Definitely not up to the Marriott standard. -Rooms are not maintained, don’t let the pictures fool you! -Dirty carpet made room smell like sweaty teenager’s room. -Bathroom had cracked mirror, rusty lamps, shower had mold and mildew. Bathroom floor looks like the grout has not seen bleach ever! -The elevator still not fully repaired! (Works on and off) -Carpet and furniture throughout property are heavily stained and dirty. Not sure if Management knows what they’re supposed to be doing. —linens were fresh and clean -Front desk staff are friendly and kind doing what they can with what they have. -They offer really good breakfast. -The pool is pretty. -Both the owners of this property and the operators clearly don’t care about their staff or customers. The location worked for me, but there are other hotels down the road. I would not return to this property.

The staff was absolutely hospitable! The overnight auditor was very welcoming as I entered the building. I was there during a very busy weekend however the staff was fabulous. I will definitely stay at this location next year. The rooms can definitely use some renovations.

Pros: Sheets smelled clean/cozy bed Provided a mini fridge for your own food + nice shampoo/conditioner wash and blowdryer Poolside was peaceful Some staff were nice (the cleaners + cafeteria) A great location Cons: Tiny bugs all over my bed. Called staff to tell them and they asked “what do u want me to do about that? We have no other rooms” Construction and drilling on 6th floor The front desk girls are not nice and not hospitable at all. step up the customer service

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The wifi worked really well I was able to connect my firestick with no issues. The carpet feels clean enough and the bed felt comfortable. Shower pressure was strong had no delay. Some issues I would say would be our AC unit was really loud and was making a buzzing noise later in the night that I noticed and also our bathroom light started flickering later at night and would not stop. I would have mentioned to front desk but it was checkout morning by the time it started getting really bad. Would recommend as a stay though. Forgot to mention the pool is open 24 hours which was nice. Did not see any continental breakfast though in the morning

At first glance, this place looks pretty decent. The lobby's nice enough and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately as you dive in a little bit, it's pretty rough. The room was kind of disgusting. The bathroom had black stuff growing in the shower, the vent fan mounted on the wall was covered in hair and dust and the mirror is peeling off. My room had an issue with the bathroom light where it would blink rapidly when you turned it on. We called maintenance and he looked at it and said that it's working just fine you just need to let it warm up. So after 1 to 2 minutes, it quits blinking. One of the elevators opens and closes extremely slowly and is in need of repair and the gym smells like old moldy wet socks. The place is touted as having been really renovated but that's just not the case.

We booked our stay with a 3rd party travel company through my employer, and when we tried to check in, we had an issue with our reservation. Patty at the front desk went above and beyond to work through the issue and guarantee we had a room for the night. We ultimately couldn't fix it that night because of how late it was, but she printed off all the necessary paperwork we needed, made notes for the staff in the morning regarding our issue, and gave us a room for the night. Despite such a unique and complex situation, she was very professional and kept a positive attitude the entire time. We contacted the travel company the following day and got the issue resolved.

rented three rooms for 3 days. We were not told to leave a sign indicating that the room should be cleaned - Their default is "DO NOT CLEAN" and they did not clean for two nights. One of the rooms was never cleaned, even after we posted the sign front desk indicated. - Staff said the owner ordered them to clean only when asked to clean before 5 pm. very noisy / cheap fan in the bathroom. This chain is a disappointment of the Marriott quality. It should not says it is Marriott hotel.

My recent stay at the Aloft was unfortunately far from satisfactory. The room and hallway carpets were stained, giving an unclean impression. Additionally, the blinking light in the bathroom was bothersome and disrupted any sense of relaxation. The broken headset on the phone forced me to use the speakerphone to communicate with the front desk and the coffee cream was rotten. These issues significantly impacted my comfort and overall experience. I rate the Aloft with two stars. I hope the management takes these matters seriously and works on improving their services and facilities for future guests, as it is hard to believe this is a Marriott property.

Had a late flight arrived @ 1:30 am, only to be told I cannot check in because they are auditing the system and I have to wait another 20-30 mins... Extremely unprofessional and poor service. Chris who is the manager either has no training or his folks are not trained properly. If you have pending guest that are arriving wait until they are checked in before a night audit. Absolutely unprofessional. I am beyond exhausted and I have to wait..Unprofessional.There are 3 guests so far that are waiting. Unprofessional

Great hotel in a great location. Patty, the guest service agent is so helpful. When I asked her for a local Cuban restaurant, not only did she find me one, she also printed the menu for me. She is super helpful and has made this day that much better! I would highly recommend staying here!

Thank you so much to the staff. We had such a wonderful experience we didn’t want to leave .. staff was so polite and treated us like family. Beds were so comfy and they cleaned our room daily. If there was something we needed they were very attentive to it. Thank you so much to all of you. Will definitely stay with you again if we come back to Miami.

If you’re looking for a dog-friendly hotel with modern amenities in the Kendall area then this is the best place. The service is superb, the space very welcoming and modern, a nice pool area, outdoor seating, and there was even an enclosed dog run! We will be staying here next time we’re in Miami visiting family.

Im several ocasiones while I’ve been remolding my house I have stayed at this location and I can honestly say I have yet to in counter a problem. Starting with the new remolded rooms to the morning front desk staff Cindy and Elizabeth on to the afternoon shift Carlos and Patty to the Night Shift all of housekeeping have amazing hospitality been here a little over a month now and totally don’t understand why anyone would write a bad review. If there is a maintenance problem they care of it right away need an extra towel right away all in all this hotel treats you like family

I recently stayed at the ALOFT Miami Dadeland and had a fantastic experience. The modern design and vibrant atmosphere of the hotel were very appealing. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. The location is convenient, with easy access to shopping and dining options nearby. I would definitely recommend ALOFT Miami Dadeland for both business and leisure travelers.

We recently had a problem with our room, when calling customer service they fixed it right away!! It was a nice place to stay at and I recommend everyone to stay here. Elizabeth ,a staff, was the kindest towards us and treated us amazing. Overall, recommend this to everyone.

Best budget friendly hotel. The rooms are clean. Ample amount of parking has a starbucks right across the street. The hotel is welcoming and has the most amazing staff.

Dirty!!!!! Roaches in my room had to cancel and get out. Dirty floors in the lobby and elevators looked like they have never been cleaned. Bad vibe. I can't believe Marriott would allow this hotel to operate like this. Don't stay here!!!!!

If you have to be in Kendall, this is a good option. The price has increased the bit over the past few years but the hotel has a couple of advantages for us. They are pet friendly and the people there are. Glad to see you come in and act like it. When we have to be here close to the hospital this is our choice for overnight or a couple of days.

The hotel is close to food, shopping, the University of Miami, and the beach (somewhat). Lots of street traffic, so be prepared for that. There's a pool, bar, work station, and food court with cooked food options all downstairs in the lobby area. The room was adequate and clean. There's not much of a view from the rooms, though.

This is the worst Aloft I have ever been to. It seems as if it was an older hotel and was changed to an Aloft. The carpets are dirty and feel moist. The bathroom is dingy. Upon check in, the system was down and I couldn't get my room key and the toilet wouldn't flush. Terrible.

I stayed here recently for a couple nights and was impressed with this hotel. The rooms were updated and nice. The pool area also looks like it was updated with new features and furniture, which is always nice to see. The service was also excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Miami Dadeland area.

SUPER! We loved it! We chose the Aloft Miami Dadeland to stay before we left for our cruise. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive. The location can’t be beat - easy walk to Publix (super convenient since we forgot to pack a few things for our trip), multiple other stores in the area, and the mall. Plus, right next door is an awesome Cuban bakery that we ate at for breakfast an a delicious Thai place as well. They are doing renovations in the hotel right now, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. We were lucky and got one of the newly renovated rooms on the 2nd floor. The room was beautiful, comfy bed, and quiet. Just what we needed after our long flights from Canada! The pool area is very nice as well. We cannot wait to return to see everything else they’ve done!

We stayed here for two nights and would not choose this hotel again. We had an item delivered there and it was supposedly lost. Everyone kept saying that they would soon go to check the storeroom and finally the end result is that it was either stolen or lost. My room was prepaid on Expedia and when i provided them with my credit card for incidentals during check-in i was then charged again for the room. I am now having to contact Aloft and Expedia to try and get my money back from one of these parties. Bathroom grouts seemed like it needs a good scrubbing as a lot of them were mouldy. There was no gift shop to stop and buy basic things like headache tablets etc..

Speechless !! the place was horrible !! 1) Bathroom fixtures broke and almost hit me in the head. 2)The sink was clogged 3) shower door is very hard to close 4) bathroom, light fixture keeps on flickering and it won’t stop until you turn it off!! The whole bathroom was filthy! They don’t even leave an extra toilet paper 5) The room door was very hard to open! You had to push it with your body just to open it 6) carpet was very dirty and it smelled bad ( so bring slipper ) 7) they are not very considerate with their guest, allowing construction during the day ( so if your doing work or trying to sleep it will be hard ) 8) The house keeping during the day was very load !! They keep on talking very loud, and you could hear it all the way to room Overall experience was horrible and will not stay at this hotel ever again Not worth the Price !! They should just list the price of this hotel under $50 a night because it’s that bad!! Really Bad experience!!

This is a really cute hotel for a nice price. The rooms are decorated nicely ,was clean and had no bad odor. This is a pet friendly hotel which is a big A+ for me . Pet gift at checkin was a nice surprise.

This is a solid Marriott option, it was pretty quiet when I was there but I enjoyed a clean room with a great view west towards the sunset and a flock of parrots that would sit in the tree out front. The Cuban bakery across the street was also amazing! Nice proximity to highways and amazing restaurants for business travelers in the Kendall area.

The hotel itself was fine, good a/c in room, hot water, minimalist fitness center, complimentary coffee/tea & internet with booking. The service itself, however, was a problem. The body wash container inside the shower was empty & my wife put in a request with the hotel front desk attendant 3 times for extra towels for our room to no avail. Given in to frustration, she was finally able to hunt down a maid on our floor & procure the towels from her. There are better places to stay in Miami for the $300.00 per weekend night we paid to stay here; can’t really recommend this place with a clear conscious.

This was by far the worst hotel experience ever. Do not stay here. It is a dirty hotel- this place shouldn't be offered by Marriott. We originally booked a 3 night stay using points and after one night we asked if we could leave and if they would refund us the points for the next 2 nights. They agreed- well at least they said they did. It's been 3 weeks now - still no points returned- to make matters worse they are now lying to Marriott corporate saying we stayed all 3 nights. Marriott can easily see that I stayed at a different marriott and yet nothing is being done. This hotel has lied multiple times about my situation. Had I known it would have been this difficult I would have just said forget the points and go to different place but now it's a matter of principle. I'll be back in Miami area next week so I will stop in to speak with General Manager myself

Staff was nice and tried their best to accommodate us, arrived into our first assigned room and found the AC unplugged, shower only had burning hot water. Staff issued another room to find the AC turned off. Also very humid in there. Assigned a third room, this one only has cold water, no hot water. Limited parking, not very clean.

Room is extremely dirty and out dated. Staff is extremely friendly. I don’t plan to stay my entire stay only staying tonight because my flight got in very late.

  • 1/5 Niti M. 1 year ago on Google
Terrible! Came here to stay with family and the room was dirty, dark, and smelled extremely humid. Coffee was not good, parking was minimal and the pictures of the rooms and area are false! Ended up not staying the night there even though we paid for the room.

Under no circumstances should you stay at this hotel! I was so surprised that this was even apart of Marriott. From the time I stepped off the elevator unto my room floor and saw how disgusting the carpet and the walls were I should’ve turned around then but I was so tired and just wanted to sleep. The shower & the bathroom were disgusting the grout was black!

My fiancé and I stayed in this hotel as our last-minute option since our airnbnb reservation was canceled. I give this hotel a 2 stars because: Pros: Very friendly staff, including the front desk receptionists, the maintenance guy, and some of the housekeeping ladies. They also provide free parking which is great as well as free coffe or tea! The location was okay. Stores (mall) and some food restaurants were nearby as well as Publix. Cons: we got one of the worst and smallest rooms in the hotel. The bathroom didn't have shower doors!! and the lighting there was horrible since it was glitching all the time. The main bathroom door was broken so we asked for a room exchange. They said they were fully booked which I understand but they didn't fix any of my issues and never called me back for a new room availability as they told us so. The room overall was dirty and dusty. The drawers were very old that they were hard to open. The carpets were dirty and smelly thay we even had to buy an air refreshing bc that's how bad it smelled. I had to constantly ask for housekeeping otherwise they wouldn't do anything to our room like in any other hotel I've been to. Also, we got hit by a car in the parking lot while we were sleeping in our room and asked for a security video as evidence but the "manager" said they are not allowed to do that but then the next day we asked again and she said "we didn't see anything in the video " and left us hanging. She was the only rude person in this hotel but whatever. Overall our stay in this hotel was eh. But since me and my fiancé were constantly going out and turn back very late we didnt care much at the moment, but my suggestion is to take care more of your hotel. I hope they could constantly clean it. Not just the rooms but the elevators, the pool area, the gym and the hallways.

Overall we were very disappointed with our stay here. We checked in about 6pm on a Thursday and the front desk staff were so rude. They did not greet us and made us feel as if we were a bother to them. We got our room and it was in the corner next to the fire exit which was probably 30% smaller than the normal rooms. We asked to switch and were told nothing was available and we would have to take a double queen bed room vs a king room. We decided to deal because we could not even lay our luggage down the room was so small. Once we got down to the front desk they magically found a different king room. This room was better however the air conditioning was on its last leg and the room was quite dirty. The hallways are very dark and dingy. The front desk staff at night were just working to hang out (talking, on their phones, not acknowledging guests). I will say that the day staff were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to have a late check out. The maintenance and housekeeping seem to be very friendly. The gym and pool are very nice. To be apart of a Marriott brand though this hotel is a let down. I suggest staying a half mile away at the other Marriott suggestions.

12/30-01/01 12/30- I stayed here for a total of 2 nights. First of all upon arrival and getting to my room. I notice someone had been in the bed, the tv remote doesn’t have a back to it, the tv remote was in the bedsheets & did not work properly. Turned on but didn’t work with tv. When I asked the front desk about it the young man said “I don’t know but I can change the batteries”. Sweet angel. Batteries are not the problem here. So I ask to switch rooms. Which he seems shocked about. But agrees. I get to the next room. The mirror is broken in the corner, smells musty, mini fridge doesn’t work. At this point I am fed up and just accept it for what it is. 12/31- Fast forward the to next morning. There’s no coffee up front in breakfast area about 9am. I go outside, My car was hit in their parking lot while I was asleep. Luckily the person was responsible and left the info up front at the lobby desk. 01/01- Check out day. I asked for 2 clean towels around 9:30am, I called twice. The first time to ask abt them and the second time to inquire abt them. Waited over an hour and they never came. I checked out and was done. Overall. Wouldn’t recommend. Cheap but not worth it. If I was staying longer than 2 nights I’d have taken my business elsewhere. What a way to start 2024.

If I could give this hotel 100 stars, I definitely would! Hotel was nearby a mall with loads of stores to choose from. Apart from that, pet friendly! Hotel rooms were spotless, very-well maintained. I would like to thank the staff. Two of the staffs, if I’m not mistaken Cindy and Elizabeth; excellent customer service. THE BEST. They kept on checking up on my friends and I making sure if we were good, and if we needed anything. Overall best hotel to stay in!
