👍👍 This is a really cozy and warm place to stay. I hate the cold weather this time of year but the rooms are always so nice and toasty. The staff are so friendly and kind. They do their best to make you feel at home. People often mention staff, stay, great, train, room, pint, good, lovely, nice,

My friends and I had a great stay at the Station View tavern. We booked through their website to get a slight discount. The hotel is perfectly located, right opposite the train station and a short walk away from the city centre. The owner was very nice and gave us lots of tips on where to visit. One morning we got take out breakfast from the Lab 82, which is just next door, their cakes are delicious. Our room was very clean and spacious. It had just been redecorated and was bright and modern. I'd definitely stay here again! 🙂

i booked a room here for dates in august "18, a full month in advance....... the day before my arrival, they phoned me saying that they had sold my room on [ to a higher bidder] .........no apologies , nothing.at all!.... Please be extremely careful if you decide to book here, lest you find youself, like me, without the accommodation you thought you had secured!.....

This is a small place with a short bar and a pool table in the back and a TV. Good for a pint or other adult beverage when waiting for the train (they do have a full bar). You can see the train station from the front windows. It is quite small, but pints were served and all is good. I did not notice food, but we didn’t ask for a menu. There were only about 5 people in the place when we went in. Had a pint, watched part of a game show and moved back to the station.

Unwelcoming atmosphere, I missed my train so came in for a cup of tea (was a bit early in the day for anything else) while I waited for the next one and had to listen to the regulars openly laughing at me for ordering tea. I just paid and left without waiting for it. Seems like an ok pub otherwise, but only for regulars.

Stayed for Cork Jazz Festival and had a wonderful stay. The room was better than expected, bed was comfortable, room was always warm, shower was great and we both had a excellent night's sleep every night. Location couldn't be handier as it's right across the road from the train station. We would stay here again next year.

As the name suggests, the tavern is located in an ideal spot if you want a pint while waiting for your delayed train. It is an unpretentious typical bar with no airs and graces, but offers a warm welcome with good service and a decent selection of refreshments.
