drop roll were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be going back.

Amazing food. One of the best sushi places I have ever eaten at. The food took a long time to come out to the table, but they were very busy and the food was made to perfection. Definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend the " Fire Cracker " it is not a roll. It is like a roll without the rice, served in a bowl. All the specialty rolls were absolutely amazing. Our server was awesome and she did a really good job taking care of us when we were there. If you are in the area and you like sushi you gotta try this place.

Great find! Way off the hwy 101 but well worth the trip!! Excellent sushi and service! Fresh and delicious- did take a little longer but being sushi and the place being busy-= worth it- Last comment- prices!!!! What an amazing value!! Paid about 1/2 of what the same items cost last week in Santa Cruz!!!

Came here because of good reviews. A bit disappointed. The miso soup was lukewarm, the sushi and kalbi was ok. The mussels, seaweed salad and popcorn scallops was excellent. Server was friendly. My husband asked her to heat his soup which she complied but didn't think of asking me. We both have the miso soup. Overlooked?

This place is so good. I can't believe I never tried it before. It's so fresh and they have everything I even like stuff I dont normally eat on sushi because everything is such good quality. Also very reasonably priced compared to roseburg or eugene area, what you pay $18 for at tokyo bistro you'd pay at least $30 for elsewhere and it wouldn't be very fresh. The service is ok, not the best in the world but that's OK I do hate the small area. I wish the back room area was open more often. That's my only complaint you're so crammed in there 2 feet away from other tables. It's better to go in as well to see their daily specials.

Called an order in for take out on Father's Day. Food was ready on arrival, was very hot, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. My 83 year old dad enjoyed every bite and had seconds. Thank you for preparing such a nice lunch for our family! I'm pretty sure all who ate will be back soon. Highly recommend trying this cute little restaurant for either dining in or take out.

Great little sushi place! Super busy when we went, so not the fastest making rolls, but it was fully understandable. Sat at the bar and the two sushi chefs were rolling nonstop. Prices were fair, rolls were flavorful and interesting, though one was a little overstuffed and falling apart. Would eat again :)

This was my first visit to a Japanese restaurant and it was a pleasant experience. The staff was extremely friendly and the place had an ambiance of oriental. I was with a party of six and I personally had a Japanese style rib dinner in a manner than I had never had before. The meal started with Miso soup and while it was not my cup of tea (no pun intended) others at the table loved it. My ribs included one sprig of asparagus and a salad with a house dressing that was absolutely delicious. A side bowl of white rice came with the meal. Others at the table enjoyed Sushsi . I prefer my fish be cooked, but others at the table had nothing to say but good about their meal and raved afterwards as to how good it was. So, any negativity in my review reflects solely on my personal tastes. and not of that of my meal. So, in all honesty I have to give a full thumbs up and admit to being picky.

Sushi! They were out of Blue Fin Tuna, bummer. Had some squid and some Big Eye Tuna, the wasabi was great with the tuna and the rice bowl holds some very tasty rice. Watch the Soy Sauce containers, ours was very full. Plan to go back and try something else, maybe Blue Fin Tuna 🤣

We ate dinner here on a Friday night in October. It was fairly busy, but got a table right away as someone leaving. But took them a while to get back to us for ordering. My wife had assorted nigiri sushi and she said so so… I had shrimp tempura at it tasted pretty good. I was disappointed with the gyoza cooked Chinese style (deep fried)… The decor was a bit tacky for a “bistro”. More like a massage parlor with all the neon lights.

We had a good experience at Tokyo Bistro. Food was tasty and nigiri pieces were larger than in many other sushi restaurants. The unagi could have been cooked more. Otherwise, it was an excellent experience and we recommend this place.
