My dog went through 2 surgeries in the clinic and they were getting her ready for the 3rd one on her leg. I kept asking if its not cancer, because my dog was in so much pain and every time they assured me it's not. I was taking my dog to hydrotherapy sessions every week for a year in the clinic(I was advised to).Everything cost us nearly €6000. Then Shane Guearan went on holiday and another doctor sent us to ct scan in sunbeam clinic. They found that my dog had spine cancer which was spread out everywhere. Basically my dog Terri was dying and she had cancer from day 1 we visited the clinic. We put Terry to sleep few days later.

First visit with our 2 British Blue Short Hair babies. Pat took care of them and he had a lovely gentle manner with them, a very knowledgeable experienced vet - I learned loads 😁 Staff are lovely and the premises is professional & clean. Delighted overall 😁 babies are sleeping off their shots 🤗

Caring, multidisciplinary team have been available, efficient, with excellent communication and service. Gilabbey’s team helped us through our dog’s multiple traumas and chronic illness, with specialist care as needed (endocrinologists, ophthalmologist, surgeon, physio, even MRI and ultrasound). Our amazing old dog is doing great now.

I decided to place my 4 animals in this veterinarian clinic, first time appointment the vet came outside and took my animal off me while he knew absolutely nothing about the animal and when i received my animal back said nothing, I had to ask was her weight okay and was everything else okay as my pet was only 4 months old. No good communication between the vet and I. Thinking it wouldn’t be massively expensive my bill was huge and all my animal got was her second vaccination, I later called to question the price charged and they told me the vet would of asked if you wanted the “higher class” vaccine unsure of name which I was never informed about or asked the vet just decided to do it himself. There was no need for this. Owning four animals one being a Great Dane It’s insane to be spending that much money for such small things. It’s all about profit and money, no communication and then huge bills afterwards. I was really unhappy with my experience here. The clinic is still closed for customers due to covid which is ridiculous also, so they just take the pet, do what they want and hand it back with no real insight or information. I will not be returning to the hospital it’s just not worth it for the price you pay. Profit profit

Money Grabbers! Not willing to sell a worm tablet for a dog that isnt under their care. Ridiculous! 2 seconds later went into a pharmacy and bought one over the counter. No concern shown what so ever for the health of the animal.

My dog went for tplo surgery and they were fantastic from start to finish , went zena and with after advice and only a phone call away if I needed advice , she is due her xrays in a few weeks and I know she is In safe hands with gilabbey

Absolutely superb staff, very patient and understanding, exceptionally caring for our cat despite the late night call! Cannot recommend enough, should be used as an example for all pet vets.

First time at a vet with Maggie my dog and donal the vet couldn't have been nicer,I thought she would be shaking but no,he put me and her at ease and now she's all good again ,girls on desk real friendly and lovely atmosphere 😊

Outstanding practice. Our family have been going here since we were children and have always treated our pets with respect and care. Recently both my dogs have been spayed and their surgeries and recovery went amazingly and we have the great team at gilabbey to thank. Especially Pat and Tom who looked after both girls operations and reproductive problems in Daphne. Our bigger dog Shadow regularly gives blood as part of the super hero's and we are so happy to help such a great cause for any emergencies that may happen. The team always look after her when she goes down and she loves to stay there because she knows she's going to get alot of rubs and treats.

Girls were very quick and polite. We did have to pay 106 for the visit, but at least weren't forced to do any tests that were unnecessary. Highly recommend

Fantastic service got my pugs nose operated on a few mounts back fantastic he no longer snores lol but can breath so well been hear loads of times fantastic staff from reception staff up I see a lot of reviews on price you get what you pay for they have the best of vets and surgeons and the night vet is great is €50 more after house a small price for peace of mind the nose operation was close to €3000 thankfully I was insured and they helped me trough the hole lot claim etc and the operation was a 100 percent success they told me it will only inprove 50 percent but he no longer snores lol and he’s a happy pug and his breathing is excellent would recommend to all

Attended last night with a puppy that eat a battery. Met by a very empathic & professional Vet named Sinead. I couldn't recommend highly enough. 7 stars

They gave my little Maisie a second chance of life. 2 weeks ago things were looking grave for her. But with the fantastic work of Shane and All his team I will be bringing her home. Everybody in Gilabbey has shown such care and love to her, and empathy to me. I will be forever be in their debt. Thank you to Everybody. XX

The staff were excellent, but the price was over the top. I had no problem paying the 120 for out of hours (4pm today) but to pay an extra €380 to get my dog put down and cremated was extremely expensive. My normal vet was closed (Gould's in mahon), which was only €180 to have the dog put down and cremated. So, I was surprised that this was costing over €200 more for the same size and breed of dog. Total cost €502 in comparison to 180 I paid a few weeks early in Goulds.

A couple of months ago, I was recommended Gilabbey Veterinary to groom two severely matted cats which had come into my care (Fluff + Liath). These cats were not used to being handled, so not the easiest of patients to groom. Staff were so kind and reassuring and the lovely Bron and Flora looked after them on the day. Since then I have moved all of my animals to Gilabbey Veterinary. A second thanks to Flora, alongside Niamh who were ever so kind last week when I made the tough decision to put down my 9 year old rabbit. From the moment I walked through the door I could sense the friendly environment and felt welcome by all staff. Staff were so empathetic and patient (several cups of tea offered) and not once did I feel rushed. I spent over an hour saying goodbye to my rabbit and staff were so caring and gave us privacy for our last few moments. 10/10 for kindness and professionalism.

This is Ramsey, he wouldnt be with us now if it wasnt for Shane and his wonderful staff and poor Niamh whom endured my daily phone calls!! He was hit by a car and suffered awful injuries. But as you can see how far hes come from the day we brought him home. We didnt think he would be celebrating his 11th birthday this month but thanks to Gilabbey he will and hopefully lots more too!! Cant recommend this Practice enough. 10 stars if I could.
