Historic
townhouse,
right
in
heart
of
the
city.
This
establishment
is
reminiscent
of
a
bygone
era
of
good
old-fashioned
hospitality.
The
manager,
Kathleen
is
a
gracious
host.
We
received
a
warm
welcome
on
arrival.
Our
room,
on
the
lower
floor,
was
immaculately
clean
and
comfortable
with
a
beautiful
new
bathroom.
We
were
able
to
order
aperitif
drinks
in
the
evening
to
have
in
the
magnificent
garden,
overlooking
the
lights
of
the
city.
We
enjoyed
the
local
restaurants
/quaint
pubs
around,
and
touring
the
city
on
foot
-
we
loved
the
Victorian
quarter
and
the
English
market.
The
breakfast
was
superb
-
top
quality.
The
staff
took
a
genuine
interest
in
their
guests,
which
made
it
a
memorable
stay
for
us.
We
had
some
great
chats
with
staff
and
guests
alike.
We
met
a
family
who
had
travelled
from
France
to
see
where
the
legend
guitarist,
Rory
Gallagher
grew
up
-
just
around
corner
in
McCurtain
Street
!
The
gardener
even
gave
us
a
tour
of
the
garden
-
very
unique
in
the
city.
Thank
you
to
all
the
management
&
staff
for
making
Cork
the
highlight
of
our
trip
around
Ireland.
We
hope
to
be
back
soon.
