I brought in a young bird we found that fell out his nest, that needed care. The lady met me outside, asked some questions and answered some of mine. She said they will take care of him and put him with a couple others until he's older and release them together. I didn't get to go inside that area. Also I had to call before going there with the bird. They asked a few questions and said someone would call me back before coming in. She did about an hour later, asked about his condition...because he was young and slightly injured they would accept him ....she said I could bring him in during business hours. Also told me when I arrive to call the number on the door ...so I did, it took a few minutes all together. Happy to know there's somewhere not too far from where I live that will help this little chick survive.

What a cute little area to walk! The parrots are super talkative and the other animals are wonderful to look at. It is a great add on to a day out and supports a lovely cause!

Our family was visiting the area from Tampa. I always like to find inexpensive things to do with the kids. This didn’t disappoint! We saw beautiful animals, I had never seen some of them up close like we did.

Honestly, they seem more eager to talk down to people who are trying to help than anything. They interrogate you like a criminal and then treat you extremely rude. I would never rake another wounded animal there.

This center strives to help native animals in need and all of the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I attended their annual Bunny Brunch and it was such a great event!

We found a baby raccoon in our backyard. The tiny little thing was so cold and perhaps about three to four weeks old. Mamma R. never showed up so we took it to SNC. Beautiful people who were willing to help in every way to save little R..We were so grateful. Donation funds are all that they thrive on to help these little animals and more. They're willing to save the wildlife that are injured when we can't. God bless them always.

Fun place to go and spend the morning with the kids and learn a few things. They have live animals. This time, we went for the spring into spring. They walked around with a few animals we could pet. They had crafts for the kids and a scavenger hunt.

Called regarding an injured turtle that was on the road. The wildlife specialist called back very quickly. She stated that the blood on the turtle shell can be a result of “road rash” In which case the turtle can be released. I explained that I cannot determine if there is a crack or if this is “road rash” The call went in circles. I hung up the phone feeling like I was being a burden. Why not just have me bring the turtle and evaluate the turtle? There was no plan made for the turtle. I called another facility and this facility encouraged me to call Sawgrass back. I called the wildlife specialist again; there was no answer. I called the main number and was told that if the wildlife specialist didn’t answer, this means she is busy doing something else. I explained my concern regarding the assumption that the turtle likely has a “road rash” without even evaluating the turtle. I asked what I am supposed to do. I explained that I have spent hours trying to find a facility that will accept the turtle. The representative on the main facility number stated that the office will not reopen until Tues(I called on a Sunday). The representative suggested I call the police department. This is exactly why some people may not stop to help. Such a disappointment. No one is more disappointed than the turtle. I am sure that the facility may do good work. They certainly failed this turtle in need of help. This facility seemed to have a good reputation in the community but my experience has left a lot to be desired. As for me, I wont donate anything to this place. This is not to say that others should not. Very dismissive attitude. I contacted another facility.

My son and wife did volunteer work there and they had a great time and their staff was very friendly. If you ever looking for a place to do volunteer work and love animals I highly recommend.

Very courteous and kind staff caring for our animal community in need. Great to visit by yourself or with the kids. Volunteer opportunities and other ways to help and donate. They have a little shop inside, small animals inside and other animals outside. They also run an amazing camp during the summer.

Thank you to Tina and the facility again for helping to save the baby squirrel that I found injured. My school was here on a field trip and they loved it! Really good people with kind hearts ♥️

This place is perfect for family day out. Convenient located right off Sawgrass Expressway and there is a dog park and a children playground if you pass the Nature Center about 100-200 ft on the right. The nature center itself is self-guided and partial of the center is indoor while the majority of the animals/plants are outdoor. I love the fact that there is information card in each section that helps visitors to learn more about the Florida native plants/animals and there are plenty of outdoor seating areas. There is a kid area in the front right before you pull to the parking lot where there are mango trees and other trees which is a nice touch. Definitely worth the trip to visit.

Wonderful wildlife hospital with a nature center! All employees are very kind and helpful. The entire place is very clean and organized. The parrots are talkative and they have a white morph great blue heron! Really amazing birds and animals there. Small donation to enter but I'm sure they can use more donations if possible.

Place isn't well kept, but the walking trails not the cages that the animals were in on the outside. So what you see online don't expect to see it when you get there. Not much animals neither but the least they can do is clean up the place and feed have it looking representable like the pics they have here advertising.

Drove here with an injured dove around 3:30pm on a Tuesday and was told the intake person was in a meeting and nobody else could accept the dove. I was told to call a number and leave a message, but didn't get a response until 5:30pm, well after they were closed. Very disappointing to say the least. Ended up taking the bird to South Florida rescue who were happy to accept the dove even though I didn't get there until after 5:30.

Our Granddaughter has been volunteering here for several years. Because of her love of injured animals, birds, etc.. she is going to college this fall to further her education.

Smooth process for reserving our expedition online and checking in. Wonderful captain on our boat, full of information. We are some gator from their food truck and even got to pet a baby gator. Great experience!

It's a very nice place to bring your young kids to see rescued animals. They also have Camp Wilderness which is a summer camp that is more geared towards kids that love nature and animals, and it's been the only summer camp that my kids actually enjoyed.

The Nature Center is the very first place to contact should you find injured wildlife. Additionally, they offer programs that will come to your classroom or community events. For many years they were helpful when students brought in wildlife questions or when their animal hospital was necessary

I found a bird that was injured and they provided assistance over the phone and advised me what to do. Turns out it was not injured, and it was in fact a duck! Outstanding job reaching out to me within 5 to 10 minutes of me calling with expert assistance. Thank you very much for the work you do
