Beautiful, clean beach for families, picnics, and sunbathing! We parked off Loma (free unlimited-hour street parking) and walked over within a few minutes. We sat to the left of the little dip in the sand (closer to the hotel) and found there to be far fewer people, though we would’ve had plenty of space regardless - the beach is huge (wide and long!). There is a free public restroom/bathroom directly behind the lifeguard tower. If you’re on a sand dollar hunt, I found two that were fully intact! Great beach, highly recommend.

End of June, water is 10-15 degrees warmer than Santa Cruz Ocean. Great place to relax and watch the many different types planes land or cruise. No kites allow due to planes. 50 feet from shore and my 48" kid, water is still to his waste. Meaning ita shallow and he non stop boogie boarding. Outdoor shower next to main lifeguard station and near the clean restrooms. Parking in surrounding neighborhood. Bring a beach wagon for your stuff. Sand is soft and grain is small.

Memories, memories. Great place to hang out, bring your family to, and also meet new people and have long-lasting relationships. There's a group of people who play volleyball every Sunday at 1300/1pm. Check it out.

Central Beach is BIG! It is a very wide beach, but they've added handicap access mats to the waters' edge, which greatly enhances access. The water is great, and you've got miles of wet sand to jog on. Not many beaches feature the regular entertainment of cool Navy aircraft approaching for landings, but Central Beach doesn't disappoint!

SUPER gorgeous and peaceful beach. Come for a sunset! Lots of random gold glitter all over the sand and water at times? I still have no answer as to how or why this happens, but it’s neat. I often get out of the water with gold glitter all over me, lol. Really clean here. Be on the lookout for sting rays though! My partner has been stung here a couple times. Do the shuffle! And be prepared for air nose as the base is right next door.

Very nice beach. We were even able to watch dolphins from the beach. Beer costs around $12 and piΓ±a colada costs $20. Chairs on the beach €25 each and an umbrella around $30. Everything is very overpriced

A coastal paradise. Coronado Central Beach is simply spectacular. With its golden sand, crystal clear waters and panoramic views of the ocean and the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, this place is ideal for relaxing, walking or practicing water sports. The sunsets here are postcard-perfect. Perfect for families, couples, or any beach lover looking for serenity and beauty in San Diego.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The only downside,I lost my wallet with all my id and am still waiting for some to turn it in. I figured with it being on base I would have gotten in back quickly. I came out here to visit my family and enjoy spending time with them in San Diego. Update: The day before I flew out I was called by a...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ My husband and I usually visit this beach. One of the amazing beaches of San Diego which is relatively less windy. If one is looking to chill with friends around a camp fire, do some barbecue, this is the place. The shore is clean as well. Overall a great hangout spot! 🧑
