Must see in Copenhagen. Christian Andersen's fairytales are unique and it was good to take a picture with him :)

Very nice place. We've been there in August and there was nobody around a statue. It's located near Tivoli park. I recommend to visit this place instead of (crowded) statue of Little Mermaid.

A large bronze statue of the famous story writer, popular for a photo with loads of tourists flowing out of tour buses. It’s ironic that a fictional mermaid is more iconic of Copenhagen than HCA. The statue has an amused expression as he gazed towards the playground Tivoli.

It's a large statue between a big building and a busy road. If you happen to stumble across it, it's worth a picture, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

A statue of the popular writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) made by Henry Luckow-Nielsen (1902-1992). Einar Utzon-Frank (1888-1955) won the idea competition for the statue in 1936, but the statue was not built until 1961. In the work, Andersen looks towards Tivoli with a cane and notebook in hand. A wonderful statue.

Whimsical statue of HCA gazing at Tivoli, the amusement park that inspired some of his stories. Snap a picture with him before moving on!

Right on the City Hall square, looking towards Tivoli Gardens, like guarding it.

Like the way Mr. Anderson sits himself in green and gazes thoughtfully. The statue is to the right hand side of city hall

Nice location, right next to the city hall. And the way the statue looks at Tivoli is very adorable.

It talks if you scan the QR code under the status. I think that's creative. Can choose Denish or English.

Fairy tale dream Andersen seems be looking at the modern street and the Tivoli garden, which gives me the feeling of intertwining ancient and modern times

A trip to Copenhagen would be incomplete without a visit to the iconic bronze statue of beloved Danish author H. C. Anderson. Quite magnificent in person & very easy to access. An absolute must see!

It’s a statue, so difficult to give it the same stars as a nice pizza or an amazing waterfall.

Statue of probably the most well-known Dane. There were many tourists nearby, taking photos with the statue. Unfortunately, there was a lot of trash on the grass around the statue.
