Part 1 I had an issue over a year ago with this restaurant. The problem was simple and mishandled by their management. I noticed that they put double the amount of avocado into a roll and then a sliver of fish. They said this was standard and rudely hung up. They refused to remake it or refund the item even though I was willing to bring it back. Part2 Fast forward to today, I placed an order with the same phone number. I picked up my $65 sushi order from this restaurant, and when I began to eat, I noticed tiny hairs covering my rolls. Evidence is in the pictures. I called and explained this, and the first words to me were, “you’re the guy we had an issue with before” at that moment, my jaw dropped, and it became evident that this was done on purpose. I disputed the transaction, and I’m doing my part to let the community know what this restaurant is capable of when things aren’t going how they would like. Avoid at all costs. They prioritize profits over making their customers happy. $11.50 for a salmon avocado roll where 75% of the roll is avocado? Gross and ill-minded individuals who have zero knowledge of a business where customers are #1. Take care

This place never disappoints! It is always delicious! It’s definitely one of my top sushi places to go to! We got the Patakong, Havana 305 and Florida Roll. And we got fish fried strips with rice from the kids menu! There is free parking around the restaurant. Easy to walk-in and be accommodated.

Stop looking for a sushi place this Sushi Kong has it all, great taste, amazing service and invigorating ambiance. Today they had a live DJ which made the night even more special. We ordered 2 appetizers Besitos Especiales and Parking both were really tasty and Krispy. Then we decided to try the Hello Sushi only for cheese lovers, and it was surprisingly good.

We went for brunch and the food was amazing. This was my 1st time having Japanese pancakes and they were so yummy! We had drinks and 2 rolls as well. For drinks we had a mimosa and a frozen YuZu. The sushi rolls we had were the blue bird and the Florida roll. The blue bird was the best, I would definitely order that one again. Can't wait to come back again. Thanks for the great food and customer service.

This is one of the best sushi places I have been, the food is amazing and the way the plates are presented is unique. Each sushi has an unique flavor, most of them are sweet. I would recommend ordering a sushi roll, the other plates are not that big, but are a good option in case you want to accept the dessert challenge, because they are big and full of sugar. The service was good, starting with the call from the reservation to the happy birthday song to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Definitely will be back to enjoy more delicious sushi.

Kong is a great place for sushi and other interesting dishes in Coral Gables. The place is very welcoming and the service is very good. It has a large parking lot feet away from the restaurant. Our favorite dish out of the three was the Miami Lover roll. The topping of tuna with tamarindo sauce is out of this world. Highly recommended. The Patakong was also delicious. A little messy to eat but well worth it Finally the Coco Loco was very good however it had too many peppers for our taste. The fish and arepas were very good though. If you are into peppers of all colors, this dish is for you. Overall the meal was very good at a reasonable price. Must give Kong a try.

Once again , I go to a place and people are hyper-concerned about what's in my bags , pockets etc. I'm paying you for a meal and have to deal with this nonsense. The meal itself wasn't bad. I had the Alaskan sushi rolls , the hitched sashimi with tuna and salmon and I had the large kale salad. I generally don't eat kale so having some raw kale was a change. The service however was horrible. I had to say 3 times I wanted the check. I walked to the back and 2 of the workers followed me to the back and stared at me while I wanted in the restroom. So at this point, I'm assuming there are cameras in the restroom. So this place should be checked for surveilllance equipment and recordings of people using the restroom. Wish I could give a 0 stars

Highly recommended ... the decor is absolutely stunning and the Food was Off the Charts. It was like eating a piece of Art. So Delicious. Had the Patakong (the messiest meal I had but the BEST ... So unique that I can't even tell you what it taste like ... just order it and enjoy.), Romeo & Julliet, Miami Lover and BESITOS Esperanto were all very good. Dessert was a show stopper ... gigantic and so beautiful ... CheeseCrack ... insanely amazing. You must eat here.

Amazing service , food was delicious!!! 100% recommended, I have tried 50% of the menu and never disappoints. Every plate is better than the other. They even have a 8-10 seating area for a small party group that is so cozy and pretty so you could celebrate a special small event (like a birthday)

Food is always good !!!!! I always end up with food coma !!!! Now for the service…. It needs to be a bit more friendly and even if not busy have 2 severs instead of one on the floor and the other behind bar and floor

I love this place. The vibes and music are great and the food is amazing. I had the ginger kale salad and the Havana 305 roll which has plantain and smoked salmon. Super yummy!

Everything was delicious, you definitely have to come and try it, super recommended, we ordered the Patakong, a sushi pizza and some roles, they were all my favorites, the staff was super attentive and friendly, it was my friend's birthday they played a happy birthday song and a dessert with a candle, how cute, thank you so much!!

I've had this place on my "Must Try" list for a while and I must say, I'm disappointed. Disappointed in Myself for not coming sooner! From the Ambiance to the Service.. From the Food to the Drinks. This place hits ALL the right spots. If you're looking for traditional sushi, this is not the place for you. However, if your looking for sushi with exciting and delicious flavor combinations then This Is The Spot for you! Trust me.. You won't regret it!

I have to give a special shout out to Sushi Kong for making sure that I had an amazing birthday experience on today. I was a first time visitor and was hesitant about going there today because I did not want to have a disappointing meal on my birthday. However, the service was amazing from the moment that we entered until the moment that we left. The server, Javier, was attentive and not pushy with the menu items. He gave us a few recommendations and gave us time and space to think and make our food selections. On the first picture from left to right, we got the Sushi Pizza, Blue Bird, and the Miami Lover. For dessert, we got the Cheesecrack. The food and portion sizes were amazing. The food was flavorful and just full of yummy goodness! I will definitely come back again and again. I recommend that everyone visit Sushi Kong.

Let me start off with saying that the service provided is excellent, the restaurant is clean and the wait staff are very attentive. However, the problem is the food. They say #bestsushiinmiami but seriously disagree. The rice in the sushi is extremely dry, to the point that I'd argue that it was a bit undercooked. I also ordered the fluffy pancakes, which did not meet my expectations. Honestly while they LOOK like pancakes, the taste and texture remind me more of a cupcake mix than an actual pancake souffle. It honestly tasted like they made cupcakes in a pancake shape and served it as such. It's also absurdly sweet, to the point that I felt sick from eating it. Overall, although the service was good, the food is very sub-par. If you want quality Japanese food, look elsewhere.

The food was decent but overpriced, the fluffy pancakes were not actually pancakes those were some loaf cakes stacked together like if they were pancakes and it was nothing like what we expected, definitely not worth the money. The only good thing there was the sushi, and the fried was not all that, especially for $30

The service was ok, went when it was pretty empty . But thoroughly enjoyed the food. Definitely recommend getting the dessert with someone , huge sharing sized portion given.

First time visiting Sushi Kong it was amazing. The service was great and the food even better. I really liked the concept behind the food and the mix of flavors. The sushi’s were super original and totally worth the visit.

Everything about this place is amazing. Absolutely best rolls in town. We ordered a Blue Bird + a Romeo & Juliet. Flavors explode in your mouth. For dessert my wife and I got an unbelievable fried Cheesecake covered with vanilla ice cream, chocolate and oreos. The service is A+. Javier the owner really takes care about his customers and he is always down to make you happy and satisfied! No doubt we gonna keep visiting this place.

I went here for a lunch date on Friday. I got the mango tango and overall it was a nice roll. The cream cheese in the roll was pretty overpowering. We also ordered the Alaska Special and unlike the name, it wasn’t anything special. It was actually a bit bland, vanilla. The best part of the lunch was that we were able to get a maki roll free when we ordered the two other signature rolls (ALaska and Mango). We ordered the shrimp maki and for such a simple roll, it was the best thing we received. The decor inside was very cute and the coloring paper and crayons on the tables were a nice touch.

Nice vibe, decent food ... A bit on the pricey side. We got a couple of rolls, kale salad and yakisoba noodles with chicken. The noodles were the best part of our dinner. Their teriyaki sauce is awesome! Worth a try ...

I was recommended this place by a friend, and he mentioned it’s a must visit. Sure enough I was greeted instantly seated right away. And the food amazing maybe the best sushi we’ve had it’s a must visit. The owner is very nice has a lot of patience and humble. You won’t be disappointed I guarantee it.
