My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Miami Marriott Dadeland for two nights. The hotel has many modern amenities, and you can tell that the hotel has recently renovated their rooms. After a day of enjoying ourselves, we decided to spend the afternoon at the hotel pool. It is a kicked-back pool where you can bring your own cooler to the pool. With Publix only across the street (for snacks and drinks), a guest at this hotel could enjoy the day at the pool with minimal expense. My wife and I also had the pleasure of eating dinner at the hotel as well as enjoying a few cocktails at their lobby bar. Nicholas, our bartender, was fantastic. He made suggestions for dinner, drinks, and local sights. All the staff at this hotel are top-notch and a guest here will be well attended to. Next time my wife and I come down to the Miami area we plan to stay at this hotel again.

The most disgusting outdated room I’ve ever stayed in. There was bodily fluids stains on the couch which looked about 30 years old. Holes in the curtains, mold and bacteria in the bathroom and just a real horrible feeling to even being in the room. The manager who I forget her name was a lady and was so rude when I complained. She said that even she wouldn’t pay the price the room costs but yet wouldn’t do anything about it. The room really should be investigated as it was totally unhygienic and make me feel sick. I would recommend to people staying in this area to go the the Marriott inside dadeland mall. The rooms are modern and the staff are lovely. This hotel is a complete dump and be warned if you are booking online. You may end up having a holiday in a room that makes your skin crawl. If management wants to get in touch I would love to forward you the pictures of the mold and bacteria in the air vents and the fluid stains on the sofa. There should be some type of investigation into the conditions. I was not the only one complaining, I heard many other saying the same!!!!!!

Room wasn’t cleaned after day one and hopefully we have a better luck tomorrow. Rooms are decent but nothing special. Towels in the room as rough to the touch and need to be changed. The rooms don’t have bottle waters and the front desk charges $3 per bottle. For the cost it feels like a couple bottles per night would be complementary. I will consider the Courtyard or AC across the street next time.

The room key did not function. The hotel sent their engineer to fix it. After opening the door twice without knocking while trying to fix the problem, he told us it was the battery and went down to fix it. A few minutes later, we received a call from the hotel. They couldn't fix the lock and we would have to move right away. They sent up someone to help us move after we had unpacked and just as we were getting ready for a wedding rehearsal in Coral Gables. All of this was very unsettling. Also, the room service was expensive and the food was mediocre. The breakfast skillet didn't come with toast. The oatmeal was a small cup and the " fresh berries" described on the menu were cranberries. The "pecans" were actually raisins. After we left the hotel, I realized I had left behind my phone charger. I was given an email address by the front desk. I wrote to the email address about the charger and never heard from them. Needless to say, I do not recommend staying at this hotel with mediocre service.

Yesterday, we had our wedding in Pinecrest, and we reserved a block of rooms at the Miami Marriott Dadeland to accommodate our guests. However, our experience at the hotel was not up to par, and I would hesitate to recommend it based on our experience. Initially, we were told that we could add more rooms to our block as more guests confirmed their attendance. However, the hotel failed to keep us informed about the availability of rooms, making it difficult for our guests to book. We had to continuously contact the hotel to request additional rooms, which was inconvenient and embarrassing when our guests wanted to book and not have to get us involved. Another problem we experienced was this past Thursday. The hotel told us they would be able to distribute hotel gift bags to our guests upon their arrival. Unfortunately, multiple guests reported that they were told there were no gift bags for them, despite their names being on the bags matching up with the reservation information. Last night when we were heading to the wedding the valet on duty refused to let us leave without paying for the car when we told them to charge our room as we were in a hurry to get to photos. And today we had a farewell brunch from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that extended past our 12:00 p.m. checkout time. When we asked for a room checkout extension, we were denied and told that we hadn't arranged for a checkout past noon. The hotel staff showed no willingness to accommodate our needs and told us to “figure it out.” While the property itself was nice and the bar service was good, the overall handling of our wedding by the hotel staff was disappointing.

Do not stay here! First don’t valet unless you enjoy having your things disappear. You tell front desk and you talk to loss and prevention and no one cares. Second: The rooms are poorly cleaned. They look like they haven’t been dusted in I don’t know how long. Third: You might want to bring your own towels if you decide to stay. They give you exactly 2 towels and don’t ask for extras because either they will give you less towels the next day or tell they don’t have any. How does a hotel run out of towels ? Fourth: They are “understaffed”. The employees either don’t care or are poorly trained . Save yourself a headache and don’t stay here.

This hotel is in a very convenient location. I would not rate this hotel 4 stars. The hotel is more of 2-3 stars if considering the building by itself. I stayed 2 nights for my medical school graduation that was at Watsco Center which is 10 min away. The hotel needs major updates to the rooms, halls and pool area. The rooms had old yellowish carpet. The bathrooms were outdated with a timer on the wall for one of the lights. The TVs were small. The A/C unit was subpar as we put the room at 60F on hi fan and the room remained in the 70s vs the other rooms my family stayed in. Major cons: WiFi is not available in the rooms unless you pay. In 2023 for a 4 star hotel this is absolutely subpar and offensive. This should be a standard. As per the info they provide it is available in the public areas for free. Furniture is old, and needs to be updated. They had extension cords hung with zip ties. The fridge in my parents room was not working either. Carpet was old and looked dirty. Pool view from above showed stains in the pool. Pros: Valet is 26 per day, and they are very friendly and quick to get your car. The lounge area is nice, bar is nice and they serve food until 11 pm, drinks until 12am. The hotel is in a very nice location. It is walking distance from Dadeland mall and within minutes of many other areas.

After the hotel we stayed at on South Beach, this was a welcomed changed. Check-in was quick. Our room was on the 21st floor and we had a spectacular view. And everything was nice and clean. I was a bit disappointed that their bar didn't have non-alcoholic beer, and a bit put-off by the bartender constantly making jokes about adding alcohol to my club soda and lime. I don't drink anymore, so his remarks weren't exactly humorous to me. The pool area and gym were very nice. The pool water was warm, which was perfect for the cool and breezy evenings. It's nice to relax out there and chat the time away until they close out at 10pm. And you can watch the sunset from there as well.

Upon entering past the sliding doors you’re greeted with floor to ceiling shining, clean marble in the lobby. To the right, after entering is the main sitting area with an attached bar/lounge area with a smoking area adjoined to this area. Once you’re checked in you’ll be given an guided tour of the palatial grounds and beyond. Words can’t describe the magnitude of size of this Marriott in Dadeland. I order extra pillows on the Bonvoy application and also ordered extra coffee at no additional charge for my late night work. Spacious and extremely comfortable, immaculately clean to the white glove touch. Super soft pillows (optional). I give the staff 5 star rating. Don’t forget to T.I.P.S (tip) To Insure Prompt Service. Forever grateful.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Room on the 23rd floor very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space with big bed and coffee maker. Excellent breakfast, I chose the Classic, eggs, bacon, hash browns and English muffin. (Options of sausages of Canadian bacon) Once again staff great and very efficient. Publix is a two minute walk and the mall is close by too. Good views of downtown Miami and Key Biscayne.

Stayed here after a long day on the road for work. They were able to get us some last minute rooms, late night, and we were very grateful. I love this Marriott property. It has an elegant, legacy feel to it. Not modernized, but still very nice. It feels like a new, but classic Marriott. The room was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the view was good. The location is very convenient. Within walking distance to several restaurants, a Publix, and the Mall is just a few blocks away. There is valet parking available for a fee.

The hotel is nice but definitely on the older side of the spectrum. Amanda at check-in was very impolite and unprofessional. After giving her some constructive feedback at a later time, she just made excuses and didn’t apologize. It’s unfortunate.

Great meeting space for our conference and the food was amazing. Rooms are really nice and the area around the hotel was easy to navigate to restaurants and other shops. Everything was done with class and it made our stay amazing. Thank you to the team for taking great care of us from parking, check-in, room service and of course the event staff. We had no problems with location, food or rooms with the Miami Marriott Dadeland. Staff was friendly and did a great job while we were there for the conference.

Comfortable, clean and well appointed rooms. Large pool terrace and well equipped gym. Staff very helpful. I didn't eat here but colleagues who did, said the food was tasty. A number of restaurants and supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk, along with Dadeland Mall. Very enjoyable stay.

Quite disappointed with my recent stay. The room was tired and tatty, but I believe some of the other rooms are refurbished. Pool area was nice and location was good for transport. AC was loud and cranky. Cosmetics consisted of 3 shampoos on the wall, but no shower gel. TV didn’t work but it was later fixed. Disappointed for a Marriott, I won’t be returning

Beautiful hotel property! Not too far from the airport and near the train if you don’t have a car! The room was so nice and clean and the bed was very comfy! The front desk staff were so nice they gave me a high floor and free breakfast to make my stay even better!

Staying here now and everyone’s been very polite. I like the gym has great equipment and a great range of free weights 5-95. Pin and plate loaded machines are in great condition and cardio room has nice new machines.

I was there from Dec22-25 2024 and it was a great stay. The staff was very accommodating and I'm forever grateful. I'm disabled and had to have certain arrangements and they made very easy for my wife and I. Everyone that worked there was so nice and responsive. I personally want to thank the entire staff( engineers, valet, desk and the restaurant) as well as management for making my stay in Miami an enjoyable experience!

Terrible experience. Unprofessional staff. I was double booked by the hotel with one reservation posting at 1:30am. I disputed it in the morning and “their system was down”. I spoke with the Marriott hotline and the hotel refused to issue me a refund for one of the room. To this day I haven’t received a refund or even a courtesy call from the hotel. All seems very sketchy to me. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Excellent VALET Parking Service at the Miami Marriott Dadeland hotel , specially from Tony !! Tony went above and beyond trying to give us recommendations on places to visit around Miami . He was always very friendly and willing to help us out with our annoying questions and concerns. Thanks again for all the service at the hotel, highly recommended.

The valets damaged our '23 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and their insurance company "respectfully declined" to pay the claim because they had no proof that the valets damaged our car. My wife checked the car before and after we handed it to the valet, and she spotted the damage when they returned it to us. I feel "respectfully ripped off." Since Marriott does not trust our word, we won't trust theirs. Never staying with Marriott again, and will tell all our friends in Miami about how Marriott does not stand behind its service.

Location is great because you can take the metro and its pretty close to downtown and the airport. The renovated rooms are cheaply built and are falling apart. My room card reader stopped working 2 hours before my flight and they had to pry the door open…

we're marriott platinum. we stay about 50 nights a year Marriott properties.. this hotel rated one of worst. at check in.."giving us a newly renovated room 12th floor" first thing I noticed when I walked in was something that resembled men's bathroom stalls. I was amazed that they allowed for totally supbar junk construction . for example the bathroom wall is plastered and wavy. all kinds of loose ends..shoddy workmanship. Mattresses are totally some junk not according to standard. I'm not going to complain to corporate because I did get clean smelling room and air conditioner was working fantastic.... dark ugly black decor.. cheap cheap flooring and they didn't even bother to floor the bathroom with tiles. instead they chose cheap cheap same junk plastic flooring for the bathroom. front desk unusually nasty. for some reason or another the lucky part of all this is there's no bad junk odors. pretty fresh as far as the air quality. surprisingly! if you must stay here expect nothing.

Great rooms if you get a modern one. Downside is the coffee not being available until about 6, how’s that going to help if I’m trying to make it to 6? Lol. Very kind staff. Very accommodating. More amenities would bump this up to a 5. Also, be prepared for about a 150+ extra charge at the desk when you check in for a ‘security deposit’.

I love that Publix, the mall, and train are right near this hotel. The housekeeping staff were very kind. The maintenance staff was quick and dutiful. Staff at the bar/restaurant were very cordial and pleasant. They tended to each customer very well. Very helpful. I liked them very much. The pool wasn't working at the time of our visit but we were given a pass to the pool to their sister hotel about twenty minutes away by train. That pool was refreshing. The bar was nice as my daughter and I were able to drink non alcoholic beverages. There were enough chairs and the area was clean. Locker room and poolside. The hotel we stayed at is beautiful, in and outside. The room was fine. We had two queens. The toilet was not working well but as soon as we called they came and fixed it and it worked proper the rest of our stay. The bathtub must have been clogged as well. The water would come up to your ankles while showering which was annoying. The room was clean when we got in. As was the hotel among entering. Our key seemed not to work but I was able to figure out if it has an error just press the back button and it'll allow you to go where you're trying to get to. The restaurant food was really flavorful and a great serving size. We were full. Breakfast was great. Brioche French toast is a must. A lot of selections, not enough stomach.

I want to send special thanks to the staff at the restaurant on the 2nd floor. I was in town with my family and in laws. I had a tragic turn of event that took place on July 9th 2023 and the staff was well accommodating that it brought me to tears. As my wife stayed here several weeks prior they made sure she was comfortable and took very good care of her. Thank you to Nicholas (hostess) and his team in making sure we had a time of ease as we grieved the lost of a family member. You guys rocked!!!!!! Definitely would be staying here on my future trips....

Remodeled rooms are nice but those waiting remodel are VERY worn- dirty carpets broke vanity missing furniture etc. some issues with housekeeping but Alicia at check in is a rock star. She single handedly turned my one star into 3. My whole group of 30 were impressed with her energy and customer service! Location is great for mall and restaurants within walking distance Bar drinks VERY HIGH-bottle domestic beer $9

Very clean and modern rooms. Friendly staff. The only downside that I saw was that there wasn't any place to get a coffee in the morning without going to the restaurant. The good news is that there's a Starbucks in the Publix grocery store less than a five minute walk away.

Great experience overall here.. rooms were great. Customer service was good for the most part. Front desk manager needs some work though on follow through. I had a bar charge to my room that wasnt mine and it took 3 days to resolve. Most hotels handle it immediately.

Had a great stay at the Marriott Dadeland. Conveniently located within walking distance of Dadeland Mall, a Publix, the metro rail, and other neat attractions for those visiting the area. Friendly staff as well. Traveled with a family of 4, 2 kids - great experience!

  • 3/5 Keith T. 2 years ago on Google
Bar service was good but even though the valets worked hard it is annoying to only have valet parking. Also if you're here on business and expensing your room they will not charge you for the final day of valet parking until after they've sent you your receipt. Rooms are generic brown rooms with a small bathroom.

I had a very pleased experience at this hotel, especially at the bar lounge. The bartender Jairo make the best gin and tonic that I’ve ever had. I highly recommend stopping by.

Good location for the mall. Publix grocery store a minute away. There are plenty of restaurants in the area with some streets blocked off for traffic, to accommodate outdoor seating. My room was somewhat dated but cleaned properly.

Love this place. It's right by the mall. You can shop and eat at good restaurants within walking distance. They have a good restaurant for breakfast and the bar is really chill. Staff is friendly. Rooms are ok but need some more outlets for charging electronics.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Location has a lot of amenities around so no issues if you’re looking for a place to eat or a place to shop. Have stayed here a few times and it’s been great every time, I especially love the aroma from the air conditioning unit….

Beautiful hotel down the street walking distance to restaurants and dadeland mall. Valet service only they were very nice and attentive. Rooms were very clean, and the staff including the cleaning ladies were great. They do have a nice bar downstairs as well to hang out. Didn't check food menu.

The hotel is very well managed and operated. Everyone on staff was professional and friendly. That included the valet, the front desk staff etc. There is a huge video screen that takes up an entire wall in the lobby showing amazing adventures underwater to skydiving which is beautiful to watch. The rooms were fairly well sized and our room had a great view of the city. The rooms are immaculate with comfortable beds, crisp linens, bright white towels and premium brand bath amenities. I would definitely stay at this hotel again for those reasons and it is also centrally located in an area with great shopping and dining options.

Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. But the best part of our stay was meeting Steve at the hotel bar! His customer service was exceptional!

Facilities were good, room was well maintained, big king size bed - way too soft for me, with two bedside tables where each bedside table have a light - not adjustable brightness unfortunately - too bright. There is also a sofa, to which I find it too big for the room - it makes the room clattered. The room comes with enough storage, fridge, large 50” Samsung TV, coffee machine, free guest wifi. Coffee machine is provided with disposable paper cups and some UHT milk, the coffee is filtered. Only two tea bags options - English breakfast and Earl Grey. Sugars etc were also available - see photo for details. There is also a security safe hidden in compartment above the fridge / below the coffee machine. The USB port is not working next to the bed - bedside table - nearer the window. Air condition is available and the control panel is on the wall next to the TV - easy to access and operate. The room (bedroom) is little bit outdated, I would suggest better more suited decor and modern look, on the other hand, the bathroom was the best room - tidy and clean with good modern space that offered lovely spacious standing shower with big sink next to it and toilet basin nicely located next to the shower - in the corner. The door to the bathroom is frosted green/blue glass. Service at the check-in: Staff generally lovely, but somehow lacked the professionalism, acting immature and not giving full attention to customers. The staff were more focused on their private conversation - disappointing as first impression always counts in my case. Valet car park: Disappointing, not professional, very bad attitude. The cost was reasonable at $25 per 24 hours (overnight) - but not advertised clearly and when I’ve asked the valet staff and also the hotel staff for details, they were hessitant to tell us the price and how the service works - eventually after I have started asking multiple direct questions, we have had our answers - this should not be the case, it should be transparent and not ‘hidden’. Facilities in the hotel: We were here for pleasure as well as business and we have found that there is no space to work from anywhere within the hotel due to lack of privacy and silence - the lobby music / lounge music is played too loud to be able to work or concentrate. When we have asked for somewhere to work from apart of our room, we have not received straight forward answer and definitely not one with a solution. Checkout: We have asked for extra 45 minutes for checkout (checkout time is 12:00) to which it was not a problem by the staff at the front desk and assured us there won’t be any additional charge, nor anyone will ask us to leave earlier than 12:45. At 12:10 cleaners arrived to clean the room asking us to leave.

The hotel is nice, the location is great. The only reason to wonder what else in the area might be better would be because this hotel’s rooms are now appearing to be dated. Ie, it needs a refresh soon. The staff is great, lobby seating area is perfect, etc. just needs room refreshing.
