If you want to taste a good taco, go for it. They are good. They taste as they should. The second star is for the delightful smile and polite attitude of the host. The rest is just wrong. You can't get away with asking 20 dollars for 6 bytes of the staple of cheap cuisine, no matter how good it is. If you want a meal sized portion it would probably cost 80 bucks, and at that price point i don't care how good they are. And to top it all off, you can't expect me to beg your neighbors for a toilet. If you don't have enough space for one, don't open a restaurant. Just out of curiosity, where do the employees go to pee?

Great tacos, bad service - The flavor and ingredients are top notch (especially the consistency and taste of the taco itself), nothing to add there! Tried the trio (Beef, pork, cabbage) and went back for a few additional tacos (don’t see them as a meal but rather as a snack. Otherwise, it will get very pricey and both worth the money spent). Also tried the beans and rice as a side, which were fine but surely nothing to write home about. What really made me deduct some stars was the service, which was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. They almost seemed like we were disturbing them by coming there to eat, which was really disappointing. Super unfriendly and probably the worst experience I’ve had in Copenhagen (it also doesn’t go well with the easy street food vibe of the surrounding. This is a taco place, not a Michelin star restaurant). My deduction is therefore 1,5 stars for the bad service, half a star for the price - but if you’re cool with looking past these factors and want to have a tasty snack for in between exploring beautiful Copenhagen, enjoy Hija de Sanchez!

I thought these tacos were going to be just amazing, based on TV shows and other reviews. The Al pastor was extremely dry, and almost flavorless, how do you get pork that dry! Barbacoa was really nice, great flavor. It's great that the masa comes from Mexico, but the tortillas were just ok, they were lacking that bit of chew I'm used to in hand made corn tortillas. Avocado popsicle was great. Overall a bit disappointed.

This place was recommended to us by a friend. Their menu is super short and if it wasn't for very delicious, yet expensive, tacos we ordered I would be disappointed. So if you crave for tasty tacos - here is the place. Other than that - I wouldn't bother.

Love the tacos here, as well as the tepache. The churros were fresh and crispy, with a caramel that goes beautifully (but it was cold, surprisingly). Staff are friendly. Value is decent. Vibe is lovely during busy times.

The barbacoa and pastor tacos were bursting with authentic flavors. A must visit when in the area!

After having many disappointing tacos from elsewhere, it didn't disappoint here. Had the combo and all of them were exceptional. However, the barbacoa did standout with its tenderness, flavour and fresh textures. Would recommend to anyone visiting!

Delicious flavoursome veggie tacos, tasty crispy mini churros with a memorable dipping sauce. A great little snack stop on our evening walk.

Great Taqueria in Copenhagen. Totally fresh and everything by the scratch.. Corn tortilla,juicy-tasty al pastor pork and barbacoa lamb, spicy salsas and a perfect sweet ending with their churros with goat caramel sauce. Big Tip! Located in the must visit Meatpacking Area !

Great vibe, with an easy selection of food that will blow your hat off - Intense flavours. The margaritas were some of the best I’ve had, combine that with friendly staff and atmosphere. You can’t go wrong.

We took the three taco combos and these tacos were the best outside of Mexico that I have ever tastes. Fresh flavours and really great service. You should come to try this place!

Loved the tacos, we ordered more after the first ones. They were authentic tacos, not commercialized. The tables are really cute😍

Adding details as have come back again in 2023. The food is still fantastic nice atmosphere too. For drinks we had the tepache (MUST TRY) and hibiscus tea (also v nice. We had the taco set and the gringa too. Great all round highly recommend.

Come in and find a table. Ordering at the counter and then chilling until your name's called. Strictly speaking not a vegetarian menu, but some changes were made so it was (usually not possible when it's busy, but we were lucky). Very tasty and flavourful tacos with just the right amount of spiciness. The hibiscus ice tea was surprisingly non-sweet, which was welcome and had a nice refreshing sourness to it.

Brilliant tacos, served quick and packed with flavour. I had the combo with one of each type and would say the pork was my favourite. The margarita was a great accompaniment too.

Really love the food here, especially the tortillas themselves. The vegan (or was it vegetarian?) option wasn't my thing though, but the other tacos were super good. We have been there 3 or 4 times over the years and each time we loved it. I must say, that is is rather small, so not sure how the location works in winter, I was there always in summer and it was nice to sit outside.

I'm going to give another glowing review to a Hija de Sanchez location, which is not surprising. I've eaten here numerous times, and I like that they aways have a) a veggie option and b) a veggie option that is acceptable to my kid. Popsicles are always a big hit too. The area is great too, although sometimes it's hard to find seats depending on time of day.

Highly recommended ! Very tasteful tacos. We had the 3 tacos combo and was amazing with the right amount of spice. The Hibiscus tea was good and not too sugary.

Really bad food. Too salty meat, the tortillas broke, the beans too hard and the rice was tasteless. I have eaten in many different Mexican restaurants, including in Mexico, so I know how it should taste. This was a disappointment. Maybe the other Hija de Sanchez places are better?

It was tasty, but maybe a bit pricey. We took the combo tacos, and Tostadas as side dish. The tacos were very nice, the Tostadas was okey, but I wouldn't order that side again. Rather one more taco. High expectations due to the Netflix series: "Ugly but delicious". I was not disappointed but not overwhelmed either.

A year later, food is still tasty. The Al pastor is by far my favorite. Unfortunately they don't brew their own ceveza anymore.

Delicious and no extra sauce is needed. So juicy! Highly recommend this place if u want to eat something quick and fresh.

Have to be some of the best tacos I've ever had in Europe!

I had a combo of 3 tacos, I enjoyed all of them. And a nice soda of pineapple.

  • 4/5 Alexander P. 2 years ago on Google
We had the combo and we liked it very much - the only little down site was one of the tacos was pretty cold already. However the taste was lovely. The beans and rice are a very good side, because afterwards you should not be hungry anymore :)

The corn tacos themself were good but the filling was sadly a bit bland. The meat was well spiced but was to the dry side, the crisp taco with beans did not pack a punch, and nothing was even remotely spicy. If you like how traditional danish food is spiced, this might be the place for you.

My favourite tacos! And nice margherita too

  • 3/5 baha k. 2 years ago on Google
Its taste and spice were incredible. I totally loved it. Also, their craft beer was good. But like so many people, I think portions were extremely small. You should take some comments serious and take an action.

Delicious tacos! The best so far!

Small place with delicious, fresh tacos

  • 5/5 Emma V. 2 years ago on Google
Tried the taco trio. The vege taco I could have skipped, but the flavors were not bad. The barbacoa was really nice, but the Al pastor taco was amazing. I would come back just for the al pastor taco. If you need som chips and dip, the tostados does the trick - I liked the green sauce more. What blew me away (besides the al pastor taco) was the frozen strawberry margarita. It had a rim of Tajin and maybe salt/sugar? I’d recommend it to anyone. I think this restaurant is worth a stop by for the al pastor and the margarita. Heads up the tacos are tiny so you won’t be full from just 2.

Love cramping into this small space to eat great tacos. Best fish tacos I've had. Biggest surprise last time was the cabbage taco's.

Fantastic service and even better food - highly recommended. The rice and beans might sound simple, but they're delicious and absolutely worth trying.

Atención muy agradable chicas mexicanas The food was just excellent I really needed to add one extra taco to the order of 3 😁. Nice guayaba drink I really recommend this place. In the picture the 3 different variety of tacos they have like a recommended meal. Veggie pork and beef 🌮

I guess like most people, I found out about the taqueria because of Netflix. I placed the spot on my Google Maps and as soon as I could get on a plane, I decided to come. The taqueria was all I was hoping for. We literally had the whole menu, all 3 types of tacos, tostadas, micheladas and beans with rice. The place is tiny, but is part of the magic, the service was so friendly as well! the guys were always smiling and they were tremendously nice. I can't recommend this place enough, is a perfect taqueria in a very unexpected place like Copenhagen

Some of the best tacos I've had in Europe. Combo is worth it, Cabbage, Pork, Beef - Cabbage & Pork are the best.

  • 4/5 Alessandro P. 2 years ago on Google
Not bad at all, but the portions are sooo small for the price!

We love Mexican food and eat good tacos anywhere that we're told we should try wherever we are in the world. Hija de Sanchez offers some pretty good al pastor tacos, the barbacoa stood out as particularly delicious. The handmade corn tortillas were great. The avocado popsicles were unique and presented beautifully; they are the primary reason I'd recommend Hija de Sanchez because they are delicious and also very photogenic. These aren't the best tacos in the world, and they might be some of the most expensive tacos in the world; but, they are good enough to warrant a visit, especially if you are living in northern Europe and haven't had a good taco in a while.

Tasty tacos as snacks. They were not filling enough as mains but you can slwaus order more or add other items. Margaritas were also nice but after a few sips they were gone. Not particularly good value for money.
