We checked out without staying the night - absolutely do not recommend. The bed felt smaller than a normal double, and the mattress was knackered. The Chromecast didn't work. The bathroom lock was sticky so difficult to get out. The only way to cool the room is to open the window, but there are roadworks going on immediately outside the hotel. Sound proofing between the rooms/hallway is very poor. Even though the window was open when we got in the room, and we then pulled the blind down, the room was hot and getting hotter as the sun hit the hotel. All in all there didn't seem to be any chance of getting any sleep, so we checked out after an hour and paid for another hotel. The receptionist didn't seem surprised. The REZz seems very poor value for money compared to other micro hotels I've stayed at. The room was way smaller than elsewhere, and lacked any smart or thoughtful design touches - there really is nowhere to put your belongings apart from the floor. The room's grey carpet, grey walls, and grey ceiling are also just depressing.

If you are looking for a place to just sleep, this is your spot. Was in Cork for one night for a gig so I knew all I needed was a place to put my bag, shower and sleep. I got the Teeny-Tiny room. Loved it. It’s small and cute, does the job. Would however suggest putting in some water bottles. Got a bit warm but opening the window meant noise from outside. No biggie. Still loved it. Close to the train and bus stations so that’s a plus! Very safe. Very clean. Awesome staff. Good food.

Rooms very small, Arrived to find long and small hairs in the bed. Got a new room to find bed not made, carpet very dirty. 1 pair of electrical sockets in the corner over the bed. So bring an extension lead. For 150euro per night only book here if you are really stuck. They have a sign on the wall to say walk in your bare feet, not here, carpet is filthy. Only after I booked I found the isaacs Cork hotel next door offer 80euro per night for a single person per night. Clean and a lot cheaper.

Cozy and very clean rooms. Their staff are great ! They have their own bar as well with DJs and live music on the weekends which is very convenient. Very central so expect to be noisy. Earplugs are available at anytime in reception. Hotel is perfect somebody that wants to be in the town for 1 or 2 nights. Highly recommend ! (:

Stayed here for the one night, and I have to say, I've never stayed in such a small room. The bed only just fit in and the only way to get in or out was via the foot of the bed. No space to open a bag or unpack. No glasses for water. No fan for the heat. Bed was comfy. We missed breakfast. Not sure if I would go back - it felt more like a private hostel room than a hotel room.

When we say compact accommodation, this was pretty compact. Clean, no rubbish, and a big TV which works on WiFi and is a bit annoying. All in all its the best you can get for 1 night stays. And and out is what's behind the concept of it I would say.
1 person found this review helpful 👍

  • 4/5 Danielle D. 1 year ago on Google
Yes it's small but the compactness is not a big deal for short stays. There was space to unpack items and storage for case under the bed. The bed was right up by the window but you can tell that from the photos on their site. The shower was rainfall which was nice but the shower head needed cleaning as some jets where blocked. The door to the bathroom was very loud on closing. As a plus size women the toilet was very close to the wall but over all the bathroom was grand. Over all it could be cheaper but if you want something for a few nights our or even just a night to go to a gig it's perfect. The staff where nice and friendly, over all it was a clean hotel and we would most likely stay again. Small but works well. Prices are nearly similar to other hotels which will be bigger but I guess that depends on when you book.

Staff at reception were really nice. Location is excellent. The standard of the room was surprisingly poor however. The fixtures and furnishing are of very low quality and are fairly heavily worn looking already for a hotel barely open 12 months. Carpet stained in the room and there is a bad smell as soon as you enter the building which is probably the result of poor ventilation. TV reception was bad, all the channels were stuttering so impossible to watch. The walls are paper thin you can hear conversations from the surrounding rooms. At €169 for a Wednesday night stay it is very overpriced for what it offers and feels more like a hostel or dorm experience than anything else. It isn't comparable at all to other budget "pod" style hotels such as Premier Inn Hub.

Really nice staff, comfortable beds, clean room and amazing Shower! I had the teeny tiny room on a thursday night and it wasn't loud at all. There is a storage place right underneath the bed where you can store your luggage and a big TV. In my opinion, a room where you don't spend your day, only your nights does not need anymore space. For the price it is very amazing!! (I can not at all understand people comparing it to a hostel room - sure, the staff is young and they give off hostel vibes as in providing a stimulating and comfortable space where you can meet people, but the room felt very luxurious to me compared to a hostel room).

Spring mattress really really bad. Little to no sound proofing between rooms and outside. No consideration re noise, eg talking loud, tv loud, door banging, from other guests. Fire doors in halls bang so loudly. Don't take cash at all in bar. Big shower head great but not suitable for the small shower, not unless you want to wash your hair. And tv reception dodgy, keeps breaking up, some channels too hard to watch at all.

Before going here, I looked up the reviews and everything I saw was full of negativity....they must have got confused with another Hotel. Arriving at the hotel i was greated with the receptionist who was very polite and helpful. I went to my room which was clean, spacious and I had a great view of the city. The TV was a 50 inch I believe and had a good few channels aswell. I also had a nice double bed and a nice shower. The bar staff were also very friendly and the bar had a nice smoking area and a few retro arcade game machines. The hotel is located in the city so expect some noise from nearby pubs but we stayed on a Friday night and it wasn't as noisy as over reviews stated. I had a good sleep. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely be staying there again 😀

When you stay at the Rezz you stay for two reasons: sleep and shower. The rooms are tiny. You are not here to work or chill. Get in, get out. The bed is against the window (mine was) and you can store your luggage under it. There is a coat rack, mirror, and tv, too. Breakfast is offered, as of now, for €7.50. What they don’t advertise on the website is several common areas with a washer, dryer, coffee machine, sink, small refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric kettle. You can make yourself tea in the morning and store something for later. Right in the heart of Cork, this place is fantastic for the bare minimum. If I could, I’d add a microwave in the common area. Really, that’s a small concern for such a good deal.

Stayed for 3 nights. The chrome cast on the tv was broken & the receptionist assured us someone would fix it by the morning but nobody ever did. The walls are paper thin & the guests on either side of us were crazy loud all night every night. Considering the price of the tiny rooms I thought it was ridiculous breakfast wasn’t included. Despite the great views from our room & excellent location, we just weren’t comfortable here & the supposed “power shower” had zero pressure. Won’t be staying again

    1. Staff smoking in the bar downstairs in a side room off the bar not even with door closed. Terrible first impression! 2. Completely overpriced at €165 per night on a weekday for an over glorified hostel. 3. Rooms tiny 4. Rooms not probably clean, dust around the skirting boards on the carpet. 5. Walls stained 6. Bathroom is nicer than the room (that's saying a lot) 7. Smells of fried food in the room 8. Access to stairs at ground floor closed to guests. 9. Breakfast starts at 8am, too late for people working and it wasn't even included in the price 10. It's like student accommodation and basically insulting to a person when spending €165 for a night 11. No available parking and no parking discounts or deals. 12. Bed half made. 13. Not even a bleeding hairdryer! 14. Bed side lamps broken in room 512. 15. A fine example of Rip off republic 16. Never again!!

I have posted the picture of the dryer because you need to make sure that the condenser is empty. Of water. Otherwise your clothes will not get dry. This is a fun young person's type of hotel. It's very small and quirky and the staff is lovely

The Rezz is very bare-boned. The size of the room is so small you can only open up one suitcase. Our mattress had multiple urine stains on it. The windowsill had fingernail clippings, and used gum sitting on it. Our toilet has leftover feces- clearly not cleaned. The shower is so small you cannot bend over to wash off your legs. The bed has one sheet lightly draped over it that easily comes off while sleeping so your skin has to lay on the urine stained mattress. For the price- you can get a better deal/ stay elsewhere. However, the staff are helpful and kind. With that being said, I would not return. Really only ideal for a quick one-night stay.

Had this hotel cost less, it would get 5 stars as it is exactly as advertised. The rooms are very small, although they are advertised as such. The problem lies in the fact that prices are only marginally less than other spots in town, for a room that is more than marginally smaller. The location was very central though and the room was equipped with a large window with a view. As others have mentioned, the good location can lead to trouble sleeping for those who are noise sensitive due to the pubs below. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable but did feel clean. The bathroom felt very tight as tall person. Finally, the industrial vibe in the entrance and hallways was odd and not particularly welcoming or homey but others may enjoy that type of vibe. Overall if price is your primary motivation this is your spot, otherwise spend a little more to get a lot more elsewhere.

Great location and staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were really small, which we were expecting having read the reviews, but we were still surprised by the size! It was very hot in the room and there was no fan available. TV didn't work. The room smelled of whatever was cooking on the ground floor. Coffee in the kitchen was stale, although nice to have some kitchen facilities. Room was clean.

I found the staff very nice and helpful, however I had a generator from a work site start at 6:58 in the morning on a Saturday literally feet away from my bed. This continued for hours and made sleep impossible. Even with out the construction, which I understand is a temporary thing, the rooms were small and clean, but HORRIFICALLY hot. And really not worth the 160 euro I paid. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL, IT IS A HOSTEL WITH A PAINT JOB.

We stayed here for a couple of days and were surprised, when we saw the room. A positive point was the window, because you had a great view over the city right from the bed. But that is pretty much everything good we can describe. It was very noisy and you could hear every single word from outside the room. The bathroom was also very tiny and the floor was plastic, so you had the feeling of being on a porta-potty.

I stayed for a night after a gig in Cork and it was a nice experience. The room is small but comfy and had everything I needed (space for luggage under bed, good heater, clean towels and bed sheets, very good shower). I loved the staff, they were pretty helpful when I arrived late night and needed to heat up my food. Also gave me loads of instructions about the city. I would say its a bit pricy but definetely would stay there again.

Overall it was an amazing stay and was very enjoyable. The bar was incredible and the staff were amazing and very helpful and accommodating. Although the rooms were very small and the bathroom was minuscule, if u are over 6ft u will have difficulty using the toilet facilities. The price of the hotel is not worth it as u could get a bigger room/bathroom for what you’d pay here. I would 100% stay here again as it was overall a very welcoming place.

Staff were friendly and helpful and when you step out the door you’re right in cork city which is so handy. I gave it three stars because my room wasn’t that clean, the walls looked kinda dirty and the floor obviously hadn’t been vacuumed. Also, its main selling point is how cheap it is and I paid 200 euro a night, could’ve gotten a good spacious hotel room for the same price, even slightly cheaper. I got the “just right” room which is meant to be the biggest but it was still super tiny. I knew booking it that the rooms were small but that’s why I got what I thought was the larger one, wouldn’t have liked to seen the smaller rooms haha. Their cocktails are fab though.

Price was way too high for the room. Walls were dirty and TV wasn't working (tbf I was told about this at check in but it was never fixed). Bed was fine, nothing special. Nothing in the room like a hairdryer and that type of thing. It's fine for a bed and shower but that's it.

I have to say I found REZz hotel in cork Very disappointing. So I travelled to cork as a solo traveler to follow my local rugby team as I have done many times, but this was my first time in cork. I try and book accommodation at a reasonable price and good location and I have to say REZz location is fantastic, only a 5 min walk to the town centre and all the bars and restaurants. What was disappointing was the room. Now I read the write up on the hotel and knew the rooms were small so I decided to upgrade from a teeny tiny room to a just right room which was a bit bigger and looking at the photos on line looked very nice, however when I booked in I had a shock. The room was bigger, but was dark and dingy. No wardrobe space, one small window (which overlooked a residential block of flats, which meant I had to close the blinds if I showered or changed). No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, if I wanted a tea or coffee I had to go to a kitchen on a different floor to make it and bring it back to the room. The room did have a lovely bathroom with a fantastic shower, and the bed was very comfortable, two saving Grace's. I'm not saying I would not use this hotel again, what I am saying is I wouldn't pay the extra for the bigger room, it's just not worth it.

Really recommended to staying. Comfortable rooms (they are small, but for the price its pretty good), nice bar, best location and really good service. In the rooms you have everything you need, bathroom (where you'll have shampoo, soap and shower gel), nice bed for 2, closet, lamp and TV. In our room (because it was a corner room, and its bigger that a normal one) we even had a chair!:) Really good hotel, really recommended if you don't want to spent many money just for a hotel.

We stayed overnight last week. Great location. I met 3-4 staffs and all of them are friendly. Room is small but that was already expected since i read reviews first before i booked. Room & toilet were clean and we liked it. We are on the 6th floor and we just loved the view, the bed is right beside the window with overviewing of the city, river and st. Finn's cathedral. There was ongoing road construction, but the noise has nothing to do with the hotel. They have communal kitchen with microwave, fridge, tea/coffee maker. When we checked out they still allowed us to keep our things in the reception which we really appreciated. I was scared to book at this hotel because of the bad reviews, but this was only the cheapest hotel and accessible to everything but despite of having bad reviews we still loved our stay and we had a good time. Will surely recommend it to others. Oh only the bad thing is that the lift was not working that day 😭😭

Excellent location, very friendly staff . Rooms are quite small but if you're planning just to have a sleep and a bath in the hotel and be on the go all day ,it's not a problem. I also liked the fact that you can do your own laundry and also use a dryer.

  • 4/5 John K. 2 years ago on Google
Rooms are modern and big TV, but TV stations don't work. Service was good. Location is close to city centre. But you have to pay for your own parking when you stay at this hotel. 8.50 euro for 24 hours at the train station. Hotel needs to be pre-booked online.

Very good room. The bathroom and shower was excellent. The bed was clean and tidy, mattress was basic. Great TV system. Good breakfast options in the bar downstairs the staff very very helpful

Small, inexpensive rooms, very clean and right in the centre of the city. Nice bar. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room but otherwise good. Would stay again.

Nice rooms clean .small but clean .I'm a builder .and I like the pods that where installed. Staff lovely people. Communal areas where out of order due to refurbishment. But other than that I would recommend and stay here again. They done everything they could to accommodate me and I really appreciate that.

If you ever wanted the experience of sharing a big caravan with someone. Please come on down to the Rezz🤦‍♂️ Please read the other reviews before you book here, would be my best advice. There is no room service or food. Each room is a small box room where 70% of the room is taken up by the walls of the toilet/shower. You can’t walk around the bed, and can hear people making love and talking all around you with its thin walls. I could hear one of my neighbours clearly 3 doors down from my room - rant with the staff about his new room smelling of smoke. The staff are nice to be fair. I was going to say this place is very similar to a hostel in the design. But that would be giving hostels a bad name. This not-so hotel does have a good location and a smart TV which justifies a bargain €149 per night though 😒😠 Honestly - book an actual hotel for close to the same price elsewhere.

Lovely bar and cocktails, convenient location, cute rooms. However, the heater in the room was on all night and we couldn't find an off switch, and when we opened the window it was freezing and very loud

  • 1/5 Kevin R. 2 years ago on Google
The price was an absolute rip-off; 15% cheaper on booking, the same day, 50% less when I made the reservation. The room smelled like a deep fryer, really bad bed, dirty towels (with blood!!!), dirty mattress. The receptionist was friendly and the location ok, but I can't give more than 1 star anyway. My personal tipp: Just skip Cork and go to any other, way more beautiful city or village in Ireland.

  • 1/5 Thomas G. L. 1 year ago on Google
Not even a table in the room, what they provide: a bed, power socket, shower room, toilet and toilet paper, a body wash, a conditioner, two towels and that's all. For €155 a night including VAT, that's a rip off, you better getting Air B&B instead. The room also noisy in the morning so you should get earplugs before coming. At the ground floor I see smoke and senor fault light keep blinking and obviously no one care, that makes me worry about the safety of this hotel. Please check my previous review about white rabbit restaurant which is next door, that's a good place to get a nice meal!

Great location, lovely welcoming local staff. Very quiet nights sleep. Great selection in the bar. Big bed, massive TV, nice view of street below. Price was a bit steep for what is more of an upmarket hostel than a hotel.

  • 3/5 Maria J. 1 year ago on Google
Location is great, close to many fab bars and restaurants. Single room was sufficient for one person but mattress is appalling quality and so feels like you are sleeping on a hard board. I didn’t have a good nights sleep due to this.

  • 4/5 Dennis R. 2 years ago on Google
For city lovers that can handle noise, it’s an affordable, good located place to stay. I like this little “cabins”. The windows are not insulated (dammed) at all, you can hear the road and the other guests. The staff is very friendly, some administration mistakes.. can happen. It is clean and you have a great view in some of the rooms. For me to loud.

  • 4/5 Nicola M. 1 year ago on Google
Really modern feel, clean and a great central location so perfect if u just want a bed and shower for the night. Rooms are on the small side so not for the claustrophobic 😉 rooms were a little warm but nothing opening the window didn't fix. Lovely bar with good vibes

  • 5/5 Samy B. 1 year ago on Google
I spent last weekend there with my fiancee while we were visiting Cork. Simply put: it is the perfect spot for travellers, located 10 mins walk from Kent Station, the staff is super friendly, check-in and checkout take 30 secs max. It is a very secure facility. The room was tidy clean, towels and soap were available in the shower. ( the TV in the room is a pretty nice addition) My fiancee and I only use hotels as a place to sleep after a day of exploring. Definitely the best choice if you are like us, however if you are more use to linger a bit or to big hotels room, and use hotel facilities such as pool etc it would not be for you. Definitely will book again if we come back to Cork.

An excellent location very close to restaurants, supermarkets and train station, the room was very small but sufficient because in my case I did not need more space to have an excellent rest, the bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean, the bathroom had an excellent hot shower. The place was very quiet which allowed me to had a good rest, the hotel has a bar with excellent prices to have a few drinks and enjoy the arcade game machines.

Rooms are clean and bed comfortable. Frankly though so small they are claustrophobic. Shower so small you have to get out to turn round. Nice idea but v expensive for what you get. Location great and staff very helpful and responsive indeed

Liked · The bar area on the bottom level was really cool, and the building itself is incredibly walkable to many things, including the train/bus (this helped with saving money on cabs). Also, being able to do a small amount of laundry during our stay was incredibly helpful. Disliked · The room we had for our stay was a bit small for 2 people to stay in. With each of us having larger suitcases, we had to take turns opening up them up and pulling things out. One person had to stay on the bed while the other person packed/unpacked.

Rooms are very small, 140€ per night isn't worth it. The woman at reception was lovely. Security guard was very rude. Rooms were very cold. My quilt and sheet were just sitting on the bed so I had to make it myself. Lovely shower though.

  • 2/5 patrick S. 1 year ago on Google
Good price, staff was friendly, bar downstairs, great location. 2 stars because they don’t use any protective sheets for the beds (which are not comfortable). They use a single sheet that came off instantly to expose some gnarly stains. It makes me question the cleaning methods for the blankets and pillows.
