Not sure I understand the high rating. We came for a buzzing market and cosy plaza. We saw a rather soulless place surrounded by apartments. There were a couple of market vendors still open in the corridors surrounding the plaza, but apart from that not much going on. Maybe early October around 1pm is not the best timing to visit? Also the plaza was really hot for 20 degrees, can't imagine what it will be like when it's actually hot. 🥵

Amazing square with a nice blend of locals and visitors. Fun and safe for kids to run around. Always something going on and plenty of restaurants to dine outdoor. Very beautiful with great vibes.

Like the Plaza Mayors in Spanish cities. The Plaza Mayor, located in Madrid and Salamanca, impressed me more. There are cafes and restaurants around. When I went, I came across a pretty empty square. I don't think it's a must see place. But if you go, you can take a look inside.

Absolutely perfect place to kick back and have a nice cold drink or an icecream in the heat of the day. At night it transforms into the perfect backdrop for a romantic or festive night out. We happened to be there just in time for a fantastic proformance. A must see landmark for visitors.

I've heard a lot about this plaza. In addition to being known as the only quadrangular main square in Andalusia, it is also popular for their coffee shops and taperias with good atmosphere and affordable prices, however, due to the covid situation the atmosphere is totally different. I hope they may recover soon!

Beautiful architecture. The square was nice overall, I wish it wasn’t so cold when I went but I thought the plaza looked likens very nice place to have dinner.

Great place to visit! Very large square with shops, restaurants and bars. Got some excellent fresh fish in the morning one day and had great beers a couple of evenings during our week visit to Cordoba. Highly recommended!

The most stunning mosque/cathedral on our trip worth the time money and effort, don't buy tickets on line scammers in operation buy then at venue.

A great looking plaza that has resemblance to quite a few other plazas in Europe. Only got to spend a couple minutes here as we were headed to Madrid. There were locals and tourists in the area enjoying a nice breakfast/snack.

We were there early… around 11:30am, just as they were setting up. Our early lunch was wonderful. You can feel the history of the place.

Plaza is full of restaurants, lots of options of food to choose from. Also a market for produce and snacks.

Wonderful plaza that is a short walk away from the mesquita, boggling in its size and beauty. The al fresco seafood restaurant here also looks to be a great place to relax on the plaza.

Surprised to find such a plaza here in the small streets. Another nice place

Loved this square which we stumbled across. Full of locals. Had a bite to eat in one of the cafes which was average, but we loved the atmosphere and the buildings all around. Traditional food market is based here but was closing as we arrived here around 2pm.

It was a hot day and the square was a meeting pot Yet still the square has its architectural charms It's squarish and very symmetrical forms turn it into a unique experience

It's a beautiful place that reflects the atmosphere of this gorgeous city. One of the shops has a wicker made decorations which is unique and good price.

"The Plaza de la Corredera is one of the most emblematic places in the Spanish city of Córdoba . It is the only quadrangular main square in Andalusia and is located in the historic neighborhood of La Axerquía . Despite the fact that the first evidence of an irregular plaza dates from the 14th century , the current plaza was built in 1683 by the architect Antonio Ramós Valdés by order of the corregidor Francisco Ronquillo Briceño . Its name comes from the bullfights that were held in this space, although auto-da-fe and executions of the Spanish Inquisition were also held."

We just were lucky to pass by this plaza on our quick visit to Cordoba. Restaurants were not yet open but you can see it has amazing vibe, stunning architecture, great restaurants offers and a wonderful energy. Do visit it if you go to Cordoba.

If you've been to the Piece Hall in Halifax, UK, you've done this but better. It's a very pretty place, but beyond two cafes and a lot of parked vans, there were just stalls selling tourist tat. Disappointing there wasn't anything to actually do!

Kinda cool and plenty of restaurants and good food. But nothing special. The coolness factor goes away after 2min and then all u have is a big pretty empty square. Not really worth a visit but sure can do worse

de Corredera is the city's main square, under the arcades you will find bars, antique shops and much else that belongs to the cityscape. The square is often used for events, concerts etc, in the past there were bullfights and even public executions

Great architecture and a good place for a coffee, but beware, it's very, very hot in the plaza

A surprising plaza with very interesting apartments on three sides. Full of life, restaurants, and a food market. Worth a visit on a sunny day to have a drink and something to eat

A beautiful plaza so much going off.

Plaza de la Corredera is vast and mostly empty. It looks like a couple of similar squares in Spain, but it lacks the unity of architecture and the grace of a manageable scale. On three of its sides, it has the same architecture, but its fourth side breaks with the rest. It's a little jarring because you expect all four sides to be similar. Some might say that the 4th side breaks the monotony, but in reality, it's a matter of perspective.

Don't bother unless in the area. Huge square empty except for cafe tables. Surrounding buildings have been modernised into flats and completely spoiled. We walked in and straight back out again.

Lovely typical Spanish square surrounded by authentic architecture with very nice facades. The whole old centre is a lovely place to explore for few hours, a day.

The only rectangular bull ring in Spain. Not used for that any more. Small shops stalls and cafés and entrance to a big market.

A place where still you feel is authentic, lots of locals and tapas, if you are visiting Córdoba it’s a must.

We just wandered into this wonderful square by chance. I can't believe we almost missed it.
