We (2 people) decided to indulge in the 5-course tasting menu with wine pairing, hoping for an exceptional culinary journey. However, it fell short of our expectations in several ways. Firstly, the dishes on the tasting menu seemed either too experimental, too random, or just bland. To make matters worse, we didn't even feel full by the end of the meal, which was disappointing for a tasting menu. The wine pairing also failed to enhance the overall experience; the wine selection didn't complement the courses well. And it was strange to have only four wines, for a five course tasting. Also, what added to our disappointment was the price tag; we ended up spending over 2000 DKK for this experience, and regrettably, it felt like money wasted. As food enthusiasts, we were genuinely looking forward to something memorable, but sadly, Bistro Lupa did not live up to our expectations.

Wow. Could not have asked for a better dining experience. Not a vegan myself, but tasting menu was incredible with complex textures and incredible flavors, and everything is locally sourced. Don't miss the potato dish and the butternut squash dish. And love the waiters explaining each dish.

Incredible food. Incredible staff. Incredible drinks. All round just an amazing experience. I'm not a vegan but wouldn't hesitate to go back. Would recommend. Only had this one photo but we had something like a 6 or 7 course meal.

Went during dining week with my mum and girlfriend. All of us were very happy. Vegan food that is done right :) The only dish that was just "good" was what they called the main, which featured cauliflower, which we love. Other than that we found every single dish to be amazing, oftentimes surprising as well. Definitely a restaurant to put on your list when in Copenhagen.

This was my first meal in Copenhagen, my best dining experience, and the most expensive, but incredibly tasty. I'm allergic to milk and beef, so the plant-based menu was highly appealing. The price is higher (it IS Denmark) but the quality of food and service are well-matched. I got to have lovely chats with my French and Danish servers between courses. Even as a solo diner, I was treated as well as a party of four. I did the full dinner menu of six courses (including dessert), 3 wines, and the add-on fried oyster mushrooms. As I told the server, if I had only had the mushrooms, the meal would've been worth every penny. The chipotle glaze was delicious and they had a great crunch! From online reservation, to entry where I was given a table instead of just the bar, to throughout the meal, I loved every minute of my time at Lupa.

Enjoyed the 5 course menu this evening. We had a really pleasant dinner. My friends were really pleased by the wine pairing and I really liked the non alcoholic pairing I had (Home-made Kombucha and Kefir mostly). A few dishes to share. The waitress was lovely, we were never out of water and we didn't wait long between dishes. A great place I'll recommend back to France.

Without doubt one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Not only because of the great food, but the people working there and the atmosphere- wow couldn’t be better. They were so friendly, smiling and did everything to make our evening the best. Thank you - we’ll be back for sure ❤️

Such a once in a lifetime experience! We loved everything about this restaurant: the sustainable & plant-based concept, the friendly service and of course the food, which was really good and full of unique flavors! When we come back to the city, we will come back here for sure 😀

We had a very satisfying experience at Lupa tonight. The service was very polite and helpful. Each meal was tantalizing. It was such a wonderful experience for the palate that we didn't want it to end. Alas, besides our taste buds, our bellies were also satisfied. A dining experience worth revisiting and sharing.👍👍👍👍👍

Genuinely very tasty food all around. Recommend the tasting menu. Also very affordable. Try the coconut cappuccino

Stopped here for a brunch on a trip to Copenhagen. Absolutely mindblowing flavours, and the mushroom sandwich was even enjoyed by my friend who hates mushrooms! As poor students we couldn't afford the tasting menu but the small items we ordered were definately worth it.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at Bistro Lupa. We had a lovely evening, but unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing. The evening started with a cognac drink – too strong and not to everyone's liking. It would have been nice to have a glass of champagne instead. The snacks were superb. The potato starter was quite bland, mostly tasting like raw potatoes and dill oil. The milk bread was delicious, the beet tartare was mediocre, and we didn't bother finishing the celery-seaweed pasta. The fried cauliflower was tasty, potato croquettes were good, but the red cabbage was too tough to eat. The mushrooms were also a letdown – grilled too little and more of a "blop" than anything else. The mushrooms were something we were looking forward to the most. The dessert was fine. Regarding the petit fours: 2/3 were inedible. The small chocolate biscuit had no flavor, the gel was imbalanced with too much citric acid, and the pistachio ball tasted like velour pants. We've dined at Ark, Beyla, and Bistro Lupa before, and unfortunately, Bistro Lupa has been the most disappointing among the Ark Collections restaurants. We might not return but will stick to Ark or Veve, the vegan fine dining restaurants that consistently meet our expectations.

Delicious vegan food. We had the 5 course menu. Food looks good, taste is surprisingly varied, so you do not really think about it being vegan… you get full and prices are reasonable for what you get. Service was fast and attentive. Small room for improvement: offer the customers several tables to choose from when they arrive with many empty 2 person tables. Although the waiters were all kind, some of them could be a bit more enthused and a bit less hasty.

This is an amazing vegan bistro. It will blow you away and make you want to come back for more. We had the premade 4 course dinner and some cocktails on the side - and we were impressed by the magnitude of flavors we were offered, and by the ‘zero waste’ principles they use to make sure all ingredients are used across the different dishes. The ‘Spent Russian’ cocktail is a special treat in itself. The owner, Jason, is as good as they come. His presence in that Bistro is a game changer. We give this vegan bistro our highest recommendation

Finally visited Bistro Lupa this weekend and it did NOT disappoint. We had the full menu with wine pairing and it was such a great experience of flavors and textures. The server was so attentive and answered all our questions regarding the food, the Michelin award the restaurant had received, etc. The portions may seem small, but you get quite full by the end of the night. We also sampled a couple of their cocktails and really enjoyed them too! Can highly recommend Bistro Lupa for an elevated plantbased experience.

Cozy place with delicious food and great service. Every single dish we tried as bursting with flavor, beautifully plated, and overall a pleasure to eat. I really enjoyed their “pasta” dish and the dessert. The extra mushroom course was not worth it in my opinion and I would not recommend it. However, despite a positive food experience could not give Lupa five stars because I left hungry and disappointed. The meal did not build up as one went from a course to the next. That is, there was no dish that felt like a “main” but rather the entire meal felt like small appetizers and then you got a dessert. I love tasting menu experiences but this one felt like it was missing something. None of the dishes featured any protein or something (other than bread) that would really satisfy, and portions were small considering it was only 5 (and realistically 4 because some dishes came together and were shared) courses. Given the fact that the only option is the five course menu, It was especially frustrating to feel like all these delicious small dishes built up my expectations of a sumptuous main and I was left disappointed. Dessert, at least, was delicious and likely my favorite dish. Overall, I would not return and cannot fully recommend stopping by. For the price tag you can eat better elsewhere

Absolutely incredible! We had our first ever vegan meal and were so not disappointed. Every dish is innovative and full of flavour. The textures were top notch. Top favourites: corn on the cob, the main eggplant dish with crispy quinoa and the cherry cacao dessert. Not to forget the friendliest service provided by Anton :)

From entering through the door you will find a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Very kind staff! Thank you for making our New Year's Eve Dinner so special. Delicious plant based courses with great wine accompaniment. Only downside was the high price, since it was partly a sharing concept rather than a full 8 course meal. But we would recommend going there anytime!

Wonderful use of local ingredients. Outdoor seating is super pleasant. We got a few courses. Tomato keftedes, grilled peppers, southern fried oyster mushrooms, risotto, milk bread sandwich. It was all great. This place is a standout even in a city with a generally strong food scene.

The food deserves 5/5 but the whole experience cannot reach the same quality. The atmosphere is sad for such a high profile restaurant. The place feels crowded. Tables of 2 persons are very close to one another. Very disappointed about the toilets - dirty (something that can be excused as it might have been just my experience) and very bad lighting - the mirror is positioned so badly, it is pointless to even look at yourself in the mirror. Regarding the food, it was great. Their mushrooms are the best I've ever tried. Good taste, texture, the combinations are great and the staff offered a great explanation of their menu answering clearly and promptly to all our questions.

After ARK it was time to try LUPA BISTROT a high end dinner but with less plates then ARK. The food is exquisite, inventive, and as I cook the rest of the year myself at home I highly appreciate the effort the whole stuff puts in every single dish. This makes this experience really worth waiting a year. Can’t wait to try out the third restaurang next year.

Having dined at Ark a few times before, I had high expectations for our dinner at Lupa. Frankly, I was far from disappointed. Not only was the food of exceptional quality, but it was the innovative ideas on the plate and the thoughtful pairings that truly stood out. However, what truly elevated our evening to an exceptional level was the excellent service and the cozy atmosphere. Kevin, our waiter, went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Coupled with the inviting interior and delectable cuisine, it made us reluctant to leave. Lupa is a must-visit, whether you're a vegan or not. And be sure to conclude your meal with their fabulous signature cocktail, the Coffee and Cream!

Vegan chef restaurant, very good, highly recommended. Every day or night it is a different menu so check before you come. They charge for the water and the sparkling water, that's a bit wired in my POV.

Be sure not to miss this little gem, especially if you’re on a vegan diet. Very appetizing, delicious and creative dishes served by a highly interactive and engaging waitstaff in a quaint corner location. Will definitely return!

We went today at 12 and it was a good experience but needs some improvement, we ordered the brunch menu and the 3 course menu. The brunch menu was good but you only get to experience a sweet flavoring on both dishes and since brunch it’s supposed to be a mix between breakfast and lunch we missed the contrast of sweet and salty which left us feeling a little bit too high on sugar. So next time the brunch could be shared as a big dessert instead. And about the 3 course menu, it was almost perfect except for the dessert that was very flat. The first 2 dishes were an excellent mixed of flavors, very tasty and delicious. We will definitely come back but chose better what to try. With improvements this restaurant could definitely be on the top ones in Copenhagen.

Delicious food and outstanding service. Had a great time in this cosy bistro with a focus on sustainability. The food was lovely, especially the southern fried blue oyster mushrooms and the risotto which are the best I've tasted. Can recommend the 5 course menu, it's very filling.

Awesome place, had a very good evening. Each dish is unique and unrepeatable. Every ingredient in the dish is carefully chosen and has a place there. Everything we tasted literally melted in our mouths. The service in the restaurant is at a high level. The waiters are very friendly, know the menu inside out and can find an approach to each client. Thank you very much for a wonderful evening!

I'm so glad I made this booking. At first I was hesitant about booking a tasting menu that was fully plant based. I'm not vegan, but I do have a dairy allergy, which is why I'm happy to go to plant based/vegan restaurants. I visited on a Friday evening and being on a solo visit, I sat at the bar. The staff couldn't have made my visit any better. The 5 course tasting menu below my taste buds on how amazing plant based food can taste. All I can say is wow! Plus, the drinks were perfect too. A real highlight of my trip to Copenhagen and I'll be recommending you to friends and a big thank you to the staff that made me feel so welcome.

Amazing food and amazing service, we ordered 3 savory dishes and a dessert to share and it was plenty for us two. The milk sandwich was specially outstanding. Will definitely come back again!

My wife and I visited Credo for her birthday and we were blown away in every single possible way. Food, service, ambiance were impeccable. What an experience! Wine paring was absolutely beautiful, every dish has its own character, which were perfected by accompanying wine pairings. Wine paring is a must if visitors are wine enthusiasts. On the day of visit, overall courses were 21 small, but creative dishes centered around local ingredients. Texture and aroma together with wines, they managed to perfect every single dish. Yes, it is expensive, and I wouldn't recommend visiting Credo every other day. But if you know how well prepared meal should taste like, it is worth every single NOK.

We had a very exceptional experience at Lupa! We got married in Copenhagen and for dinner we wanted to go to a casual, but good vegan restaurant to celebrate our special day. Lupa seemed to be a great place for that. We were asked by email to say if we had allergies. I have a histamine intolerance and the chef... well, he created an incredible 5 COURSE MENU, completely histamine free, he even baked some gluten free bread!!! I would have been happy with a bowl of rice, and this menu absolutely blew our minds. It was excellent and we couldn't believe it, what he created with fresh herbs and vegetables, that are compliant. We wanted to adopt him, but unfortunately he refused. :-) Seriously: thanks so much, Lupa, for giving us this magical dinner on this special day. It meant a lot!

We went to Bistro Lupa having never tried a tasting menu or fine dining before. We were worried that that food would be not tasty or pretentious. But they really really proved us wrong. Each course challenged our notions of what good food can be. Blackberry in risotto is not something I thought would taste good but it blew my mind and was the highlight of the meal. I was upset when I ran out of blackberries! The staff are extremely kind & helpful and the whole experience was wholesome and unassuming. The food was nutritious, delicious, perfect portions and so unique compared to what we’ve eaten before. As we were celebrating a birthday we were treated to a taster version of their best cocktails. The atmosphere is so lovely and calm. For the 5 courses, one drink each plus the added starter it cost us 1500 DKK approx £150. If you are in Copenhagen only for one night or you just have the budget for one fine dining experience I would say put it toward Bistro Lupa. And of course it’s fully vegan, sustainable and made with local produce with low food waste. We left with a full belly and heart ❤️🌱

Lovely place, service, atmosphere and delicious food! The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths! Unusual and delicious cocktails! Incredibly friendly and responsive staff, who made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. This restaurant has left the best impression! We would like to come back here again and again!

I can highly recommend this place. We had the brunch menu and got each of the four dishes available, for three people . Everything is made in house, even the vegan yoghurt. Only reason for giving four stars are the sizes of the dishes. At 120-145kr per dish you would expect to be satisfied with one. But it is recommended to share three dishes between two people, which is suddenly a very expensive brunch. We ended up paying 280kr per person with coffee. Either make the dishes smaller at a lower price, or make the sizes bigger at the same price, so you get full on the one dish. But, the food is worth 5 stars

  • 5/5 Faye S. 2 years ago on Google
Staff is friendly and the food amazing! Definitely coming back soon. P.S. Don't forget to try the mushrooms 😉

  • 4/5 Calle L. 1 year ago on Google
Overall an excellent experience! Very pleasant staff and the food was very nice, especially the flatbread with butter and the mushrooms. But nothing that made us go wow. The cocktail with ginger in it was amazing but the kombucha cocktail was not good

  • 5/5 Anna G. 2 years ago on Google
The menu is well-considered and short. Combinations of flavours are elegant. The special blue oyster mushrooms - delicious, but too squishy. I would add more texture. The lamps could be brighter, or hanged lower above tables - all dishes are very beautiful, but if you eat late you almost don’t see what is happening on a plate.

One of my favourite restaurants in Copenhagen! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was just what we were looking for - Cozy ambiance, thoughtful dishes, great natural wine. Our server Sea Bass made us feel welcomed and did a fantastic job. (I have seen him also for brunch and he is consistently great!) I have been a vegan for a decade and I LOVE that I have sophisticated dining experiences like this available to me. I couldn’t say the same for Copenhagen five years ago. Thank you Bisto Lupa 🥰

Perfect timing to arrive for lunch at Bistro LUPA the very same day they receive a ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ review from Danish newspaper Politiken. I stand with them and LUPA is a must visit at Østerbro and the photos does not even show the full experience. Loved it

Food can be such a happy space, and here they really know how to serve it on a plate. Beautiful, perfect tasting vegan food. A gem! We ate here with our 2 little girls and we, together with them, loved every bite of the menu experience. The wine pairing is also delicious and recommended. Everything just perfect! Would love to have this closer to our home ✨ Oh and do try the fried (unchicken) mushroom.

I had my birthday dinner here and wow! The food was just amazing! The group only had 2-3 vegetarians (out of 10 ppl), but everyone were quite blown away! The food has all that great umami flavor that everyone loves! The staff are super friendly and it’s honestly felt a bit like being back in Australia. They make you feel special and welcome and I really love that. Would def go again! Only regret is that I was so focused on the food that I didn’t take a single photo. I don’t think anyone of us did!
