I highly recommend this urgent care center. Very prompt and courteous attention upon arrival. Nurse David and Dr. Cordova exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. Carey at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful ensuring that I was comfortable while waiting and at the end of the appointment. Offering me something to drink and helping me with my first time utilizing the medication dispense machine. I was in and out in no time. Baptist sure hire and have the best staff, as other institutions should follow their example.

Why was my last review deleted?? You don't want the truth to come out. I will write again and have this known to the public. This place is the WORST!!! My family and I had the worst day yesterday because of lack of preparation the doctors have here. My mom originally went on Sunday – Aug 27th – feeling bad. She asked about RSV and the doctor mentioned adults can not get this virus. They sent her home with no medicine, just saying she had a cold. My mom got worse so we went back yesterday – Aug. 30th -. Doctors did some tests including and X Ray and that was when the doctor and nurse told us my mom has a big mass in her lung indicating she had cancer. They expressed we urgently needed to seek medical treatment and go to a hospital for further examinations. We were devastated. We went to the hospital with this story… They performed the proper analysis and thankfully my mom did NOT have cancer but instead she had a very advanced pneumonia and also RSV (which according to this Urgent Care) it was impossible for adults to get. Yesterday was one of the worst days of my mom and my family considering all the streets we passed. We are completely traumatized. There is NO professionalism in this urgent care and the doctors have NO preparation do be taking care of people.

I got covid while I was in Miami and I went to this urgent care facility called Baptist Health, they are totally scam! The doctor didn’t even do test and didn’t give any medical prescriptions and spend only 15 minutes or less in the room but end up charging me $400 The worst part is, the Doctor want me to pay $400 that just for her. And the facility want me to pay them also Separately $504 that just for visiting the facility. In total I have to pay them almost $1K !!!! What is this ? I don’t get it? the health system is really very corrupted !! Do not do my mistake, this place is a scam

I recommend this urgent care even though I waited an hour because my visit was not of an urgent matter. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

They were relatively empty when I arrived and my son was admitted fairly quickly. After this I was not very happy with how things went. I spent probably 1 hr in the medical room and had about 2 min worth of conversation total between the nurse and practitioner who made the official diagnosis. Then i was brought and iPad and had a virtual conversation with someone in billing, I had to wait for some time for somebody to actually appear on the iPad. Then was the wait for discharge papers. All in all they administered a covid test and checked my sons ear for an ear infection. Had i not gone through my insurance the bill would have been $375 they say. With my insurance they said I should expect to receive a bill closer to $500. I chose insurance to try and work down my deductible. Overall it took too long and is overpriced in my opinion. Honestly I used to love urgent care, but it’s gotten too expensive and too much time is spent on administrative stuff. I will say the staff was very friendly and they did apologize for the wait and told me they only had one doctor on hand.

I’ve been here once prior and had a great experience - so when I went back I was hopeful for the same but I was mistaken. The nurse asked questions I had already answered in my initial explanation. Then the doctor came in, asked again what seemed to be the issue (was there any communication between anyone?) and spent about 2 minutes in total with me, even asking me what I thought the problem was. I ended up being told them were unable to do a simple swab and was referred out. I spent more time waiting for both the nurse, the doctor and the billing person you see on the iPad then I did speaking to any healthcare provider. I spoke more to the woman in billing on the iPad during the checkout process (which is not in any way more convenient) then anyone else. I shouldn’t have wasted my time.

My first time visiting the Coral Gables location. The overall service of the staff and physicians was quick, attentive, and accommodating. Was on a lunch break from work, and was able to be seen in an appropriate time, and had my needs directly addressed. Great service!

Check-in was easy and I was admitted quickly to the examination room .The attending MD came in shortly thereafter , my prescription was filled by an automated dispensary machine by entering the prescribed number. Done ! Can’t get any easier , great group of friendly medical professionals. Been there before, but it has only become a better experience!

I went to this urgent care after a fall while walking outside. Everyone, from the registration person to the nurses, staff, and Doctor were outstanding! They were caring, thorough, and professional. I was able to get x-rays, stitches, antibiotics, and follow up. Highly recommend this urgent care.

I went to Baptist Urgent Care because i had a chest cold for 3 weeks and I was afraid I caught pneumonia, which would kill me. I receive prompt treatment they ordered xrays to eliminate pneumonia and gave me a series of antibiotics and 5 days of Prednisone which will kill any inflamation. They explained each procedure and they were each kind to me. I think they have found the majic of treating similar things and their protocol is up to date and, finally, the best part: I did not have to go to the drugstore because Urgent Care has a vending maching that filled my prescriptions with clearly lable bottles.

I recently visited Baptist Urgent Care in Coral Gables due to a knee injury, and my experience was nothing short of outstanding. The entire staff, from the security personnel to the front desk team, treated me with exceptional care and professionalism. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the male nurse who attended to my knee injury. His expertise and attention to detail were remarkable. The facility at Baptist Urgent Care was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. From the moment I walked in, I felt confident in the quality of care I would receive. If you need urgent medical care, particularly for a knee injury, I highly recommend Baptist Urgent Care in Coral Gables. Their commitment to providing excellent healthcare services and attentive and compassionate staff sets them apart as a top-notch urgent care facility. Thank you, Baptist Urgent Care, for your exceptional care and dedication to patients like myself.

Incredibly quick service but wonderfully in depth and personable treatment by both the Doctor Cordova and Nurse Priscilla. I couldn't ask for better providers or experience when I visit a medical facility. Truly sets the bar high. The option to pick up your prescription directly after in the Lobby is also a phenomenal amenity/perk.

The intake and professionals were very nice and the process was seamless. My main complaint is that testing for COVID should have been standard which is was not. I asked about it and was told it wasn't necessary. Not the case at Urgent Care in many other states, and in hindsight, I realized this policy is most likely a reflection of the Governor's politics and his desire to keep the state's COVID numbers low. PS, I did have COVID which showed up vividly on my at home test a day later.

Baptist Health Urgent Care is the best. I came in this past Sunday evening and there was no wait. The nurses were kind, with a great sense of humor! The doctor explained what kind of care I needed. I was in and out in about an hour. The check-in staff was super friendly and the registration was easy. I’ve been here before for non-emergency care and have always had the same experience. Terrific!!

Very efficient and courteous…. Minimum wait time but longer one once in examination room…. Busy I guess so okay…. Doctor on point and clear with explanations of results. I have been here several times in the past several years and always the same…. Highly recommend

The entire staff, from the front desk receptionist through the doctor, were incredible. Went in with an “urgent” need and was treated with kindness, competency and a sense of urgency. So grateful to have this resource in our community!

Great service! The woman at the front desk- her name was clara or Claire- she went above and beyond offering coffee, drinks, snacks and is so kind. The nurse and doctor were also nice and supportive. I was unexpectedly surprised. The only downside was the long wait- I went in at 12pm and left at 2pm just for a few tests to be taken. The wait outside was at least an hour and then another 30 min for doctor.

This team knows what they are doing. The key is to get there when they open for minimal wait time. Nurses were incredibly helpful and catered to what I needed. Not to mention the facility is very clean and they still practice social distancing.

I was there for about 90 minutes. The staff explained everything and listened to my questions. They made certain that I understood how to take the prescribed meds and even told me where the pharmacy was - I wasn’t feeling well at all and needed to go the closest pharm. Everyone was extremely professional, courteous and kind.

Sabrina the RN was amazing, she was so kind & caring & made me feel comfortable from the start. Her care was quick & efficient - she started running tests as soon as I came in to expedite my care. Jonathan the APRN was excellent, he did a thorough assessment & then explained the diagnosis as well as answered all of my questions. My prescriptions were sent directly to my pharmacy so that they were ready to pick up after I left. David the discharge RN was very nice as well. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend this center.

The physician assistant Daniela Canasi was great she was quick and efficient. It was really easy to get an appointment I walked right in. However I had to wait 20-30 minutes to get discharged and I heard someone asking why I hadn’t been yet. They also sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. Edit: changing this to three stars because they sent it to the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to.

Staff at University location was kind, pleasant, and supportive during a time I didn't feel at All well. Wait time was VERY reasonable at 40min. Unlike the Coral Gables Urgent Care with wait times few hours long, for which I left and came to University location Urgent Care. Thank You Kindly University Team for your Help during an Unpleasant time.

Everyone was very nice, professional, informative and helpful. The receptionist was so pleasant and efficient. The nurse and physician were excellent at identifying the problem, explaining about it and explaining in detail about the medications and how to take them. It was so convenient to be able to get the meds from the InstyMeds machine in the lobby, and the security guard even helped with the machine! Baptist Health Urgent Care is a wonderful resource for our community.

Amazing experience. I was taken right away, everyone was professional and courteous, and they addressed my problem perfectly. From the receptionist, to the nurses, to my excellent doctor, I could not have had a better experience. I hope I don’t need Urgent Care too frequently in the future, but, if I do, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I give my highest recommendation.

The entire team was attentive and responded expeditiously to my needs. I was impressed with the service from the front desk registration, to the nursing team to the physician on staff. They resolved my issue and attended to me quickly. The ability to secure my scripts on site was phenomenal too!

  • 5/5 Bruce L. 1 year ago on Google
My experience here was very positive. The wait time was very short and everyone was very courteous. Even though they were extremely busy, a nurse quickly attended to me and then a doctor shortly after. I was able to do a chest x-ray, blood work and get my prescription within an hour. If I ever have a minor health issue in the future, I would definitely return!
