Very tasty food! The food here was really great quality and so were the drinks! One tiny bit of criticism (or advice...) - the waiter, though really friendly and welcoming, didn't seem to know much about the menu items (which he apologised for). I understand that it's a very new menu though and there may be new staff, but it's good to make sure the staff know the menu well. I'd still highly recommend to anyone visiting Cork!

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Didn't expect the chicken wings to be so good and yummy. Would love to visit again.

We had the best time here for a night out recently. We were upstairs in the new cocktail bar. Music was popping 😍 old school rnb vibes. The staff were honestly second to none. They were all so nice and friendly and even played a few song requests for us. Can't wait to go back.

Good place. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Better to book the table in advance if coming in a larger group or with kids.

I often ride past Electric on my way home, and because of its interesting building style, busy nights, and good music coming from the inside, I always wanted to try it both for cocktails and food as well. Hence I booked this dinner for a birthday and I have to say I was left quite disappointed. Going in and being escorted to our table was no problem at all, as a member of staff welcomed us immediately. The problems started after our first order of water. My partner asked for a bottle of sparkling water as soon as we sat down after the waiter asked, and the water only arrived halfway through eating our food, having asked 3 additional times on top of the first one. When we ordered the food, we made some alterations to the main dish sides, such as replacing the rustic potatoes of the duck with chips and the wagyu steak to be brought with rice. The dishes came with rustic potatoes, chips, and rice. On top of that, things were missing from the dishes, such as the mushrooms on the wagyu and other sides included in the main dish's descriptions. My partner received a steak with potatoes, chips, and rice (nothing else) and I received a duck with potatoes and chips, leaving the main courses quite bland and a blend of side carbohydrate dishes. On top of that, neither of us was given a steak knife, making it very difficult to cut both the steak and the duck. The last criticism of the staff is that we were serviced by three different staff members, instead of one designated to us, who did not seem to co-ordinate our order at all. Two of the ladies seemed quite confused as we were ordering and did not know how to answer our questions exactly. In terms of flavors, the glazing on the duck was tasty, but the duck skin was soft and the inside was overcooked, making the duck dry. Duck is meant to be crispy on the outside and medium on the inside, allowing it to maintain its juiciness. The steak was unremarkable. We also ordered a dessert each. The pineapple fritter was drenched in oil, and the pineapple was canned with no taste of fruit whatsoever. My partner got slightly nauseous after one bite as she is sensitive to a strong fry taste. The creme brulee was satisfactory and I enjoyed it. Overall, the lack of coordination of the staff, confusion with the order, and bland and unremarkable cooking of the food did not justify the incredibly expensive price of the restaurant. Other restaurants in Cork offer much more unique and a refined cuisine at a lesser price. On a positive note, the cocktails were good and I would return to the bar area downstairs for drinks, especially since booking the large table downstairs for an event seems like a fun idea. Another positive comment is that I had included a note in my booking for a special request, that was read and granted with no hassle. Besides the staff's confusion and incompetence, they were all very pleasant and friendly which made the experience smoother. I do not mean for this review to be overly critical, I just think it is a shame to not optimize the cuisine and staff's performance, as Electric has the potential to be one of Cork city's main night-out attractions both for food and also drinks.

Bar was quiet for food, we should have seen this as a red flag, food took about 40 mins to come and when it did 2 of the orders were wrong. But as well as that it all the dishes were just lukewarm, I don't know how long they must have been sitting. We complained thay the food was cold and they warmed them up but to be honest the dishes looked awful the second time round. Overall awful quality of food and the cocktails were awful, avoid at all costs!

Food was delicious. Drinks were good quality and they had an interesting and varied selection to choose from. We did ring ahead to ask what time the early bird finished and was told it was on the whole night but on arrival the next day we were told we were too late for it, however it could have been that the downstairs bar was who we were on to and so they may not have known. The staff were very friendly, nice people and e atmosphere was lovely. It was not too loud but still maintained a nice buzz. The setting, location and layout of the restaurant was beautiful :)

Disastrous service....one meal missing as not cooked, not a clue as to which cocktails were being served. Waited 45 mins for some drinks to be served and then they were brought out as we were leaving. Food was fine as was atmosphere.

Had a lovely dinner at Electric and availed of their new 3 course dinner for €39.99. Delicious

Was once a great pub, they changed the bar menu and that was that. Good place on a sunny day to sit by the river. Apart from that it's not worthy of spending time here

I recently dined at Electric in Cork City Centre, and it was an outstanding experience. The ambiance was amazing, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The highlight of my visit was Jordan, the talented bartender, and his signature cocktail. It featured a unique blend of lemon curd and physalis (Groundcherry) flavors. The taste was unlike anything I've ever experienced – a delightful mix of sweet and tangy notes. If you visit Electric, ask for Jordan and his special lemon curd and physalis cocktail. You won't be disappointed. It's a unique and delightful addition to your dining experience.

I booked for Sunday at 8pm. I walked in and was told the kitchen was closed. Then it was suddenly open. The waiter walked off and never came back 2mins later, she was behind the bar, and we were told take a seat with no guidance where to sit. Disgraceful service. The Restaurant is expensive and looks very nice but after this experience, I would not recommend and avoid.

Bar food only - restaurant was closed on the day we visited. Staff were friendly and efficient. Place was clean and food was great. Inside was relatively quiet but outside seating was packed. 70f and sunny in Ireland everyone want outside.

Very Disappointed with the menu. Went on a Saturday night with a friend. Staff were lovely and friendly. But the menu isn't. Only had an option of a 5 course meal for €57.50 or a 2 course meal for €39. 2 courses for €39 is outrageous. And not much to choose from on the menu. A cocktail menu was handed to us on arrival that stated 2 for €20. But when I asked I was told this was only available at the bar. Then why give it to us in the restaurant. I got the crab to start. Was ok. Was literally like a small crab you find on the beach deep fried. And the steak as a main with chips. The chips state "twice cooked". They were nothing special. Very skinny and small portion size. Customers should have the option of only 1 main course if they so wish. Shouldn't be forced into a 2 course meal. All in all, very Disappointed. Will not be returning.

Lively atmosphere with Asian fusion style food. Food is pricey but is delicious and fancy atmosphere. Wheelchair accessible too with lifts in the building. Gorgeous view of the River Lee inside the restaurant and in the smoking area too.

This was an extremely deceiving dining experience. Firstly, I had reserved the Fish Bar a week in advance. This is a part of the restaurant which I had been to before with good food and worth a return visit. When we arrived, we realised that the Fish Bar was empty and we were seated in the main part of the restaurant which had an Asian Fusian menu. Having asked for the Fish Bar menu we were told that it wasn't available, despite specifically reserving same. Secondly, the menu did not have any prices listed next to the dishes, incredible as that may sound, it was true. Desserts were the only dishes priced, at €7 in the dinner menu. However, after dinner, when we asked for the dessert menu, all were priced at €8. Having questioned this, we were told that the desserts on the original dinner menu were no longer 'available', despite those being on both menus being practically identical. There seems to be a deliberate intent by management to deceive customers in this restaurant both in terms of price and dining experience, and it certainly does not have the returning customer in mind. I, for one will not be one of those. Terrible experience overall and an overwhelmingly cynical attitude.

Foods very good, and came out in good time, staff were fantastic and on the ball. Only problem is with the set course's, not way to order just a main have to get a least a starter aswell. Not a fan. Nice place but don't see myself going back there.

We ate in the bar downstairs which was such a great experience. Really cool music and lighting, friendly staff, and lovely food. The California roll is to die for! We’ll have to check out the restaurant upstairs next time we visit:)

The Asian fusion food is outstanding. We brought friends here on their first trip to Cork just for the food, it’s so so tasty. It’s all we spoke about the next day! Decor and staff have a cool vibe but there was a questionable dj the Saturday night we visited. Will be returning very soon
