Trash. No waffles. The coffee was terrible. The floor is really dirty. There was a hole in the wall. The pool is dirty but it’s winter so I suppose it doesn’t really matter. There is missing pieces on the stairs. I came to book a suite and I couldn’t even get it because of a leak.

We were placed in a room in the back of the hotel first and upon entry to room it smelled and was much different than the photos online. I went to the restroom and noticed how dirty the floor and shower was. There was public hair all over the walls and inside the toilet bowl. There was hair in the sink and on the counter. Then we decided to check the beds. When we pulled the comforter back both beds had stains on them and the pillow cases on both beds were stained as well and smelled. My husband then noticed small roaches crawling on the wall. I called front desk and let them know we were packing up and wanted a full refund. He asked me to come to the front office to discuss it first. He told me that the rooms in the front were much cleaner and he would personally take me to see the room first. I told him no I wanted a full refund he stated the manager could help me tomorrow after 10 however no refund could be issued. I decided to go look at another room in the front of the hotel and it was still dirty but the beds appeared clean because I had my kids that was my main concern. We stayed there 2 nights and on our final day when we checked out I was in the lobby and the staff was discussing how 2 rooms in the back of the hotel were broken into and then we spoke to a girl who was also placed in the back and she told us her room was broken into also. I will definitely pay the extra money next time to stay at a clean nice hotel. Never again will I return here. Highly don't recommend it.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The only reason I got this hotel was because it looked okay from the pics online. Once we arrived I thought it was super disgusting with trash, broken glass in the parking lot, and stairs that looked like you would fall through. Dead animals and water leaks everywhere. The first room they gave me was dirty, the second time I went to the office I got yet another room that was dirty and they tried to say they housekeepers just “forgot” to fix the wrinkly bed but it obviously looked like someone slept in the bed. The female at the front was super rude and asked if I was sure it wasn’t MY trash. 🤦🏼‍♀️ the male manager tried to get housekeeping to just make the bed and I refused. I ended up with a 3rd room that was barely “clean” by anyone’s standards. The key card for the 3rd room on the second floor wouldn’t work. When I called the front office the lady yelled at me to come back to the office. I told her no I will not be back to the office for a 4th time. She needed to come fix it. After waiting in the sun for over 5 min she ran up, let me in, and took off. Floor was dirty, counters sticky, and ALL the towels had gross stains. I have the pics to prove it. The room had no fridge or anything extra which I paid for. It was a horrible stay with blankets gross looking and thinner than tissues. The place looked like I’d get robbed just parking. I was afraid to even park my truck overnight. Thank god it was only one night because I wouldn’t take more than a couple of hrs. Worst $144 I have ever spent for a dirty room, rude staff, and disgusting and I mean disgusting amenities. DO NOT STAY HERE. Pay the extra few dollars and go to motel 6 or ANY other hotel nearby. I wish I could get a refund because I would not send my worst enemy there for a night.

The only reason I even stayed here was because it was the only hotel in the entire city that would let someone under 21 check in, but I honestly would have been better off sleeping in my car on the beach loll. First off, all of the stair wells and walkways looked like they were barely intact, like they could crumble and collapse at any moment, and the elevator felt like it was on its last leg. In our room, there were what looked like mold and blood stains in the the sheet, as well as many cigarette holes. There was also a bunch of dirt and sand in the sheets. The floor was definitely not clean from the start, my socks turned black after about 5 minutes of walking around in there. Also there were pubes all in the bathroom. In the morning my key card got de-magnetized twice locking my out of my room (I didn't have it anywhere near my phone either). I didn't plan on swimming at the hotel but I couldn't help but notice how nasty the pool water looked. DEFINITELY spring for a better hotel, this place sucks. If your under 21 and trying to stay in Corpus then definitely go with an air BNB

We booked a non-smoking room and when we arrived the guy at the front desk said we're getting a smoking room and if we want a non-smoking room it'd be an extra $50-60. We showed him our itinerary and it said non-smoking, so he agreed and gave us a room. We walk in and the whole room smells like cigarettes, not to mention the disgusting cigarette burn on the blanket.. I'm pregnant and we have our 2yr old son with us, this is very unprofessional. I will never come back to this place!

Worst hotel stay by far. The rooms were dirty, there were bugs and roaches in the rooms, the AC was blowing hot air. I had to switch rooms three times and one night we slept in a hot room so bad we woke up sweating. I went and bought an Artic Air just to be somewhat comfortable. The last night we were there we finally got a decent room with cold AC but still there were bugs. Management was saying they don't offer reimbursement if the problems were fixed but what about the days and nights of suffering in a hot room with two kids? Save your money and stay at a well known hotel. This is a motel with a fancy hotel sticker on the name.

Worse place to stay. Its a scam. Dead roaches in the room, no comforter, stains on all towels, bed sheets and pillows, spider webs, dirty and sticky floors, mold everywhere in the room and showers. Customer service was okay. All the workers that cleaned the rooms were rude. They never took out the trash or cleaned anything while we were out. They just threw new towels on the bed. They also left our door open after leaving the towels so our stuff could’ve gotten taken. I felt so unsafe alone especially with a 2 year old… they didnt even clean out other peoples belongings. There was still someones clothes in the bathroom.. sink and showers are clogged so it took forever for the water to go down and theres 3 lamps in the room and only one had a light bulb…

Very disappointed. We were in town for my twin granddaughters birthday and this hotel was the closest to their house. My daughter actually booked the rooms for us. This was the first time she had ever booked a hotel. We reserved two rooms. Both were extremely dirty. I called the office and asked for new sheets in our 3rd floor room because the ones on the bed had so many stains. The lady at the front desk assured me they were clean and that’s all they had. In addition, we asked for non-smoking but were given smoking rooms that smelled very bad. We also requested a room on the first floor but they said that was all that was available. The room on the second floor was the worst. The bathroom was disgusting and not clean. Dirt and hair on the floor, tub, toilet, and so many roaches. Some of the lights did not work in the room. The phone did not work because it was not plugged in. When I plugged it in it was hanging from the wall because the cord was not long enough. My daughter and her friend were going to sleep with me on the second floor room because they were scared to sleep in the other room but when a roach crawled across the bed they changed their mind. Another reason she booked with this hotel was because they had a pool. The pool was very dirty and not accessible. Their complimentary breakfast included coffee and some stale bread. I thought the hotel was horrible but my daughter felt so bad and was crying because she didn’t check the reviews and made a terrible mistake. I didn’t have the heart to complain to the office about all of the issues. I just sucked it up and stayed at the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The hotel canceled our room and then charged us 100 dollars more for our stay. There were roaches everywhere, and the room was disgusting. There was cigarette burns in the sheets, the towels had stains on them. Blankets were not in the room and had to ask, then the staff acted as if it was the end of the world to ask for it. Once we got blankets there was blood stains on them. The manager was beyond rude. Definitely not hospitality trained in the slightest. Easily the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at.

It’s in a nice location but everything else about it was horrible. Fire alarm went off 5 times while staying here for one night. Hotel manger was looking in our truck bed for “security” purposes then questioned my husband about why he was here when he went downstairs to unload the truck. We even had friend that was going to get a room but opted to stay elsewhere because the office manager was so rude and disrespectful. Bathtub was full of sand and washcloths it obviously had not been cleaned. Last, breakfast was joke bread and bagels with nothing to put on them and a microscopic apple was the only option.

My dad and I came on a trip and when we were checking in we were told that if we wanted a nonsmoking room it was an additional charge even though he had already booked a nonsmoking room. We paid the fee anyways. The first room we got had a bag over the fire alarm and someone had clearly been smoking in it. There were stains all over both beds, and a dead cockroach on the wall. The office then called us to say that had undercharged us and we needed to come back. We told them we needed to be moved as well. The room we were transferred to still had stains on the bed but seemed a bit better. The floors were so dirty, our socks were black, and multiple drug deals happened outside the window during the night. 0/10 if possible, do not stay here it is disgusting and scary

This place gets a one star because I can’t give a zero. I chose this hotel because it was close to my daughters residence and I ended up leaving one day into a two day stay. This hotel is the loudest, dirtiest, filthiest most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. The ice machines look like they have mold growing on them and what looks like mouse droppings underneath it. The rooms are nasty. The bathrooms are not properly clean. I wore socks the entire time I was in the room and they are now black socks. The room I ended up in was next to a room that sounded like active violence was occurring. I was originally put into a non-smoking room that had a plastic bag taped over the smoke detector and obvious signs of people smoking in the room. They were dead bugs on and the floor on the wall. So many dead bugs throughout the hotel areas. Half of the electrical outlets and lights worked and half did not in the room I was placed in finally. The health department needs to do an inspection of this facility. This place was unclean in all aspects. I booked and paid for a non-smoking room and upon arrival was charged again to have a non-smoking room because I was told I did not this feels like usury or bait and switch. I have contacted the Mayor’s Office to investigate this hotel and I will be contacting the health department and Corpus Christ Better Business Bureau well.

when we first got there, we noticed something small crawling on the floor and turns out there were bugs all over and in the bathroom, sink, tub, etc. The staff person told us he could spray down the room but we wanted a refund. He did not give js one because of their no refund policy I guess. We then got switched to a different room and it has even more bugs, this time bigger. We needed up not staying and packing up and leaving. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. I would much rather spend 10 extra dollars for a nicer and cleaner hotel.

It was a last minute trip, so I really didn't do my research. This place was formerly La Quinta so I had higher expectations. The sheets looked dirty. There was a sign at the check in that said if we tracked in sand into the room there was a $250, it's a beach town sand is inevitable. We were approached by the staff asking if we could help them out since they were only being paid $5 room. I appreciate that the mattress was comfortable but that was the only thing that was going on for this place.

The first issue was one of the management member was watching us from outside and then following us inside(we just thought it was kind of odd) and telling us there is a pet fee even though this hotel was labeled at pet friendly. He said he could take cash too for the fee, we got the receipt which was labeled as a “tourism fee”. The room layout was actually spacious with the main bedroom with bathroom+TV and the living room with its own tv and pullout bed. There was only one extra blanket in the closet and when we went down to get more for the kids they said they didn’t have any extra. The free breakfast consisted of a sum of a couple yogurts and some bread when I went down to check so we just went out for breakfast.

Pretty much falls under the saying "you get what you pay for". My family and I stayed 3 days 2 nights. It was the cheapest we found by more than $100 compared to the other chains in town for a last minute booking so that's a plus. Location wise it is great. Right along the main highway in town near the movie theater, close drive to the beach, mall and plenty of sit down and fast food restaurants. The building itself seems old. The exterior stairs had rust along the step connections and were separating in certain spots which could be dangerous. There were a lot of dead/ squashed roaches noticed outside some of the rooms but they seemed to be just water roaches which is expected being near an outside pool and people constantly dumping bait/ cooler water in the parking spots. The pool was kept pretty clean for constant weekend use just needs a good power wash. The room was pretty much what was expected. The bed sheet on one of the queen beds had a visible cigarette burn hole through it but were clean. The bathroom had some rust along the toilet lid where it connects that could be confused with human waste but wasn't. The knobs to the shower temperature settings were separating from the wall a bit and just needed a recaulking. My kids spotted a tiny roach in the restroom on our second night and it was kicked into the toilet and flushed. Corners had random dirt and dust but nothing crazy. Yes there were some shady looking individuals but it was surprisingly quiet even with the night owls hanging out on the property outside their rooms and the highway traffic noise wasn't too bad. They try to accommodate as much as they can with an updated TV, limited breakfast and elevator which was nice for a third floor room. Customer service from the front desk and room cleaners was excellent. Overall it was a last minute trip but if it came down to it I'd definitely book again if there was limited availability elsewhere in town. If the smaller/ minor things get updated/ fixed it could be a 4 star maybe even slightly higher if they really step it up. They do get you somewhat cornered with the whole "no refund policy" even if you attempt to cancel before a certain number of days so book wisely and check out the rooms/ property beforehand if you're able to.

The beds in room 117, were too high to crawl up onto for an elderly person. Once I got up, it was easy to slide off the bed to use the tiny bathroom (not handicapped), floor was dirty because after showering, the bottom of my feet were black. The bed and bathroom in room 125 were handicapped equipped. The bed was easier to get up on(it was about an inch-2 inches lower than the beds in room 117).

Unsanitary, sheets have yellow pee like stains, black & red stains and ceiling had mold in different areas. When I refused to stay in room, manager did change my room but said there policy is to keep stained sheets and towels as long as they were washed. WTH! Stained sheets and towels should never be an option! The new room didn't have mold and sheets had less stains but towels were stained and tub was rusted, and dirty. We had to go buy new towels and sheets to use. Walls throughout room were filthy. This hotel staff doesn't have any standards or pride in what they do. And BEWARE they charge $250 if they find any sand in room. Very inconvenient when your staying BY THE SANDY BEACH! I was so paranoid to leave any sand so I swept better than the staff did, to avoid being charged. Do yourself a favor pay a little more and stay ANYWHERE but here. No "Palm Bliss" for sure!😤😠

I tell you why I think this place was perfect for me. Wonderful housekeeper n staff. Manger is trying his best to improve the guest stay. But the price you can't beat n central of Corpus. . Please try one night. You love it.

Room was filthy, beds not made properly. They got someone to mop the floor which was useless since the floor wasn't swept first. They won't give you your money back if an hour has passed so go and do an inspection once you've payed. Towels are bad so bring your own👎👎👎👎👎👎

Made a reservation for the 1st floor. I get there and apparently there was a mix up. But she was able to get me a 1st floor room for an additional $5. We get to the room and it obviously wasn't swept. 30 minutes to get hot water, and the bathroom sink plumbing leaked. The "continental" breakfast consisted of watery coffee and slices of bread. Nothing else. And the microwave was out of order. And the signs everywhere for a $250 sand fee weren't encouraging.

Two words. Dissatisfied and disappointed. I have a few things to complain about. But I will say the good things though it is few. DONT BE AFRAID TO POST BAD REVIEWS. TELL THEM! THEY CANT FIX WHAT THEY DONT KNOW. Arrived about 9pm. It was myself, my brother and mom. Their service desk guy was good. Pleasant to talk to. We (my mom) liked how the floor was wood and you could clearly tell they are making improvements when they can. TV was fine, although the remote and channels took a bit to figure out. Lobby was nice. Now the bad. Elevator looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months and it smelled like urine. Disappointed with the bedding and breakfast (mainly my mother was as my brother and I are not morning eaters). It's just 2 small flat pillows for each bed. No blankets. Excluding the fitted sheet it was just 2 sheets. The "hot breakfast" can't even be called that. Sorry excuse for breakfast. Only a few small apples, tiny muffins and bagel half's and bread slices. No condiments like jelly or butter. Had to ask for butter and they said "sorry we don't have any" before back tracking and checking the back. Came back out with a half empty used tub of butter that looked like it was for staff use. Barely any drinks, see the photos. Our room could of been better. Door clearly hasn't been wiped. Bathroom tiles and tub are dirty and not cleaned properly. some tiles were cracked. Walls haven't been wiped down in some areas. Had to wipe the door handle cause it looked bad. I understand that it will get dirty due to outside elements, but this was ridiculous. Again, see photos. Overall, it's decent for a place to just sleep and nothing else. Don't expect much.

You get what you pay for i suppose. Pretty much the cheapest room your able to get last minute and pay cash with no deposit taken from a credit card. There is early check in available for $10 or $15, smoking and non smoking rooms, check outs at 11p. I personally think the owners are a little extra, unpredictable, and discriminative but over all its a decent deal.

Read the reviews so I expected it to be bad but for us at least it wasn't that bad. There wasn't a turndown service but we didn't really mind that since we don't like people to come in and out of our rooms. We got fresh towels everyday and breakfast wasn't much but it was put out everyday too. Only one front desk person was a little rude but everyone else was really nice. The room next to us flooded due to the guest leaving on the tub running and they reacted pretty quick to clean up all the water. Handicap room was great. A lot of room in the restroom for my mom's wheelchair and beds were at the perfect height so she didn't struggle to get on and off the bed.

We had one of the most inconvenient stay here. The room that was given to us smells like pee and the bathroom sink doesnt flow down. We need to ask for a plunger which took so long so we can take a bath individually properly.

  • 5/5 Rib T. 2 years ago on Google
The staff was alright. Most were nice to us but the absolute best thing about this place would have to be the mattresses in the rooms. These guys really did go all out on their mattresses. It seems like they invested a lot of money in their mattresses which is the most important thing to me, cause when I go to a hotel/motel, it is to sleep 9 times out if 10 that's what everyone else goes for also and if not sleep something involving the mattress. So I'm glad these people invested so much money into their mattresses. I've stayed here a number of times and everytime in a different room and never saw bugs never had bad neighbors staying over and every room had a fairly new mattress no more than 6 months old I would estimate super thick supern comfortable. I will say this, although every room was kept up nicely and left clean. The ones in the front in my opinion are a little. Nicer then the ones that are, say in the back of the hotel they might cost a couple dollars more but I think they're definitely worth it cause they're bigger too. This place is a great place to stay and they have the lowest rate and if you find a better price they will beat the price of their competitors . Which is why this is the only place i go to stay at now .
