It was an awesome night only ruined by the security outside the bar. When we were showing our CoVid Passport, he started yelling at us saying that we had ruined all staff night. All of it was because we were trying to join in a table inside. Of course the whole experience was "worth it" but I'll be never coming back because lf that. My best regards to the staff inside the bar: Fast, gente and fun. They saved the night.

Was refused entry by the bouncer because I was wearing a tracksuit. It's a primitive rule from the management. You just lost yourself a customer who would've spent 50 bucks in there. Well done on earning yourself a one star review on Google instead. Would recommend the public to stay away from An Brog Bar until their rules are updated. Have a nice day!

Sticky. Stinky. Cramped. Playing a Spotify playlist does not equal DJing. Dancefloor non existent. Bouncers have an attitude problem. Bathrooms difficult to access. Only good thing is the no tracksuit policy, and the neverending cesspool of feens circling like vultures (easy access for a maul).

Worst DJ I ever listened to in my life was tonight. Didn't know how to mix a song,did not know how to read the room ,everybody was outside while he was playing ,because the people was not asking for what he was playing. Keep putting hip hop while people kept going away from the bar. I've been in the music industry for years,and to think this guy is getting paid,is not understandable. Just for creating a playlist on spotify that he wouldn't change makes no sense to get paid. Anybody with a good taste of music could do a better job. I loved this pub for the 5 years I've been here,but what I have experienced tonight makes no sense. There's thousands of musicians in cork that would do a better job,please hire them instead of a random guy. Again people is outside,nobody dancing,this guy killed the am brog.

Meh. Sick of Cork City and the many bouncers on Power Trips. Avoid this and go to the Carrig Inn. Update 24-May-2022: Man I hate giving these people money. €5.50 for Guinness... Grow up

We had a drink after dinner. While the atmosphere was great and choices of draft beers enormous, it was a bit strange we had to leave before 8 pm since our daughter was 21 (you had to be over 23).

Bouncers very rough and unnecessarily rude. Went there in a quite night and was roared at and pushed around by young lads who loved power. Would not recommend for a night out in cork. Been there before and was pretty good. But had 2 very bad experiences there. Which I was surprised by. 2/10

was refused service due to being in leggings, completely understand dress code but I explained I had a medical requirement due to having an ankle cast for a broken foot which doesn’t fit over other clothes and still wasn’t allowed to stay. staff was very kind and apologetic as I understand it wasn’t their fault but not happy with this outcome.

Had a great time here during jazz fest. The singer and clarinet player were incredible!!!

Went there because they're open later than the other bars that close at 11:30. Younger, boisterous late night crowd which is ideal for partiers and boisterous youths, which clearly didn't deter me from staying til closing. I was surprised to find out the next day that the alleyway was an entrance to the English Market near the fishmongers. I was also surprised to learn they also serve food, which I didn't know about until just now when I began to write this review so I can't really speak to that. Decent beers, healthy shot pours, and late night hours.

Horrible staff horrible costumer service will ignore you for your drink. It takes about 30m to get a drink. They will just blatantly ignore your existence.

Vomit on the floor in front of the bar, it just sat there for ages. I couldn't get served for neither love nor money. Not sure why people like this place so much tbh.

We were there for an evening drink, no food and it was really nice. Lots of corners to sit in, outside seating, music. Looks like music would be loud later, big speaker system. We will call back when around again

Nice selection of beers and a good pub quiz on Mondays. Gets very loud.

Best place to have a meetup with some friends over a drink or two. Music is kinda unique but sometimes it may not be the vibe you’re looking for if you wanna go dancing

I am changing my review to 2 star because the sound system has deteriorated so much, it's unbearable to spend the nights inside. Too loud and everything is bleeding

Amazing drinks and atmosphere at this super busy bar! Plenty of dancing and music. Outside area is nice to take a break from the dancing and music to catch your breath or just have a drink without someone knocking it out of your hand.

Went here because they were still serving food. Beer tasted past its best (Murphys) music too loud for pub hardly 1/8 full. Food too ages and was overcooked, won’t return.

Amazing pub with drinks and music. The only problem is depending on your location in the pub, the music can be too loud as loudspeakers are very close. Amazing staff and amazing young crowd.

Great bar, always good vibes. DJ could definitely be better as they replay songs in close succession and not great remixes Prices of drinks are expensive But great venue, great staff and a fun time

Guys seriously what's up with the bouncers attitude in this place 😒 asking u questions like "where were you" ? Especially when ur sober , Its a nice bar with usually nice crowd but the security brings it down they have no authority to ask this questions they are not Garda. Ease on power trip lads !!

Oh yes, if you are in Cork city with your friend, this place is quite good. Pints are nice and little space that's allows you to show your dancing skills!

Had a few drinks there on 15 July 22. Lively spot. Reasonably priced drinks. Lack of seating but wasn't an issus as was only there for 40 mins. Some good tunes played. Lively atmosphere.

Great little spot for some more varied music (from rock to alternative pop and classic remixes) instead of the charts on repeat. Small dance floor and very loud so wouldn't recommend for chats after 11pm but lively atmosphere!

Great spot, we gad a few drinks here with friends and also grabbed abite to eat, my wife said the taco fries were gorgeous and i have to say the Philly cheese steak sandwich was delicious as well, well done to the staff and management.

Terrible bar, where security stops you for wearing a sweatshirt, a lot of hypocrisy in the 21st century, year 2022 people being judged by their appearance and clothes to spend their money in a bar, terrible place, I don't recommend it.

Love it there! The atmosphere is fantastic and the servers are so friendly. Drink selection is fantastic, and the food is delicious. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a fun night out on the town.

This is one of my favourite pubs. Great atmosphere, great fun etc. I gave 5 stars before. Now I have to donwgrade it to 4, unfortunately. It is about staff behind a bar. They are very slow, they don't care, they speak to each other then take care of costumes. If it's busy they take order one by one. Old staff took 5 - 10 people together and it had a drive. Now you wait for a "beer" ages - 20 min. Not worthed. 4 stars just because it's a great place. 2 stars for what s going on there now. Get better with it soon, please.
