👍 Just a bridge but very well known in Cork. I still jump up and down every time I go over it and I got my kids to do the same this day. (Pictured) Only suspension bridge in Ireland. Lights up nicely at night. People often mention bridge, river, park, walk, Beautiful, Cork, views, shake, cork,

The most iconic bridge in Cork as it is the only suspended pedestrian bridge in Ireland. It was officially opened on Aprol 1927 and recently underwent a massive restoration and was removed for this project. I am a kayaker and I love love to kayak on the River Lee. I kayaked at the time it was removed and I have to say it felt like Cork was missing a vital organ. It was returned like new on spring of 2020 and its stunning. The views of the Lee and on both sides Sundays Well on one and the Mardyke and Fitzgeralds Park on the other side are picturesque to say the least.

The most interesting bridge in Cork has had a long needed facelift and is looking fabulous. Dont forget to walk to the centre and have a little bounce and fell the motion that gave the bridge is local name, The Shakey Bridge

It's a nice bridge, it doesn't shake a lot. Apparently it's a common suicide spot. The park next to it is beautiful

It is on way to City gaol from Fitzgerald park. We can feel the bridge is shaking when we go to centre of the bridge. We can enjoy the view of the river from there and feel cool breeze.

Spooky to think that I went on it, and a week later it's closed for repairs! Obviously, shaky. Obviously, a bridge. Does what it says on the tin.

Visited here at night to experience the bridge. It is fun to make the bridge shake in the middle but I’m informed it used to be much more shaky before it was recently reinforced.

Great refurbishment on the bridge and it still shakes. One of Corks landmarks, lovely views of the river Lee and mardyke. Well worth a visit. It's also lovely at night when it is illuminated.

Cool bridge offering lovely views along the river Lee, and accessible via Fitzgerald's park. Studied in Cork years ago but didn't know about this treasure. Glad I found it today

Such a beautiful spot. Had a great experience within the park and loved watching a heron fish for his tea whilst standing on the bridge.

Overated place, always rough people around. what to see on the bridge that shakes 🤔. This could be really enjoyable for little kids to see such a thing, nothing to see for adults.

I was very excited when I saw this bridge for the first time . I was on my way to cork Gaol. The bridge’s constructed in a very good way. It can shake while we walk on the bridge ( if you are heavy enough) but it’s not scary. Kids and dogs must be accompanied because there are gaps in the railings. The river looks scary so take care of your phone. One side is UCC ground and arena. Fitzgerald park is nearby. Good place for a walk. The other end of the bridge is a bit shady though.

The Shakey Bridge is one of the most iconic places in cork, it’s a lovely place to visit and the bridge actually shakes but its total safe, so do not worry. If you are visiting cork it’s a must visit. It’s amazing at night to because it’s all lit up.

Beautiful bridge. We decided to walk this way while getting over to the prison and it was totally worthwhile. Lovely views up the river.

Closed for reconstruction!! Building gates are high and closed. You all can walk in park only, even you can't take picture of this bridge. Park closes about 8pm, not 9pm

It's a bridge over a river. I walked across it. It did not fall down (shook a bit though), I stayed dry.

In the morning and evening, you have great light conditions. Sometimes fog over the river. In summer you see people jump from it into the river.
