I like to go to Copperas Cove City Park to photograph nature... Well maintained, (except for the back corner... where I was photographing. Looks like it hasn't been mowed in a long while.) The Park is a good place for a nice walk, or jog. It has basketball courts, baseball fields, a large pond-- for fishing and/or feeding of the many ducks (just beware: some of the ducks might follow you, or latch on to little toddlers/small children. It happened to one of my son's, years ago.) The park also has a swimming pool, and playgrounds. The leash law for pets, still applies in the park.

We LOVE the wild life here 100% but the city really needs to clean up the park more. Yesterday we saw 4 injured ducks and I'm sure half of the injuries were caused by human waste. 😔 I threw away 3 stray fishing lines that could've cause more damage. But the trash and grossness in the lake was very sad. Other then that noise our family loves coming here to give them BIRD SEED 😊🦢🦆🐣

It is a decent park. Could use some upgrades such as playground, bleachers, and road. Most families enjoy going there because of the ducks. They like to feed them. There are plenty of ducks there. And all sizes. For the most part, they are friendly but they will follow you around...like a dog :-)

Big park. Needs more landscaping however due to layout and lack of irrigation I doubt it won’t be happening soon. Needs designated parking and stripping to be updated. Plenty of garbage bins and cans. Can the city update and enlarge the Park entrance as well as the signage on the Community Center. Park is wide open with little shade . The baseball/ soccer fields could really use some bleachers and shade. Would be helpful if there were location names and arrows to designated zones. The swimming pool is a little hidden gem off on the far side up the hill! And it is a small pool, small parking lot

Great place to bring your dog or kids. A lot of green areas and the park has nice ponds. Unfortunately, the area is very dirty and I decided to pick up some trash near the ponds. Please encourage everyone to just put your trash in the many trash cans around the area! The turtles and wildlife will thank you!

Nice park but updates are needed. There are also some dangerous parts around the creek. Parents may want to keep an eye on their children. They are doing some updates to some bathrooms and fields. I suspect as budget allows the park will be much better in the future.

This is a nice park with a lot of activities when the season for festivities. The people of Cove are really laid back and still a bit country. We've enjoyed the park on several occasions. We went on the 4th of July a few years back and the only draw back was it took over an hour to get out the of the parking lot because of the congestion from all the vehicles. The fireworks were spectacular and we're close enough to see them we'll.

I took my nephew fishing . He caught a bass I caught a cat. The ponds? Are so overtaken with 🐢. I'm surprised we caught fish. There is always something going on. Huge park. Something for everyone. They just added a "dog park" lol No path for disabled people, NO light turned on when it gets dark. There is a light post with a light, just not working? No benches to sit while your dog plays no shade. We all know how dang hot it can get. If you're going to build a "dog park" follow through. Don't just put a fence around the back 40 and call it a dog park. That is my biggest complaint. P.s others have told me their dis satisfaction with the "dog park" that's what I listed above. They do have a lot of fun stuff to do. Pool, 2 fishing holes, lots of room to walk, play baseball, soccer, basketball, a playground. Over all I really Ike it.

My 3 yo niece had a great time on the jungle gym but I wish there was one specific for younger kids. We also fed ducks/geese and she had fun. We carried her the whole time to avoid the overly determined ones. Be prepared for the entire flock to desend upon you. Hope you have some fun at the park like we did!

This is such a beautiful park. So much larger then I had expected, it really has everything from a playground to a pool, many fields for all types of sports and basketball courts. There is a stage for concert type events, a fishing pond, and several picnic benches, etc. The community hosts several events here which brings in crowds of people which the park can easily accommodate. The two lane road that takes you there does get a bit backed up from time to time - especially with Rabbit Fest the communities annual festival.

Went here for the 4th of July fireworks show. Very nice park though you couldn’t see everything because of all the people. But I do notice how clean and nice it was. Lots of trash cans and ample parking. Good place for an event and would definitely be a great park to come back too!

They have a few ponds with lots of turtles. Restroons are under construction but they have a few porta jons throughout the park. It was nice to see about 6-8 camping spots with electricity, not sure about water and sewer. Not sure if they are free to camp or if you have to contact the city

So excited to finally have a dog park! Very easy to access for soccer practice and games! The upgrades are looking nice so far, can't wait for them to be finished ☺️

Came to meet up with a 2nd cousin I had not met. The park was very large offering a sports field, picnic tables & grills, and a pool to cool off in. I do not know the cost to get in the pool - it was not crowded. Dogs are welcome and there were doggie bags and a trash can for the bags after clean up after your pet was complete.
