Great spot in cork city, Steaks were top quality and both cooked exactly how we like them. The main course alone are 5/5 stars, very filling, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious however the dessert was a let down, the chocolate brownie was more of an undercooked chocolate cake with awful texture and drowned in sauce, the cheesecake special was plain and bland with a poor texture.. Overall main course 5/5.. Dessert 2/5.

A must visit while in Cork. The menu is full of specialties and the food is delicious and well presented. Steak is top along with all the starters available. Service is also great and they help you out choosing. Make sure to book in advance especially during weekends as its in the heart of Cork busy streets. For dessert make sure to try the cheese cake, it's best cheese cake in town!

Probably the best restaurant in town. Been here for the second time and will come back again and again. High quality food and lovely staff. Highly recommended.

We had a great culinary experience @Strasbourg Goose Restaurant today. Their 6Oz sirloin steak - which was the deal of the day for only 13,95€ - was perfectly cooked and very tasty. 😋 Chips, onions, mushrooms and pepper sauce also came with the very well seasoned meat and the combination of them together got us speechless due to the explotion of its flavors. 🥩🥰 As big lovers of a perfect steak, my partner and I are planning already our next visit to the restaurant and their very friendly staff! ☺️

Great restaurant in a cozy, living room like atmosphere. The owner sat and chatted with us for a few minutes as well and she was just lovely! Food was top notch and tasted great. Prices were very reasonable as well! I had a swordfish, my wife had the braised lamb shank, and my mother in law had the monk fish. All were delicious!

This was an interesting dining experience. Inside seating is quite minimal, and sort of feels like you are in someone’s home. I was not a huge fan of sitting very close to other tables, to the point of being able to hear other conversations. The vegetarian food options were pretty tasty though and they serve a fair Murphy’s and bottle of wine. The menu is a little strange and not sure I liked the fixed price aspect. Not sure how flexible they are with it, but basically had to order a main and either a app or dessert to go with it at a fixed price. I prefer more flexibility when choosing, but that’s just me.

A lovely little restaurant,in the heart of Cork, with a pleasant and calm atmosphere. Reserving would be a good option. The food was absolutely delicious, the Venison and the Lamb, and everything on the side. Simple but very well rounded dishes.

The fish cake and slow cooked pork are excellent. The slow cooked pork is essentially pulled pork but taste different than the usual pulled pork I had in US. The gravy added lots more flavors. Highly recommended! The portion is quite large.

On entering the Strasberg Goose Restaurant the atmosphere was nice and welcoming, staff very attentive and food smelt delicious. I ordered a starter which was Pate, very bland and my husbands garlic mushrooms with a garlic mayonaise was again very bland. We both ordered Irish sirloin steaks, one medium which was over cooked and very chewy, the other medium rare, again over cooked and chewy. The chips were lovely as was the pepper sauce, we were both very disapointed at this point but decided we would give desert ago, they did not disappoint. My husbands hot chocolate cake and ice cream was delicious (his words) I opted for fruit pavlova again this was delicious. One pointer I would give if eating here, do not sit where you can see the chef cooking unless you want a view of his backside, which was quite off putting. Maybe he should wear a belt!!

The starter was nice but the main course was awful. I had the honey baked salmon and the vegetables came cold and the garlic was so pungent. The meal did not sit well with me at all. I would not recommend.

I've travelled a lot and experienced a lot of local food in that time. We went to Strasbourg Goose last night for our first dinner in Cork and I have to say that if you go here you won't be disappointed. In fact, you will be longing to go back again! The service was five star from the staff. The Garlic mushrooms were great, but the liver pate was sublime. But the crowning glory of the meal was the Fillet Steak. Hands down the best steak I have ever eaten. Juicy, melted in your mouth, and was accompanied perfectly with Pepper sauce, sautéed mushrooms and onions with a side of chips. Proper chips none of that french fries rubbish. Every single mouthful was the same as the one before - superb. The restaurant itself is small, intimate, but cosy. But that's how this restaurant should be and the service provided is second to none. So if you are ever in Cork make sure to put this restaurant on your list of places to go. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent service and excellent food. Would come again. As a group we ordered three different mains, slow cooked beef, sirloin steak and haake and they were all amazing. Service really attentive and great to recommend and guide. Definitely will be coming again. Thank you!

Value menu was excellent, especially the steak, and the service was professional. Unfortunately, I was too stuffed to try the dessert. Will definitely go again.

"I came here for steak" were my opening words to the staff who greeted me. I was not disappointed with my top of the menu T-bone! Gosh it was so succulent! I hope we can pull together soon the realisation that cattle are vital for a healthy and nutritional diet before the Big Food monoculturalist agricultural system persuades us of their globalised plant based agenda.

I'm happy to say this restaurant is still as good as ever It's been a while, but the food and friendly staff were fantastic. Booking is recommended, as it's always busy here.

Really nice restaurant. 1st time here but i will defo come back. I had the chicken liver pâté for starter served with lovely bread and then the sirloin steak served with wedges and pepper sauce all accompanied with a glass of red wine. The ambiance is great, the decor kept to the traditional house.

Our experience couldn't be better. Both dishes were lovely. My pork was outstandingly delicious with some rich wine gravy sauce. The service was one of best that I've seen in City centre so far. Me and my partner strongly recommend it.

My wife and I were walking around the neighborhood (on vacation, from the US)and decided to give this place a try. I literally had the best lamb of my life and my wife’s dish was amazing as well. Our whole bill was around 50 euros. If this place were back home it would’ve cost $150 easily for a place attempting this quality. Amazing food! Service was great. I already want to bring friends back on another trip and try more of their options. Truly incredible value.

Nice chilled spot. Had the pulled pork focaccia and the slow cooked beef. Absolutely wonderful stuff.

I would visit this restaurant again, especially if it were within walking distance. The food was either really good or mediocre, depending on the selection. They offer either solo items on one menu or a "value" deal on another menu in which you get an appetizer and a main entree for a bit less € (more on food below). The atmosphere was comfortable: not eloquent, but not a pub either. Somewhere in the middle. The service was exceptional. Very hospitable. I felt like they went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we had a good dining experience. Our waiter offered recommendations and even brought out a special candlelit dessert to help us celebrate a birthday. As far as the food goes, it was kind of hot or miss, depending on what you ordered. The beef roast was wonderful. Cooked 14-hours and super tender! Yet, the filets were overcooked by one level (medium rare was medium, medium was medium well). They were tender, but nothing special. The mushrooms and onions that came with the steak were awesome, however, served in a little cast iron skillet, so it made the steak better. Nobody liked the fried potato croquet. The pavlova dessert was really good. The restaurant was located in a busy pedestrian area with lots of shops and activities. Parking wasn't easy to find, even on a Monday night.
