This was our first time at Canton Chinese at Coral Gables, My family and I have been coming for years to the other Location in Kendall ( now it has joined Maki sushi but keeps the traditional Chinese food ) We were close by and decided to try our favorite dishes at this location too. gotta say.. that was a good call! We ordered the Shrimp fried rice, canton steak, wonton soup, and spring rolls, Delicious as usual!! The portions are big and the best .. the price!! You won’t believe it!! The service is top-notch! Especially Lily, Mildred, Juan, Thomas and Teddy. They are the BEST! Looking forward to coming back!! For dessert, you gotta try the Thai Donuts, spectacular, delicious, won’t regret it.

I wouldn't feed the stray cats on my block with the food from here. Purely disgusting. How does this restaurant remains open!!! Ordered their meal #11 the fried rice was bland... no flavors period. I mean just take a look at the presentation of the meal speak for itself.

My family and I have been coming to the other location in Kendal for a long time but that one has been closed for a little while so now we’ve been coming to this one to keep having our favorite dishes from Canton Chinese Restaurant. We always ordered Shrimp fried rice and canton steak. This time we also have mixed vegetables, wonton soup, and crab Rangoon. Delicious as usual!! The portions are larger and the prices are great. The service is top-notch! Especially from Lily, who is the BEST! Overall we always have a great meal. Get the canton steak and the shrimp fried rice. You won't regret it!

DISGUSTING. I placed an order through door dash and in my rice there was a cockroach. This place needs to be shut down. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!

Delicious Chinese food! I ordered for delivery and my food came quickly and nicely boxed. The delivery driver (Mario) was very kind. He called me to verify my address and let me know he was close. I got chicken noodle soup, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable lo mein, and an egg roll. Everything was excellent. The portions were very generous. I definitely recommend going here if you live in the Coral Gables area!

A coral Gables favorite for decades. Don't bother with fried rice since they started using parboiled rice not very good ,save your money and calories! White rice pairs better anyway with their great flavors. Parking is not easy or cheap.

Been going there since the 1980s. Used to be a big fan back then until other options emerged. Place became complacent and it became an afterthought for years. The place lost it customer base as the food became subpar. It had been many years and I decided yesterday to take out, hoping they had improved. To no surprise it’s the same old stale place and the food is the same. Shame they can’t revamp the place and modernize their approach. To their defense you get great value. A lot of food for little money.

We really enjoyed our experience here. The place was clean and our waiter, an older gentleman, was attentive, friendly and professional. Food was great too! Definitely will be back!

My travel sisters and I was looking for a good authentic Chinese restaurant and came across Canton Chinese Restaurant. We were highly impressed with everything we ordered including the appetizers! Their service was top notch and the price was reasonable. When you're in Miami, make sure you visit & thank me later! 🤩

I am so sad. The Honey chicken I have enjoyed for many years was horrible tonight. That, and the eggroll were overcooked. Ribs, rice and veggies were ok. Employee would only offer credit for future dining-not acceptable.

Staying close to Aloft Hotels and found location on Uber. Had a craving for wonton soup that was so delicious I forgot to take a pic before I almost finished! Hubby got the Honey chicken which was huge amount! There is definitely enough for 2 with the dinner order came with 2 different meats! Easily feeds 2

Stopped in for lunch and was extremely pleased with the experience. The staff were excellent and attentive. Consistently delivered drinks, refills, dropped off napkins, etc. The food was really good. Lo mein, wonton, hot and sour soup, steamed dumplings, pork fried rice, and sweet and sour shrimp were ALL awesome! The bill was reasonably priced and they have a bar. Overall a great meal!

I have been coming for to this location for the past 3 years. When I don’t want to cook I just order some fry Shrimp Rice and Crab Rangoon. The staff working there are so nice!

Fist visit was for lunch. For 9 something plus tax you get an impressive amount of food, and it was wonderful. The best hot and sour soup ($1 upgrade on lunch special but worth it!) I have had in Florida, the main was delicious and the eggrolls were some of the freshest and best I have ever had. Friendly and attentive service as Will definitely be back again.

Had not been in years. Looks same. Food was better than I remembered though. Will return. Big place good for families.

Regarding Canton Chinese Coconut Grove. Absolute worst food ever! I am not sure how soy sauce and 4 ounces of chopped up chicken with about 8 slices of red bell pepper constitutes Kung Pao Chicken. Paid $40 for lunch size Kung Pau and Orange chicken and both awful. Literally the worst Chinese we have ever had.

Good food at reasonable prices. My duckling wasn't authentic chinese but nevertheless very tasty. Had a delicious wonton soup for starters. Very close to miracle mile in Miami.

There 2 weeks age. The service was great. Super waitress. The food was disgusting. Loaded with salt and a very limited menu. We were told it was because of co9vid. Pure B.S. On a Saturday nite the place only had 2 other tables filled. We have been going there for about 20 years. The shame of it is they lost us.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time with my family last week and what a delight it was! The staff/waiter was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The food was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. I tried the eggrolls, special fried rice, and steak (all very tasty). I will definitely return here in the future.

We were hungry after the guitar foundation classical guitar concert at the Coral Gables museum. So we did a quick search and found the Canton Chinese restaurant was still open on a Sunday evening. It seemed quite strange that there were so few restaurants open in Coral Gables on Sunday night. After arriving at the restaurant we found that it was quite full and the staff was busy serving their clients. The food was good it came out quickly and was very tasty. I’m glad we stopped at the spot.

Canton has always been my favorite since I was young but lately it has been the worst chinese food I have ever had. The rice was tasteless and the wonton soup was horrible. I threw it away and the rice had to be fixed. Sad to say but I will never buy here again.
