Loving this place. Thank you to Malana for being awesome and taking good care of us.. will definitely be back! Derik(manager) needs to stop being so negative he gets 0 stars.

Good seafood, however, nothing stood out as "the best I have tasted". First and foremost the service and staff were simply amazing, as they accommodated our conditions and met every request needed during our time at the establishment. The food was on par with most, if not all restaurants within the surrounding areas. I must sat the prices were reasonable, however, a bit higher than the normal seafood experience. My recommendations would have to be the following: - Crab/Artichoke Dip - Swordfish - Fish and Chips

A must-see lunch spot on the island. It’s busy, but they handle the crowd well. We had the clam chowder (of course) and the fish and chips. Both were delicious and more than enough food to share. The service was on point and the prices were fair. I’m probably going to get a key lime pie. Yeah. I think I will.

It's quite a lovely place to stop in for a bite, sunshine or on a cloudy day. Crab dip was hot but could not taste too much of the crab. Steak and Maui Maui were delicious. Staff were very attentive and polite. Nice job. Parking was easy to navigate. We would definitely go back and bring family and friends!!!!!!

Food was 10/10. Service was 6/10. The hostesses were super friendly & helpful when we wanted to switch to an indoor table instead of being outdoors. It was chilly & they have heaters overhead, but it didn’t seem to do much with the wind that night. We sat for 15 min with just waters alone. Finally we ordered drinks & apps, & our apps came out another 15 min before we even received our cocktails (2 martinis & a margarita- pretty basic). They seemed to be understaffed & our waitress seemed new/ was usually nowhere to be found. On the plus side, all of the food was truly delicious. The dip, the oysters, the mussels, the GIANT lobster tail, the salmon…. YUM! But for their high prices, fancy atmosphere, yummy food, & great reputation, the service should be much higher quality too.

So, I had dreams about the clam chowder and sourdough bread it was so good! We went back the next night so I could get more clam chowder and sourdough bread! The first night I had the scallops which were cooked perfectly. The second night, the mussels with chorizo. The burgers are huge and the staff is fantastic. Nick was our server both nights. He gave great wine suggestions and made our visit spectacular. This is a must visit place while in Coronado.

Located at the beautiful Coronado island with the perfect view and friendly staff. Food was amazing and so fresh. Ahi tuna with coconut rice is highly recommended. Don’t forget to try England clam chowder 🤩

The food was good. The bread for the table was amazing. Crab cakes could have had more of a crust and could have been hot, barely was warm. The muscles very tender and flavorful. The orange and walnut crusted halibut meaty but lacked flavor and overall the plate needed salt. Ordered bread pudding and it was not bread pudding. It was like French toast that was dry did not like it! Waitress NEVER refilled our drinks. Not so attentive.

Party of 4 with reservations. We got there early and they seated us right away. Old fashion, wedge salad, halibut were amazing. Kiddos fried fish was perfect. Large portions. Great flavor. Easily repeatable.

The food was super good. Clean restaurant and we had wonderful service from Marco’s. We felt very welcomed. (We did go when it was slower, 5pm). We got the spicy ahi tuna and that was awesome and the green beans are amazing! We also got the swordfish and prepared how the halibut is. Honestly, the walnut crust is the only thing I didn’t like. It didn’t have much flavor. But the clam chowder was good. the goat cheese grits were super yummy and the sourdough bread was outstanding!! Next time we are in town we will be back. I do think the prices could be a little lower.

Went on a weekend evening to celebrate a birthday. I called a week in advance to make a reservation. The staff was very accommodating when I had to update the amount of people from 11 to 9 day of. Everybody enjoyed their food, my friend really liked the clam chowder. They serve bread with butter before the meal, and it was really good. I got the Pan Seared Salmon, Norway fish and it was really good. Staff was attentive and accommodating.

Excellent seafood restaurant with a great location on the water in Coronado! We sat outside on the dog friendly patio and there is a great view of the water and boats. We ordered the Miso Black Cod, walnut crusted halibut, and the New England and Manhattan clam chowders and loved all of it. They even have dog treats for you if you have a dog. Friendly and quick service. Definitely recommend for delicious seafood!

This is our new favorite place! Our server was incredibly sweet and friendly! The food and drinks were amazing, while there we were already talking about when we were going to come back. We love the history of the building and that it's near one of our favorite beaches and places in San Diego. As a native to San Diego we are so glad we found this place!

We wanted to finish our San Diego trip with a bang having some of the best seafood the city had to offer. Since we were in the area, it showed us this beautiful place. We ordered their sword fish and salmon. While salmon was good the sword fish didn’t have any salt added to it. We couldn’t enjoy our meal and still had to eat as we didn’t want to waste the expensive meal. The inconsistency between reviews and my experience has made my whole experience towards this place sour. Service was excellent though. Waitress was pleasant and helpful. Though she couldn’t do anything about the swordfish.

Had my birthday dinner here and it was nothing but spectacular! The staff was amazing and so friendly! The food was delicious, their fish was impeccably cooked. We were seated in a beautiful area with nice view of boats. Would definitely come here again.

Stopped in for some appetizers and drinks. Our server was great and very attentive. We enjoyed the water views while we ate. Food was fresh and delicious!

Really delicious food, the place is in the perfect location, and the waitstaff are awesome! We had the crab cakes, mussels and chorizo, and crab and artichoke dip for appetizers, then for entrees we had the lobster tails, calamari steak, and the pan seared scallops.

It's a nice place. The food is good but unfortunately the service was not great. Super slow and they never checked on us. The clams were very good!

Great spot to grab a bite to eat! Location was great right next to the water. Indoor and heated outdoor seating. Family friendly and very fast service. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented well. Definitely a spot to return to!

Wonderful dinner spot for the fam! It has ample seating and is two floors. Food: everything was so good! For appetizers, we ordered the steamed clams and fresh oysters! Alllll so good. The broth in the clams was a garlic white wine, and so good. I ordered the swordfish entree and it was good but a little dry. It balanced out with the tomato sauce. They have a full bar and can make pretty much any drink! Plus they had fun drinks on the menu too! Some seasonal drinks because it was the holidays.

Very very polite, outgoing, and professional staff. It was an amazing sunny day for sitting outside by the boats and having a seafood brunch. The swordfish was not, in my opinion, all it was hyped up to be, however I did have to have the garnish on top removed and the rice substituted for allergen purposes. It was still very good. Their crab/artichoke dip appetizer and in house made tartar sauce are both absolutely to die for.

Service and location were a 5 star, but the food just wasn't perfect. It was good, but nothing special. Our server was amazing and the patio was so relaxing with views of all the boats. Best part was the mud pie dessert.

Bluewater Boathouse Seafood and Grill has amazing food. The clam chowder was the best I have ever tasted. But honestly all the food was great. The seafood was very fresh. I would say it’s on the higher end price. The staff was very friendly. Your food came out hot and fresh but it took some time. I highly recommend if your in the area. With Covid you do have to wear a mask when eating here.
