I think that anyone looking to have a wedding here should know that they are extremely rude and unprofessional in the process. Came here from Tiktok where this poor girl was offered a proposal, the hotel staff member was fired, there was no communication between the fired person and the new employee taking over the wedding planning. The new person then would not honor the proposal and wanted to charge an additional $20,000. Apparently the new employee was super rude and nasty. I just feel that places need to be held accountable. Don’t throw your money away on a venue like this. Regardless if they rectify the situation or not, they obviously don’t have it together.

This hotel is off a busy highway and the metro is close, so it’s noisy. When you check in there is a $20 “credit” per person added to the room, which covers water, use of bikes, and Prosecco at check in. The staff at check in was neither welcoming nor friendly. Room is basic for price-doesn’t even have an arm chair. Complex that it’s in seems to be in development so there aren’t a lot of food options in walking distance. There is a lovely park and neighborhood near by for walks. Would not recommend. There are better options near miracle mile at the same price point.

nice facilities and rooms for the price, convenient location next to UM. with one or two exceptions, though, staff was quite rude and dismissive without reason on several occasions: e.g. upon entering the restaurant in the morning and looking around where to sit for breakfast, a waiter comes up and just asked abruptly “what are you looking for?” and when we answered a place to sit and have coffee he reluctantly waves us around and sat us as if he was doing us some favor. On my second night there, i was blocked and stopped at the door (did not happen before so not some kind of policy): “can i help you? where are you going?” (i was properly dressed and everything), and so on. when we booked a room i was offered a free signature cocktail upon check in; it wasn’t honored because we did not choose the one they had designated even though neither the offer on the website nor the barman said anything about it, so we understood it was any one from their list of signature cocktails. front desk person was unreasonably rude as if we had done something wrong even when i showed her the website. not a big deal but just unnecessary rudeness overall. my colleague and i were traveling for a conference, not partying or being obnoxious tourists (we saw quite a bit of that in the hotel) so the unpleasant treatment was really uncalled for. rooms weren’t dirty but bathrooms were not super clean. shower had some grime and the tile floor had a sticky layer.

Room cleanliness leaves something to be desired, housekeeping does not replace or wash dirty glasses or coffee cups, they do not replace soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. The reception employee in the photo was taken extremely arrogant and uneducated. THEY DO NOT HAVE patience with elderly guests who require special assistance. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone based on the receptionist's service on 10/28/2023 at 00:30hs

Honestly, I have no idea how this hotel has such a high rating. Perhaps because the common areas & the restaurants are adequate. But the hotel itself is no better than a 2*.The walls are paper thin with both internal and external noises, no in-room fridge, not a single beverage glass in the room & the ice machine is broken on the 9th floor. The elevators are too limited for the # of rooms and there is no service elevator, so lots of delays due to service deliveries. Service is inadequate. Staff are apathetic about missing basic conveniences such as a missing iron in the room. Will never ever return.

It’s a nice enough hotel and it’s clean/new. One thing to keep in mind, This is one of the noisiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. My room was 40 feet from the only elevator bank, and I could hear it all night long. The walls are paperthin, you can hear neighbors phone alarms going off and using the bathroom, and I don’t just mean pipes flushing. The room doors are also thin which lets in a lot of noise as housekeeping carts start quite early. The hotel is also located across the street from the elevated metro line. Which passes about every 30 minutes and can be heard in the rooms. The roadway is also very busy/loud. The hotel was not full and so the two guest elevators were enough, but I can’t imagine this being sufficient during high demand. If the price seems right, it’s a fine hotel in a great spot, just bring ear plugs. Would stay again with appropriate hearing protection. I stayed on the 5th floor, higher floors may be quieter.

I enjoyed the stay although I figured it's located little bit off from the center. Not a big deal if you have transportation. $35 self daily parking or $38 valet parking. Very nice restaurant and a cozy bar with good drink selection inside the hotel. Employees are treats you very comfortable. Very nice hotel on a limited budget in Miami.

This hotel was such a disappointment. First time staying here and the issue started at check in. Incredibly rude front desk associate Michelle. She said they possibly checked someone else in to our reservation number. I am very understanding of issues but when someone is condescending and rude then I no longer have any empathy for their mess up. This was even after I did express check in, this was far from an express experience. Next day our room was never cleaned by housekeeping, we were only staying two nights so it didnt make sense to clean the next day since we were checking out. I also asked about our $20 drink and food credit per day I was told I would receive when I made the reservation. The same front desk person Michelle told me that it was a mistake and there was nothing they can do about it. Once again she very rude about it. I don’t mind dealing with little issues like this but not when people are rude. It’s too bad when asked by other UM parents my experience here, I said stay somewhere else.

Loved our stay here! Vikash, the manager, was very nice and welcoming. The staff was excellent and provided amazing service to us as a big family. The third floor bar and rooftop was a great experience with live music and a great vibe. The rooms were very modern and clean with great room service as well. I can confidently say whenever I am in Miami, I will be staying at this hotel. Thank you to the whole staff!!

The location for us was amazing, we were down for a short stay for a medical appointment. Beautiful rooms, a little noise came from the hallway, so the walls were perhaps not well insulated, but having the air on took care of that. We were not there long enough to check out anything but the restaurant on the main level, and it was absolutely great! Good menu, definitely well presented and delicious as well. Service was good. We could have lingered longer. Rooms had comfortable beds. We will definitely come again.

Highly recommend this hotel. Very clean, the restaurants are fantastic and the amenities are very nice. The pool and outdoor area on the 3rd floor, along the the live band, are great for hanging out and having drinks. The 2 restaurants are world class, with unique and tasty dishes and a nice bar. Definitely stay here if you get a chance!

UM, August parent price gouging rates are $500+ per night (because UM starts) plus $35 to park in the next-door structure. After parking, the way back to the hotel lobby is not marked at all, so it takes a while to learn the tricky walking route back to the hotel. They charge for the Continental breakfast and $3.50 for lobby coffee. They are very tight with the towels. The card keys for the elevators do not work correctly, and two hands are often needed. The elevators are slow for a 2021 building. I had difficulty sleeping because all the rooms have very loud individual AC units inside. We turned ours off at night but could still hear the truck-like AC noise from the room next to us all night long, on and off and on. All the rooms have a very odd large picture of 5-girls white bathing suited bums out with their heads into white flowering oleander bushes. This was strange. The shower handle is very sharp and sticks out too far inside and outside the shower, so you might hit it with your elbow or arm, which hurts very badly. The bed frame corners are also very sharp, so you will bruise or cut your leg going to the bathroom in the dark. The chemical fragrance blasted in the hallways every day is intense and not necessary. The windows are screwed shut, and no balconies. Other than all that, it was good.

We recently stayed at the Thesis Hotel. This was not our first time staying here but it has been a while and the experience this time was much different than the last. First, I want to start off by saying the staff at the hotel are excellent - there were zero complaints there. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant on site with the third floor lounge was great, especially with the beautiful decor and live music. The real disappointment was with the rooms. The AC units are SO LOUD it sounded like we had a helipad in the room. Maintenance came up and tried to fix the noise but it didn't help. It was letting off a low decibel that honestly made me feel a little ill. We checked out another room but the AC was just the same so decided to stay and ended up turning the air up when we were in the room to avoid the sound. The walls/doors are paper thin as well so we could hear EVERYTHING in the hall, our neighbors etc... so that coupled with the AC made it an uncomfortable stay. I had to put my AirPods in on noise cancellation mode WITH ambient sounds to try to drown out the external sounds around us. I also found the perfume in the main areas and hallway to be much too strong. One other heads up, as someone who likes to unpack during their stays, that is virtually impossible here as there are only 2 drawers in the night stands and no other furniture or real closet space. I hate to write negative reviews but really wish we would have known this prior to this last stay. If they could fix the noise situation I would absolutely stay here again but for us, that was too much of a negative where we would not come back here.

If you are staying there during UM move-in week you will be charged 4-5x more and it is absolutely not worth it. The walls are paper thin and the AC sounds like a chainsaw, we could barely sleep. Beds are not comfortable and the space is small. The room is also very dark. No room service and asking for water costed more money. They charged high for every little thing. The workers are friendly but the entire place seems to be run poorly. Definitely not a 4-star hotel, probably a 3-star maximum. The pretty architecture and nice restaurants attached fool many people. Overall, wasn't able to relax here or have a good experience

The THesis is in a great location and the restaurants/amenities are first class. I will say I was a little disappointed with the room and the service. We had to check in late and when we got there the room was still dirty. At the end of the day, we did have an enjoyable stay and I recommend it for people looking to stay close to UM.

Shevonne really made our experience at the THesis unforgettable on our wedding weekend. She went above and beyond. We’re so thankful and impressed. We came back from the party to a gorgeous clean room with a handwritten note, chocolate covered strawberries and those little towel animal thingies on the bed. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend choosing this hotel for your wedding stay. Hopefully you get to meet Shevonne!

Second time here. Rooms are nothing special but the hotel is clean and in a nice area. No frills. $27 resort fee, with a $20 credit available per day to spend on their restaurants. Pool is fine. Bar available on the deck. 1 hour of electric bikes to stroll around the neighborhood. Street parking is limited and all metered. Onsite parking and valet starts at $35 per day.

Lovely hotel, nice amenities and decor, beautiful infinity pool. Wonderful welcome from staff to include a free cocktail. I was only there for a night but I look forward to visiting again.

LOUD. Rooms are decent and staff generally helpful. The food at the restaurant was good. The mattresses are fairly firm. It doesn’t appear to be near very much that is walkable. Few restaurants or shopping areas nearby; you should expect to need transport. It looks nice, however, I cannot rate this hotel higher than two stars at this time, because there was something broken in their elevator which clanged all night, constantly, whenever any elevator was used, which made it impossible to rest or sleep. If they ever get around to fixing it, maybe I would come back. But for $300/night, I would expect basic working facilities that don’t cause irritating, constant, banging noise, nor booking their hotel with rooms close to the elevator when they know there is a noise problem. Its a shame. I would recommend calling to make sure their facilities are working before booking here.

The food is exceptional, especially truffle scallop appetizer! A really big and satisfying portion of a sirloin steak. Cocktails were very worth it, great taste, great value. Manager and servers are very nice and welcoming, they helped us a lot in choosing the best dishes. Definitely going back for crispy duck and octopus since we didn't have a chance to try them.

Cannot fault this hotel. Wonderful, friendly welcome by the staff, beautiful and stylish rooms. Rooms were spotless too and they were cleaned EVERY day (something most hotels don't do since Covid). Location is great. You can walk to nearby restaurants and shops. There's a Metro Rail station directly opposite for access to downtown if required. Beautiful and stylish throughout. Secure parking is in the adjacent lot and charged at $36 per day (and you can go in and out as much as you like). My only minor issue was with the 20% "Happy Hour Tax" the hotel bar adds to your bill during 4-6pm. They even add this to drinks that aren't included on the Happy Hour menu......so you pay 20% more during these hours......which is silly. 100% recommend this hotel though and we can't wait to go back in the future for another "fix" of glamour and luxury!!!

Pretty property, friendly staff, clean rooms, but…this hotel is loaded with students from the University across the street. I believe this property was built with that in mind, for future students and family to stay while they visit the University. The location is right off of US1 a very busy highway with non stop traffic, it’s very noisy from the traffic, the metro train, the music in the restaurants, bars and if you’re lucky enough to to have a private party during your stay. It was so crowded at all times of the day and night. The elevators take forever and when they do arrive, your pushed out of the way. There is no fridge in the rooms which was a disappointment. I was in town to visit family who lived near by which is why I chose this property, and they allow pets so I was able to bring my dog. So if you do not mind the noise, the crowds, I would recommend the property, but if you’re looking for a quiet place this is not it.

We stayed here before our cruise and I am thoroughly impressed!! The moment we arrived we were greeted by the wonderful friendly staff. Shevonne greeted us and even gave my son a bag of m&m’s from the snack area. There was complementary champagne at the check in desk too, which was really thoughtful. The elegant and sleek design of this hotel was amazing, most hotels have beautiful lobbies and mediocre rooms but not the THesis! We walked in the room and I immediately told my husband this was one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever seen. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Nice enough hotel. Rooms are OK, but definitely not worth the price. Closed the only pool for most of the day for a private communion. How is that fair to guests? Would not stay there again

Do it! I discovered this hotel while staying at another and left that hotel to come here for a night we ended up staying two nights and we keep coming back. there's no where else we will stay from now on when we are in Miami. Staff is wonderful! Clean environment, valet parking, good food! Oh and the live band at the rooftop bar 😁👍

The third floor bar by the pool is awesome! Great seating, the area is beautiful and the food and drinks are top notch. Happy hour is every day! Hector and Jonathan are great and are masters at craft drinks. Gill and Frank always make sure all clientele is comfortable and having a good time. I would definitely come back.

The AC won't run longer than 2-3 mins straight even when set to Fan. This led to a very disappointing, frustrating, and sleepless night. If they are trying to save a buck then give me a ceiling fan. Otherwise the hotel is gorgeous, the staff was very friendly, and the room and common areas were all well appointed and well maintained. I hope this is helpful! Safe and happy travels!

This is the worst hotel ever!!!! They charged my card $356 when I never stayed a day there .. I was told I had to make the cancellation 24 hours prior to the day of my stay which I never booked .. I tried calling over and over and no one picked up the phone .. I talked to the manager after hours of calling and he informed me that I wouldn't get my money refunded and I was also told from his mouth that they didn't have a corporate number which I knew was a lie so please be aware of this hotel it's a scam!!! If anyone can help me out with this matter I'll gladly appreciate it thank you

Great location. First front desk staff was not very helpful and later sleeping the job. Our TV didn't work. Manager fixed it next day and was very courteous. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Pool is also great. No refrigerator or microwave though. Staying there for 4 days made that a bit of a hassle. Also, unless u want to pay $40/day for valet, park at the meters across the street. Overall..a great value and experience.

We stayed at the THesis Hotel Coral Gables for two nights to celebrate my daughter's 7th Birthday. When I was booking the reservation, I added a note asking if they could please leave a surprise in our room. A few hours before we checked in, they called us to ask her name and how old she was turning. When we walked in the room, we had a big tray chocolate chip cookies with Happy Birthday, and her name written in chocolate. She was instantly enamored with the hotel. And her dad and I were too. The in-room dining comes from their restaurant downstairs - Mamey - and everything we ate there was amazing! (I highly recommend the grilled cheese.) The pool is great for kids because is 3ft all around. You still have to keep an eye on them, of course, but I felt a lot better knowing my 7 year old could stand up anywhere in the pool if she needed to. The bar was right next to the pool and had excellent cocktails. We had passion fruit margarita that wasn't on the menu, but was delicious! Everyone in the hotel - from the valets, to the bellhops, front desk staff, housekeeping, everyone - was courteous and went above and beyond take our stay a pleasant one. We also booked the backyard explorer package through their website, and got some awesome perks (including free valet parking for the duration of our stay), so I recommend you check that out before booking your stay. If I had more expendable income, I would make it a habit to stay here more often. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants an excellent stay with top notch service.

No hot water. Three trips to the front desk and a trip by engineering while I was away at work and then still no hot water. Then they had the temerity to send the manager up to the room with me to…confirm that there is no hot water. The only restaurant anywhere nearby is a McDonald’s and a dennys. And they don’t serve food at the hotel from 2:30-5 except greasy bar bites so good luck if you are stuck spending two hours in the middle of the day trying to get hot water and missing the narrow window to eat. They don’t even sell yogurt or anything remotely healthy at the hotel store. Only candy bars and cold sugary cereal. Suffice it to say it’s a very unimpressive place.

Really great experience at Thesis for a family wedding! Clean, comfortable rooms with accommodating and friendly staff. The restaurant is excellent and so is the service. I only gave this 4/5 stars because the pool area wasn't super comfortable – it's completely shaded in the afternoon and located on the 3rd floor amid a total wind tunnel...

Beautiful, modern hotel with ideal proximity to the University of Miami. However, it lacks in room amenities such as plush (or enough towels) and towel hooks (only one in the toilet, not shower area). And while our room appeared clean, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed and the floor hadn’t been swept. My pillow cases were also soiled. The front desk staff were great and addressed these inconveniences immediately.

If you are considering planning your wedding (or any celebration for that matter) at the THEsis Hotel, do NOT hesitate! The hotel's modern, yet romantic aesthetic is sure to wow you and your guests through and through. As a wedding planner, one of my clients' most common concern is finding a spot that is both a clean and simple slate to build off of, no matter the vision. The THEsis provides this and more. My team and I at ad astra co. had the pleasure of managing a wedding this past November at the THesis Hotel Miami. With an incredible rooftop restaurant and bar, the guests were in awe from the moment they arrived on Friday afternoon, just in time for happy hour. The food and drinks were incredible, the service even better. Mamey, the restaurant downstairs, is also an excellent choice for a rehearsal dinner or Sunday brunch. The interior design of both the restaurant and the rest of the rooms and walkways speak for itself and really pays an impressionable tribute to the tropics of Miami, which is something that can especially be appreciated by destination wedding clients and guests. To top it all off, if you are planning a First Look with your favorite person and photography team on the day of your wedding, look no further than the picturesque central grotto area or the Ivy Terrace, an elongated grassy walkway located on the 2nd floor. Both areas set the perfect scene to privately exchange your vows or take couple's portraits before the rush of the day. All in all, the THesis hotel is a new gem located on the cusp of the historic Coral Gables that you definitely should not miss. Whether you are planning a wedding, a birthday celebration, or work event, selecting this hotel for your getting-ready photos and/or cocktail and reception space will guarantee you a picture perfect day.

The service at the THesis Hotel was exceptional. There was absolutely no issue that was not addressed timely and with satisfactory results. We were quite impressed with Ms. Shavonne and how attentive she was to our needs. (particularly calling the room to check with us). The room was immaculate with breathtaking views from the 9th floor. We enjoyed our quiet time at the infinity pool where we met Miguel. The food, drinks, and the service were all added bonuses to our stay. There is absolutely nothing that could be improved – you have set the bar very high

The hotel was full of life and energy and AMAZING FOOD. The lounge on the rooftop was a fun hangout and the rooms were so comfortable. It was my first time in Miami and after being there for a few days I would recommend the thesis hotel to anyone looking for the best hotel to go to. The staff will welcomed you with open arms and help you with whatever you need. Vikash is a great example, extremely helpful. If I could multiply my 5 star rating I would

The entire place was pleasant. First we met Michelle at the front desk—she was super friendly & a good first impression. When we made it to our room, we thought it was great. It was clean, had a river view and nicely decorated. The only thing I will say is the duvet had a stain on it after the duvet cover came off so be sure to check those & one or two complementary waters in the room would be perfect! The restaurants were great. We met an amazing guy, named Jose, who was extremely knowledgeable behind the bar. He made us great drinks and had great conversation. On our last day, we went to the rooftop bar, and that was great as well. The happy hour prices were awesome and the drinks were delicious. I definitely recommend the margarita. Before we left, we met a super friendly lady named Shavon. She was extremely helpful—she held our bags for us until it was time for us to go to the airport, which allowed us to explore the area hassle free. She also told us about this cool new ride-share app named Alto. The overall experience was great and my bf & I will be back soon!

I had a hotel block for my wedding weekend here and it was absolutely amazing!!! All of my guests loved it. We were all treated amazingly. Complimentary champagne when we checked in. I forgot a few things in my room and they returned them the next day. All the staff was amazing. The rooftop pool and bar are great. The penthouse suite is really nice, that’s where my bridesmaids and I got ready. The hotel is so clean and modern. We loved it. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended ! Close to UM but also only 20mins from business district . Very new hotel with everything you need. Very clean. Friendly staff. CVS and Starbucks close. Both restaurants are fantastic. The pizza must be one of America’s best!! Breakfast is 4/5 I would prefer more choice and a buffet. Gym is a bit weak but overall 100% I would book it again. Not recommended for Miami Beach Tourists. That’s too far.

Excellent experience. The staff is very courteous and the rooms are very nice. We were part of a large wedding party so there was a bit of chaos. They do need to something about their elevators. The elevators are extremely slow and is gets frustrating waiting for them. The service at the restaurants on site, leaves a lot to be desired. It is hard to get a simple cup of coffee in the afternoon.
