I bought 2 pairs of really expensive socks in this shop recently..One of the socks developed a hole after two wears...Contated them to see if the could sort out something for me but was told I would need a receipt..Who keeps receipts for socks? As one pair is still unused I reckoned they would at least return to manufacturer.. I have bought other goods from them over the years but after this I will be using the likes of Amazon where there is no problems with returning dud merchandise.

Rude staff. Not happy with my experience there. I was visiting this store since 2015 and paying good money for their items, due to the pandemic I wasn't going out much but needed to shop new jackets for myself and family so visited the shop, I got a despicable treatment from the staff. Myself, family and friends will not be visiting this shop again in the future.

Ordered trekking shoes and Aoife put these away for me. When I arrived to the store the staff were helpful and did know about the products they were selling.

Staff ignored me lad standing at shoe area watched as I picked up different shoes and showed no interest in me or any of the 3 other people around that area. I looked at 6-7 shoes and no interaction with me nothing so I walked out. If I'm giving you my hard earned money at least say hello and ask if you need help in finding a size.

Very poor experience I'm afraid. 14 July 2022. Ordered Merrell Men's Moab 2 Gore-Tex shoes at a very good price (!). Heard nothing at all until 25 July when, out of frustration, I checked to see where the shoes were. I discovered (on the online order) an entry marked 'order cancelled 15 July'. No notification of the cancellation was made to me other than this. Poor attitude when I made contact with them about it too. Their excuse was a 'stock error' at their end that, of course, they never mentioned to me at any point. I received a refund on 19 July and I won't be using them again.

Brough a voucher online and then discovered I could not use it online ! Was not told when buying the voucher that it could not be used online , and in stores they do not have the same amount of stock they have online , so voucher pretty useless

DO NOT BUY. I bought a pair of Merrell Moab walking shoes from this company last August and used them about 15 times and by March the soles started separating from the base and starting disintegrating. I returned them to the shop and found out about their 5 week testing period that they have on all goods. They came back after this long test period to tell me that the shoes are not covered as they judge the problem to be wear and tear, Soles separating from the base could not be from WEAR and TEAR!. I have tried to discuss this further with the Cork Manager by email and he has not replied to my efforts. Do NOT BUY walking shoes from this company as you will get not guarantee on them if you encounter genuine issues. You would be better off to buy a cheap pair from Pennys as you will get better value and better service.

Went in this morning and ably helped by a lovely young lady and a nice guy, Couldn’t have been more friendly, She took ages with me and suggested different apparel to see if the jacket I was interested in would be a good fit with layers on etc, Cracking team in there

I bought an item in November which didn't fit and as I'm not from Cork, only there for college, I could not bring them back till 2 weeks later. When i returned after xmas the card machines were down and so they were happy to let me wait for the following week to return the item. The shop staff were very pleasant to deal with and I thank them for letting me be able to return the item at a later date due to unforeseen circumstances at the time. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable on their stock and very obliging to deal with. Definitely recommend this shop for any outdoor gear as they have a great range.

Was recently visiting the Carrickmines store as I needed a new jacket and boots. I cannot be grateful enough to James for helping choose a pair of boots, and Fiona for helping me with choosing a new North Face jacket that will stand the fickle nature of Irish weather and last for a long time. The two are a credit to their store, and I'll certainly be back again. Fantastic customer service!

This is a great shop to find good outdoor clothing such as waterproofs, thermals, accessories for outdoor activities etc. The store can be a bit pricey, but its worth it for the quality! They do have very good sales which can be up to 50% off so keep an eye on there stock! The staff are helpful and there is a loyalty program giving you discounts. The store is located in the center of town juat off of Paul street but there is no on street parking near by. Lovely old building with beautiful ceilings in the upstairs area.

Great store with good brands, good quality and prices are ok as well...a litlle tip, go upstairs and find sales, there is an outlet there, first time I was there I didn't know...just go ahead with it guys and enjoy!!!
