Room clean, bed linen and towels fresh, bed squeaky and lumpy, lot of traffic noise but overall served its purpose..

Smooth check in. Super nice staff. Clean room, clean bedding. There were a few spots that could have been better like the doors near the handles. The bathroom tub floor was pretty dingy and some mildew. But it wasn't "super bad". Pet friendly and near several conveniences like gas, food and stores. Some crazy construction in the intersection but that's not a ding on them. They offer pet waste bags and a smoking area. Upgraded shrubs. USB charge port in bedside lamps, coffee, fridge and micro. Really for the price it was a good room. And of course helpful friendly staff make the stay even better! Parking is easy right in front of your room. Its quiet and you feel safe. Big tvs. It would be nice if they used plastic sheaths over the remotes though. I reccomend staying here. It is comfy cozy and has a good feel to the place over all.

Surprisingly nice rooms. This place has a microwave, an rv sized refrigerator and freezer. It has a desk and a swivel chair it has a table and 2 chairs. The guy that was working on the office was extremely nice. This motel is at the top of my list for best motel in coos bay!

Surprisingly excellent for a small older hotel. Room great, very quiet despite being close to a busy road, all equipment in good shape.

Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Clerk was pleasant and personable. Would definitely stay here again.

The guy working was really cool. He showed us the room before we paid and it looked nicer than I expected. Hard floor (no nasty carpet), looked brand new. The shower was nice, looked like a new fridge, microwave, nice big flat screen tv but limited channels. It wasn't very spacious though, (room 11) the usb port on both lamps didn't work but the router has one, and there's no A/C. But it was 56 degrees outside and there was a standing fan. The metal chairs weren't comfy. The bed wasn't great, spring mattress? I thought the price was high for what you get and since it's still a 20-30min drive from the coast, oh well though. The walls weren't very sound proof too. If you have more than one vehicle be sure to let the clerk know so he doesn't get it towed.

Was pleasantly surprised at the disparity between the price and the quality of the accommodations. It's nothing flashy but it's clean, tidy, and everything works. The gentleman at the front desk (I believe his name is Derek) was helpful and friendly despite the late hour we arrived. If you're traveling the coast and looking for an economical spot to stay the night, this one delivers.

Mice in our room! Front desk area had strong undesirable odors. Wow, where should I start... first, the manager was nice and there were no problems there, 10/10 for personal conduct. I did notice a very strong unpleasant smell in the lobby area where I checked in. This was not what I was hoping for. After we got the key and entered our room, I noticed that the rooms are extremely worn. They do have slightly newer tile flooring though. Our bathroom sink was coming off the wall a bit. The comforter on the bed had a strange white stain that looked like cascade dishwasher detergent. I moved the night stand next to the bed and found a large amount of mice droppings under it. I opened the closet door and found more mice droppings. After cleaning up after the mice, I tried to eat my dinner and a mouse ran across the floor from the window area to the bed area. That was all I could take. I immediately left and went to another motel. This motel has served its time and is long overdue for complete renovation or demolition.

The majority of the population would doubt the validity of this exceptionally affordable lodging, you shouldn't join them. The SouthSider is not only quaint and clean, but it also surpasses expectations of the price with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and an upgraded bathroom. Sweet deal!

Although not much to look at from the outside, and a little rustic on the inside, bathroom was clean and looked to be recently renovated. Bed was comfortable, Had microwave and fridge/freezer. Definitely would stay here again.

I personally really really liked this place. The hotel came with a bedroom with a closed door along with the main bed. The office is so cute the man at check in was very nice and I bought some stickers :)

Very happy with finding a vacancy for the night as we were passing through. Very simple decor, but clean and comfortable and very quiet. The staff/office is actually open all night and answers promptly when you're trying to make a last minute reservation while passing through.

My room was quiet, solid, clean. Bathroom had been remodeled recently and loved that there was a window in the nice sized bathroom. I liked parking right in front of my room. There was some street noise but by 10pm, it was very quiet. I appreciated the location, was able to walk to a lot of places, just centrally located. Solid, comfy bed.

I’m giving a full five stars because this place was way better than expected for the price. Friendly check in, clean room, a good shower, a very comfortable bed, and a small refrigerator and microwave. Had everything I needed for an overnight stay while heading up the coast. Would definitely stay here again.

They staff were nice to me and my dog. That to me is 4 stars. Older hotel and waking distance to coos bay. We stayed 10 nights, some noise but not too bad outside traffic. Do dings on my car, so it was safe

Greatest Motel experience I've had during my travels! People here were fun. The dude working the desk...I give Mad respect. He's the only one working it, and he was SOLID each and everyday!

I spent a night here 20 years ago with my best friend who's no longer with us. There was an Asian woman in charge at the time, and she walked in on us getting ready in the morning, well before checkout time. It was no biggie then, and now I actually cherish the funny memory. There was a drunk guy with some issues in the room next door talking to himself. Another thing we thought was humourous at the time (we were 18). Clean and nice room. Thank you for the memory with my best friend.

Loved this place. Very clean and the house keeper left a message welcoming us to the hotel. I have traveled alot of nice hotels but never this clean. Great service and great prices I would recommend this hotel to anyone that went to Great Neck sleep in a clean room

1 stat for wifi , network xable fridge check, and microwave a plus as appossed to the Vay Brudge Motel. where I did not get to eat my leftovers due to no microwave. but the room within a room there with the lock on the outside of the guest 1 door was not conduceive of sleeping well. so, if extended family is a bother or in laws pestering just try the southsider motel rhere is a need for every thing and everything its purpose...

Clean rooms and great coffee!! Pride in ownership and the people you hire sure shows.

It's a bed and a shower. Prices high for their lack of amenities however the owner is nice and always respectful.
