Came for Dinner, the food was just OK. Service was good, ambience was nice. Outdoor seating was prime, but the food quality was not to par.

The quality of service you used to offer has diminished tremendously. To begin with, we had the worst lychee martini ever so awful that we decided to turn it down. The appetizer took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. Some were served at a time and 20 minutes later the other half and explanation given was, they were from two different kitchens, never heard such excuse. Food must come out at the same time to all the members at the table. Your waiters and your kitchen should coordinate the operation better. You should not serve Sushi Roll and not give shop stick with it and even less not serve the proper sauce to eat it with. We had to ask for all these several times, including the refill of water. The most shameful event was on the main course which took more than one hour and half to come out from the time we ordered them. Moreover, it was served again in pieces, some courses were served to one person and the other five took 25 minutes to receive theirs. There were several customers who sat down after us and finished, paid for their meal, and left before we even had out main course. This was the most embarrassment and despicable services ever encounter at your restaurant. Your manager was approached and made aware of it. He apologized and tried a remedy with free shot drink but that was very untactful and ordinary, not appreciated at all.

My go to stop when I am shopping at Merrick. The variety of options on this menu is unreal. The breakdown of this menu is easy to navigate and delicious. From hummus to sushi to salads. They do a daily happy hour which is incredible starting at 4. And currently they are doing miami spice option I posted the menu until the end of the month (September 30) bathroom is clean and spacious and great mirrors (see pic2) octopus is delicious my first time trying. I usually get hummus sushi and fries. Staff is wonderful. They do have fans outside which is great. They have a huge outdoor space with umbrellas and a small indoor area with a nice bar. To park you can park in the mall shopping garage, street parking or they have a valet in front of Perry’s. Thank you sawa for your consistency and variety!!

What an experience this restaurant is. The food is mouth-watering, and every plate will have you craving the next. The service is also impeccable, no complaints there. The atmosphere and ambience is very solid. Any dinner here will be impressive and more than worth your time and money. This restaurant has my highest recommendation.

Worst food poisoning EVER! Why two stars and not one? Because most of the time, yes, their food is good. But that doesn't delegate their responsibility as a commercial food purveyor. I called a few minutes ago. I asked "who am I speaking with?" and their answer was "who would you like to speak to?" A couple of things to unpack here: Hello? Customer Service? Where are you? I just asked a simple question and you are a high ticket business. At least, give me the name of the person representing the business at that moment. So, under pressure, I asked for "the manager". After that they just left me waiting on the phone. I wonder if it would have made a difference if I would have told her that my wife was sick, throwing up like Linda Blair on The Exorcist, over some rotten tempura cauliflower. Maybe then, facing a potential lawsuit, she would have rushed to get ne with a manager. In all honesty, I would have been ok talking to them and explaining the situation. I was sure together we would have gotten to the bottom of the issue. But, the person on the phone wanted to play some power game, so now, here we are. I tried to talk to someone at the restaurant (I have my own documentation of the call), I have the spoiled food still in my power and I am taking my wife to the hospital right after pressing "post". I am ready to bet a lot of money against what the diagnostic is going to be, since those cauliflowers are the only thing she ordered. They may have facilitated a civil lawsuit. We will see. The rotten cauliflower is on the top, the one they should be serving ALL the time is below. You can totally see the difference in color, the top being completely brown. Not to mention, the level of oil.

I ordered the lotus rolls and the luxury rolls. Both have lobster. One is lumb lobster meat and the other is tempura. I also had an order of brussel sprouts. There were a little over cooked in my opinion. I like my brussel sprouts juicy. These were cooked till they were dry. There was sauce to dip the brussel sprouts in. But the rolls were good. I liked both lobster rolls. These were nice. I do recommend

This is a great restaurant if you want to enjoy an outdoor place and eat a healthy Middle eastern inspired meal or sushi. The new recipe for the lamb lollipops, while healthier, was underwhelming. They used to be a signature dish in their perfectly grilled gooey perfection. Now, they are just grilled lamb chops with an underwhelming side sauce. The grilled octopus, however, is still a star dish.

The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the tables and chairs were all clean and comfortable. I will say the menu is a bit pricey but worth the money for sure.

Was recommended the Poke Bowl by the bartender once. It was amazing and it’s now the main reason why I come here to eat two times a week >=( Haven’t found a better establishment in Miami that can make the same quality poke bowl since. I recommend anyone visiting to ask for the bartender ‘Marcella’ as she will give you the best advice and service =)

Food was not bad but place is very small, decor is not good either and it was EXTREMELY NOISY. Our server was nice but he was so lost that I felt terrible asking a question. Nothing memorable about my experience!

I had a good time. The food and service are great. Good fusion japanese, middle western and more. The atmosphere is enhanced with the belly dancing show.

Sat at the bar, ordered beer and a Filet Mignon Wrap, the wrap was good, the steak had good flavor, the pita was a little hard and cold for me. The bartender was nice.

Stopped for dinner have never been. Nice outdoor seating area. Terrific service, the service was better than the food and food was very good. Lots of small plate items, dumplings, sushi, grilled octopus, Greek salad is what we had all very good. Menus is Asian, middle easter with Mediterranean influence. Menu seemed to have something for everyone. We had a nice time and we'll be back when in the area

When dining in Coral Gables, the majority of the time you expect to eat at a restaurant that does not disappoint and that lives up to their standards and maybe even go above and beyond. As a former Customer Service Manager dining in at a restaurant I know exactly what to look out for as far as basic customer service. Basic customer service is fine, its gets the job dine and customer leaves happy. Excellent customer service gets more than the job done and the customer leaves happy and wanting to come back. Going above and beyond customer service is by the best anyone in the service Industry can give. It allows the customer to come back and ask for the same server. Visiting Sawa in coral gables I was able to experience above and beyond customer service. Our waiter went above and beyond for us and for that reason I will be back with more people including family. The food was great, couple items were bland as other reviewers had mentioned but our waiter really made up for that and gave us recommendations. He was very attentive and he also how our day was, have we been before, and are we new the area. Doing this allows you to connect with your customer and really see what you give them. Thank you Mahmoud for all you do and we hope you have a bright future ahead of you. Sawa is very lucky to have you and you are an asset to the company. Cant wait to see you next time!

Absolutely fantastic service, food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend for any Friday night dinner or Saturday brunch! The doggie menu is extensive and accommodates for food allergies. Lily (great Dane puppy, almost 2) loves the food and dessert 🍰

I have to say that I really wanted to like this place because the menu looked good and the location is in a well established area but I was disappointed in the food.l and service. It may be that they were extremely understaffed. I saw two tables get seated and then leave because no server came. I got sushi but no soy sauce or chopsticks. I had to get up and find my own. The veggie skewers and mashed potatoes were very bland with no seasoning whatsoever. It didn't help that nobody came to ask if we needed anything. I was just very disappointed and will not be back.

Absolutely in love with Sawa. We only came for apps and drinks but was surprised at how tasty and delicious they were. Some of the best seafood apps I’ve had in Miami. I love that you can actually taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. I will be back later to fully explore the menu. If appetizers are this good then I can’t wait to taste the mains.

Been a regular here for 4 years and the place has only improved. Amazing sushi, great ambiance, and the best servers in Miami. 10/10 would recommend. Get the Long Island iced tea made by Laura and you will be in for a good night.

On 3/4/2022. We had a party of 28 people. Rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride to be. The service was more than excellent. The servers were very attentive. It was a fixed menu do to the amount of people which is understandable. The food was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend SAWA to anyone that can appreciate the Mediterranean cuisine. Thank you to all the staff that helped make this evening exactly what it was meant to be and that is unforgettable.

The food was fresh and delicious; the service definitely made the experience that much better. Elina, our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some great items to share. Crispy Brussels were delightful and the portions were more than fair. I will definitely come back.

Went there for Miami Spice and the food was excellent, even with the limited Miami Spice menu we all had a hard time deciding what to get. Everyone loved the Crispy Quail (wings), so much so that no one would share them with me but boy did they rave about them! I had the Duck A La Bleu and it was very good, not fatty like some duck can be and not dry either. The Churrasco with guasacaca sauce was so good too and a nice switch from the typical chimichurri.
