If you are looking for fine dining, Bobby B's Southern Cooking and More does not fit the bill. However, do not let this detour you from stopping in for a visit. Here, you will find genuine Southern hospitality and comfort food. It does not get any more down home than this. What I love about Bobby B's is the moment you walk in, it's as if you stepped back to the days of experiencing a small-town family diner filled with family and friends, and a gracious owner, who cares deeply about his customers, greets you in the most welcoming way. That alone is a priceless experience. They offer a home-cooked meal prepared from scratch that far surpasses any fast-food restaurant. Here, you will not find fine tableware and trendy decor, but I loved that! Bobby B's is as unique as it gets and offers a dining experience from long ago, an experience difficult to find today. The establishment may be in an older building, but that character adds to your dining experience. You place your order for your meal and drinks at the counter, and when it's ready, it's delivered promptly and piping-hot to your table. For drinks, you have a variety of canned soft drinks to choose from: water, lemonade, and juice/Kool-Aid. I ordered the fried shrimp for my main entrée, which comes with two sides. For my sides, I had the potato salad and Mac and cheese. The potato salad tastes freshly homemade as if it just came from grandma's kitchen. It's full of creaminess, and it reminded me of a recipe my grandmother used to make. It was the ultimate comfort food. Each bite took me back to a time I missed. The Mac and cheese was tasty, creamy, and full of cheesy deliciousness. The fried shrimp was seasoned exceptionally and cooked to perfection. They do not offer a house sauce with the shrimp, but they seasoned and prepared it so perfectly that I enjoyed every bite. Truly, some amazing shrimp. My husband had the smothered pork chops with fried okra, corn bread, and collard greens. He enjoyed his meal and thought the pork chop and the gravy were exceptional. I sampled his okra and collard greens, and I enjoyed every bite, especially the okra. We sat for well over an hour at the restaurant, visiting and enjoying our home-cooked meal. We had an experience at Bobby B's that will always stay with us. And as we left, the owner walked us out, thanked us, and wished us a good night. It truly doesn't get any better than that. You will have a personable and memorable experience at Bobby B’s. It’s not fine dining, it’s not a spotless and quaint restaurant, but even without all that, it’s something else, something more. They will not serve your meal on fancy plates, and your canned soda may not be icy-cold, but you won’t care. On a hot Texas day, it’s a dining experience full of comfort food and kind people, people who care and make up our communities. Bobby B’s offers something we need to get back to in a time where people have lost the true meaning of relationships and experiences in our communities.

Gave into cravings and decided to try a local bbq. I was immediately impressed when I first walked in. I could not only smell amazing food but I could also smell how clean they keep their shop. Very friendly and customer service was fantastic! Food came out fast and oh my god the taste and flavor,!! Got the brisket and catfish meals. Brisket was cut into cubes, which I love!!! Words cannot describe the flavor, tenderness and everything! Catfish was crispy, moist and packed with flavor. I decided to try to collard greens and I am so happy to have tried them for the first time here! All the flavor and the mouth feel of it is amazing. I highly recommend trying bobby B's!!!!

Food was not what I was expecting the brisket was dry and drowned in sauce it didn't help. The Mac n cheese was not what I was expecting the only thing that was good was the okra because they were hot. The restaurant itself could use a make over and deep clean. Very overrated in my opinion will not be returning

The food is always slammin at Bobby B's! I'm not sure what the gentleman's name was that took our order, but he has outstanding customer service!

My favorite is the catfish & shrimp plate. Love the smothered neckbones plate just as much. Down home cooked meals made from the soul. You can tell they love what they do & very polite employees running the place. So happy to see this business thriving & Mr Butler opening more locations. Well deserved!! Great food made fresh & with soul. It doesn't get much better ya'll! Don't let the appearance of any Bobby B's location deter you!! Excellent food & even if you try something for the first time there that doesn't appeal to you, be sure to give another menu item a try. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.

I ordered on DoorDash and I was VERY impressed. I got the catfish fillets with a side of pinto beans and collard greens. EVERYTHING was seasoned perfectly! So delicious.

Hot darn! Super glad I decided to try them. Skeptical on restaurant BBQ, but this was delicious. Bottom of corn bread burnt, but that's how it's supposed to be! Cheesiest Mac n cheese around. Meat need a LITTLE more juice, but I'll def try again.

Amazing dishes. I don't think there is anything on the menu that isn't 5 star quality. Every dish is perfect. The location is out of the way and doesn't look the most welcoming from the outside but don't let that keep you from an amazing meal. You guys are making delicious home made tasting food. Keep up the great work and thank you.

The Catfish is on point. Fresh, hot & crispy, some of the best I have had in a very long time. I will definitely be coming back for more comfort food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bobby B's Southern Cooking & More, and it was an outstanding experience. The BBQ ribs were a true highlight – prepared with meticulous care, they were not only delicious but also exceeded my expectations. The attention to flavor and quality was evident in every bite. The staff at Bobby B's were exceptional, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Workers arguing with each other the entire time we waited for our to go food. They would not answer their phone to place an order. They had no brisket from 2pm on. Mac and cheese was flavorless, collards had no seasoning at all. No corn bread, only thing our kids would eat. Had people in from out of state wanted Texas BBQ total disappointment. Ribs were good, sausage nothing special, baked beans were good. No sweet potatoes, they were yams and over sweetened. Not interested in going back.
