A beautiful little woods, perfect for that short walk to blow the cobwebs away. Parking available in the lions club carpark just outside the entrance. Dog friendly and suitable for buggies although slightly hilly, you can stick to the concrete path or wander up the forest trail. Gorgeous views at most times of the year, especially so in Autumn with stunning colours, plants, mushrooms etc. I would recommend taking the forest trail if you can. Path is covered by CCTV cameras and street lighting so is safe even after dark. Worth a visit for a quick stroll. If you are in the Douglas area, give it a shot.

Like the community park, this area was a rough area when I was a kid living nearby with very low use by families or others. The new works have made this a great walking and cycling connection to the many estates and roads surrounding it. The information boards are insightful and helpful. Wide paths, lighting in the evenings and CCTV make this a lovely and short, yet safe walk through the Mangala. Only thing missing is some benches, but given what it used to be before that is a very minor complaint.

Beautiful place to go for a walk, to cycle and to walk your dog. This place is full of daisies🌼. It's a very quiet place with a clean environment. There's also a beautiful small stream of water in this place.

Lovely pathways through the wood. You can walk down to the stream and over little bridges. Pay parking available very reasonable €1 an hour or €3 for 24 hours. Will return

I used to live in Cork, the amount of times I’ve walked my dog here is uncountable. Truly is one of my most favourite walks! Also if you want to enjoy it more, take the bridge across and then turn right, it takes you the same way and you get the view from a higher perspective!

Pretty nice walk! A little bit short, but nice and close to Douglas and the city.

If coming from Douglas Park side ( note there is a steep rise in the first 250 metres) otherwise it is an ideal walk, peaceful so close to the village.

Always had good and lovely memories going to the Mangala. It was lovely to see boards with information up. Pity to see some of the paths littered with rubbish and cans. Hope this area can be cleaned up so each person can enjoy one of Douglas' last nature woods.

Great area near Douglas Park.It can get damp in the winter due to it being in a valley.Lit up at night which is a plus. Litter can be an issue off the main routes.Fair bit of wildlife there too but can get busy.
