Beware !!! . Please check this before taking membership. Even if you cancel your membership , they will still charge your credit card. When I was in out of state , I called customer care and sent email to cancel the membership. They said they will cancel and they didn't do. They charged me for next 4 months. Then I came to GYM directly and cancelled the membership. They are still charging my credit card including monthly pay and annual fee. I am going to file case against them "Very bad company and unprofessional customer support."

Complained about something to the manager and bro told me “just go to another gym” Don’t go here a lot of the machines are constantly out of service and bad quality. I recommend Club 4 Fitness similar prices but instead it’s 24/7 and a lot better machinery. Don’t know the managers name but he made my experience at this gym very bad won’t recommend to family or friends.

I left Texas Family Fitness and cancelled my membership before they closed down their Alliance location and switched members to this gym. I had no desire to join Fitness Connection. Not only was my credit card charged anyway for membership despite my cancellation, it was charged way more than my gym membership rate at TX Family Fitness. When I called customer service about it, the Representative at Fitness Connection hung up on me! I had to get with my bank to report them for unauthorized charges and prevent them from future charges. I definitely will never do business with TX Family Fitness nor Fitness Connection (who I didn’t even sign an agreement with!!). Beware if this location close down. They do it with very little heads up and give your credit card information away.

Had very bad experience when I went to cancel my membership at this location. The manager was extremely rude. May be that’s what happens when you cancel your membership. I asked for an invoice for last 3 months which I needed to submit to my employer. He gave me an invoice without gym name on it. He didn’t not even know how to give a proper invoice. I asked him to take help from his staff member and after listening to this , may be his who got hurt, he started yelling at me and asked me to leave the gym. I politely asked again to give me corporate office number but he didn’t answer. He sent me proper invoice later. He made my experience with Texas family terrible at the end. Hope he learns how to talk to customers. It doesn’t cost anything to be polite to others. Never going to join Texas family fitness ever again in my life and won’t recommend to anyone till such rude stuff work there.

I would not go here again. When you sign up, it's a bunch of sales people that don't tell you the whole truth and tell you stuff, then don't honor it. And when you do cancel your membership, they continue to bill you. They can't do anything about it at the club, you have to call corporate and they don't do anything about it either. Enjoyed the classes but the room is dirty (always huge hairballs all over the floor) and either cold or hot, never comfortable. Update - got a call from the new manager today - he said the issue of people promising stuff and then 'not remembering it' later will not be an issue anymore. We've moved so I'm not going back either way but..... I'd heard that from the last manager too. Good luck!!!

The manager's customer service is horrible they are rude, they keep changing trainers. It's a high turnover,so you sign up for someone, and then that person will leave the company... Then they won't refund your money for you signing up with that direct person. I have call customer service for the last 2 to 3 weeks no response and no reply. They make it impossible for you to give your 30 day notice because they don't reply back to your phone calls. UPDATE***** Customer service finally called back over a week later told me I could cancel my membership at any gym location then told me that I could transfer my PT training sessions to another gym. Went into the gym located near my home the GM was there he couldn't process anything. He sat there looked at me asked him to cancel my membership as well as transfer my PT sessions and he couldn't do either. Explain to him that Customer service OK'd the process and he still looked at me meanwhile.... I am heading to the original gym which is anticipated 45 minutes from my house to do the paperwork, and cancel. Which judging by the phone conversation of letting them know I'm on my way they seem to probably not be able to access this transaction either, this will probably be a waste of gas and energy...

SUE THEM AND THIER COLLECTION AGENCY If you canceled your membership and are still being charged contact Attorney General Ken Paxton's office and file a complaint. The Better Business Bureau is not going to do anything to help you. The Attorney General can Sue them for what they are doing. And so can you

Unbelievably bad! I had a membership at the Lewisville location and I wasn’t notified that the gym closed. Despite the closure, they continued to charge me, even though my membership was solely for that location. I was told by the girl at the front desk I was transferred to the Coppell location (with absolutely no notice) and would have to come to that location to cancel (which I did). The manager tried to convince me over the phone that I signed up for the wrong gym, despite my contract clearly showing which location I signed up for. I have never experienced anything like this before. Beware - they have a clause in their contract that if they close one facility and open another within 10 miles, they can transfer you to that gym automatically (and apparently with zero notice). Businesses like this don’t last long.

Texas Family Fitness is a good fitness center at this price point. They have various classes, and a good selection of weight machines and free weights. If you're just looking to work out and you don't need assistance then it's a good choice. If you want assistance you'll have to get a personal trainer.

  • 1/5 Regina B. 10 months ago on Google
Horrible customer service. They mess up accounts all of the time. When you go in to figure things out and try to get it fixed, they say they will fix it and don't. They take no responsibility, in fact, the workers behind the desk handle issues with a lackadaisical attitude and put no effort into trying to help. They are quick to charge your account and claim your memberships are expired, but when their mistakes are brought to their attention with facts, they say it will take time and they can't do anything. Do not join this gym!! You will regret it!!! You will find charges that make no sense or other people added to your account that you don't even know.

If I could give them less than a one star I would. All Texas family fitness are terrible. They shut down with a 30 day notice, do not prorate Billings, and just transfer their clients with a letter on the door. I wouldn’t sign up with them ever again. They had the nerve to send me promotional offers to my mailbox but can’t send a letter when gyms are closing. It’s a scam.

Worst fitness club. Facility is fine but they cheat while you sign off the deal by just saying its monthly fee and just enrollment fee and later charge some additional annual fee. Manager is very rude and talk trash

Terrible customer service. We have been longtime customers. Through Covid, through when the hours of the club abrubtly changed. Without notice. Still remained loyal. Had to cancel due to move and they STILL charged an annual fee because it "fell within 30 days of cancellation" Bill be the montly dues, sure. Do not bill me an annual fee for something I will never use. Incredibly bad performance on TFF and their management.

Nice gym. Has everything I need. However, I want to express for the Number of years I have been using this gym I have seen such a high turn over rate of employees. I get it. The front desk workers are young guys building experience likely in high school. However, the management staff is rotated around like I change my underwear. I have worked out in the morning and in the evening doing 2 a day sessions and I see the same people working there and see the same people working there on the weekends. I ask myself… what is going on here? Do they not get any time off? It appears that corporate or whoever doesn’t care at all about their employees. They just want to fill the spots, push the numbers and line their pockets while the YOUNG management staff sacrifices their friends and family time. Here’s what I think is happening, (I managed a gym in California years back so I am very observant) The management staff gets burned out, likely bothered on their attempted lunch breaks, with zero time to clear their heads. If you want to improve production, improve employee moral by giving them an unbothered lunch break to eat regardless of state law. Let them workout and gather themselves so they can come back rejuvenated. Give them a set time to leave for the day and have the Assistant Manager scheduled in to pick up for the late night flow to close. If you don’t have an assistant manager. It’s corporate leadership, not in house leadership. The GM is middle management merely an echo of corporate. So I say to corporate if you take care of the employees they will take care of you. I’m tired of having issues and being told “that was a previous employee that signed you up for that and no longer works here” and I am sure anyone would just skate by and collect a paycheck in one of these positions that abuses them as such, get fired and not even put it on their resume in a short run. Complaint and solution provided.

The most affordable family oriented gym that I could find and the staff is super friendly. Shoutout to Kevin. Has everything I need and excited to check out the classes. Good place to rehab not super packed during usual busy hours.

The staff is always happy to see you and very helpful with any needs. Also, the members always nice and patient with machines and weights ...and to top it off...I left my earbuds and case recently after a workout and someone turned them in ....thank you who ever you are and so nice to know there are honest people at TFF. :)

Request transparency & truthful business practices. Be friend children in absence of adults/parents & sign them for long term contract for billing. Accompany your children at the gym so that they are not preyed upon into signing any contracts. This business needs to leave Coppell & make room for an honest business to step in.

Texas Family Fitness is awesome! The staff are incredibly friendly and supportive. Anytime I walked into the gym I was always greeted and encouraged to have a great work out. One particular person on staff—Brady— always made sure I gave my all in my workouts and stayed consistent. I can honestly say I only had one week out of 8 where I wasn’t consistently working out 4 times a week but otherwise I stuck to my workouts and my loved ones were able to see the change. Def recommend this gym if you’re committed to getting the body of your dreams!

Pros: Overall it is a pretty good club. The cost is reasonable. The staff is professional and friendly. The club is reasonably clean. The equipment is well-maintained. Cons: Corporate needs to work on getting their mobile phone software to work properly. We did have a problem. A physical trainer was billing us for sessions that never happened. However, Management fired the physical trainer and has assured us we will be reimbursed for the sessions that we were charged for that never happened.

It’s A good place for working out but when it comes to your kids they don’t care. They will have untrained staff (front desk employees) cover if the kids club employees are out sick. That is a BIG liability if your child gets hurt bc those employees are not trained or know what to do. I might have to start looking at LA Fitness where they have their stuff together

At the Coppell location- The club is affordable - The facility has plenty of parking- however : there’s Nothing special about equipment much has been there for over five years. The facility is way Overdue for an update. I went to the Lewisville location and they told me I couldn’t work out there because my membership was only for the Coppell- yet it’s the exact same company They do not offer very many classes. When a piece of equipment breaks which is customary & understandable- it typically takes weeks or months to get repaired not a week or two The water fountain handle has been broken for over eight months The sink handle in the restroom has been broken for over six months The staff is more about hanging out with each other than truly engaging with club members. The club management seems to turnover every 5 to 8 months.

Only reason I give 4 is there are a few machines that need to be put in to help people that are working on recovery. ie. Belt Squat for people that have had bad issues. If these machine were added it would be 5 star. I have been asking for 2 yrs for these. Place is always clean and they have a great staff on hand.

Worst gym ever! All they care about is money, no service…rude staff, never smiles or says hi…but love to constantly message or stop you while working out to get you to sign up for personal training. Better to pay a bit more for a far better experience in a different gym where you’d feel welcome and motivated to go to. Please note if you decide to end membership they will not only charge you for the next month fee for 30 days notice (fine understandable) but if the annual feel falls within the same time period they will charge for that too…so messed up and such a ripoff. Definitely don’t recommend! Not worth the cheap monthly fee even.

Love, Coppell, Texas, family, fitness, and all the wonderful people who work and work out there! I’ve been teaching there for over two years and I’ve met an amazing group of people that I have come to call friends. If anybody has been thinking about joining a gym, please come by and try one of my classes.. Yoga, strength, cardio we have it all.

I’ve been a member since 2012. The gym has undergone a great deal of changes over that time, but has definitely found stability with its current staff. Allen is a great GM with a genuinely warm and attentive nature. I’ve been through several personal trainers during my time here, most of them great, but my trainer Ryan has helped bring me to a new level with my fitness goals. He’s incredibly reliable and really knows what he’s doing. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, and Stephen and Brandon are always there to listen to any concerns. Roan has been there since before Covid and is a huge asset to this gym. I love the staff here.😊

I have been a member since 2000. The staff is always very eager to help! The gym is wonderfully organized with a variety of weight machines as well as many variations of cardio equipment that will suit anyone at any age. If you are going in for the first time, make sure to ask for Stephen. Oh! And the group exercises led by Melanie are simply amazing! Her energy is infectious and the group is very supportive!

This place is cheap and has great equipment and this location in my experience is CLEAN, more clean than the extremely overpriced Lifetime gyms. People are saying it’s a scam but literally every gym is hard to cancel your membership at. If you’re willing to pay for lifetime to go twice a month, save yourself a buck and just go here and get a day pass if you’re so scared to get “scammed”.

I have been a member for two weeks. I am amazed at the quality of the classes that are included with the membership. Melanie is great at giving modification options if you need something low impact. I've been a member here at Texas Family Fitness for many, many years. I have had several wonderful trainers including Julian and Roan who have treated me so well and helped me achieve my goals. I also love the classes led by Jaime and Melanie who are both amazing instructors. I recommend anyone that is looking for a new gym to join!

This review is specifically for the Coppell location manager, Allen Coates. I have been a member of this gym for over 3 years. When I joined we had a great manager who cared about customers. Since she left, everything has been a mess. Managers changed every few months and none of them cared about the condition of the gym or the customers. Corporate cares even less. Complaints are completely ignored. Until Allen. Allen has finally stepped in as a manager who cares. Problems that have been ignored for over 2 years are finally being addressed. He has stuck by his word and improved the quality of this gym in just over a month. I hope we are able to keep him for a long while. Kudos to Allen. Thank you for caring.

Pros: clean equipment, wonderful Zumba class Cons: Communication- I had brought my kids with me at least 3 times during “child care hours” and would need to leave because they close the childcare due to issues with A/C or staffing. However they did not send out a text or email to clients explaining this and wasting my time. Childcare environment: Broken toys, Xbox doesn’t work, older kids will be extremely bored. Staff is on their phone, seen this at least 3 times. I stopped going for two months and wanted to cancel but had to go up there to cancel. Went up there today to cancel and it takes up to 30 days, which means I’m stuck till September going. 7/29/23. The lady in the child care area was wonderful! She has kids so she understands! No issues with her😁

I have enjoyed several visits so far and plan to be there 2 or 3 times a week. The environment is very conducive to a great workout and your equipment fits my needs perfectly. I am a very satisfied customer - Thanks.

I had cancelled my service at the beginning of last year after I had frozen my account due to the pandemic and stopped going yet TEXAS FAMILY FITNESS kept drawing money from my account even though I wasn’t using it. I stopped payment thru my bank and have called corporate, left voicemails and emailed them but no answer. I have gone to this location yet they cannot help me. NOW I’m getting a debt collector sending me a bill and hurting my credit. This is unacceptable I need all my money back that was wrongly taken and the debt dropped and a formal letter sent to the credit bureau or my next step is contacting a lawyer.

Been coming here for around 6 months. Pricing is extremely affordable. Gym has always been well maintained and I’ve never seen any of the machines out of service. Staff is always welcoming and they don’t bombard you with sales pitches every-time you walk in the door. Love working out here, highly recommend.

Gym is clean and has a solid selection of equipment. I came from the Denton location. I think the staff there are a bit more relational, but it’s not bad here. I just dig good customer service. Landon is the first persons name that I learn here on staff. So that’s cool. Over I’ll I’d recommend training here. Good price and clean and working equipment.
