I don't know how this place does dinner but for lunch you order at the counter. Don't just walk in and sit down like I did because it won't work. Pros: Food tasted good. Lighting was calming. Staff was friendly enough. There is a takeout option. Cons: Food could have been warmer. I think the restrooms are small but I don't know because it was locked and I needed to get down the road.

The food is excellent as always. The lunch express is a good service. Everything came out fast and hot and was delicious as always.

This is our go to place for fresh and delicious comfort food. Price is very reasonable and portion sizes are very generous. This restaurant is always busy, so food is always fresh. This restaurant is popular among the local crowd for office parties and lunch time to-go orders from work place. Staff are friendly and everyone is greeted with smiles.

I go to Hudat pretty regularly and I have always had a good experience. The food is always warm and consistently tastes great. There is a nice atmosphere here.

Chicken was spoiled has a rotten smell I don’t know why they would serve food like that never again

Absolutely LOVE Hudat! We literally come once a week. It has become one of our favorite stops for dinner. The staff is always on top of it and clearly work efficiently as a team. The food is *chefs kiss* I always ordered a bowl of pho and I am never disappointed. (Recommend the pho tai nam). 10/10 recommended PERIOD!

Went for lunch today. We got there about 11:45 and there was no line. I got the pho with shrimp. In less than 10 minutes, my soup was at the table. The soup came out hot, the noodles tender, and the shrimp cooked perfectly. On the table if you wanted it were different sauces, and with the pho they bring out of plate with cilantro and some other items to put in your soup if you want to use it. I got the small soup for the first time and I’m glad I did, I’m usually way too full with the large one and the small one was the perfect amount for lunch. The place has a real nice atmosphere, it’s clean, and the owner and the servers are very pleasant and attentive. Over the years we’ve eaten here many times and everything on the menu we have had has been delicious.

I’ll be so real she dropped the plate unfortunately. so that part of the Service was not that great. But food was really nice and they ask to refill my cup Everytime I took a sip of my drink. Would definitely come again👍🏾

We got there right before lunch cut off. 2:30 is when they stop lunch. We got there at 1:45. We both had Com dishes , I had char grilled beef, and he had short ribs. It comes with rice and Kim chee , I got extra , no need for that. The Kim Chee was not up to the flavor I remembered, in fact , there was NO FLAVOR , it was cabbage and carrot pieces not peeled enough or cut up enough , which was a big disappointment , I always loved it here. Having said that , the char grilled beef did not disappoint , it was delicious. Not too thick and not too thin, just the right amount of char . My husband really liked the short ribs. Some places have a lot of fat on short ribs. It was not crowded, and the chairs were super comfortable. The staff was very nice , not necessarily helpful, but this place is a get your own drink , get your own to go box , so if you ask for anything ( we had no salt at table, so had to track down our own) server looked surprised I asked for anything. It's still a good place for good food.

Well priced and packed with flavor. This place is definitely a hidden gem although not that well hidden (it has a huge sign). The waitress was informative about the dishes and they came out as explained. They were very tasty and for a great price.

I usually eat at the Northwest restaurant but was in the area shopping and decided to try them out. Very good service and attentive staff! The food was great and freshly made! Access to making my little sauce for the food was easy to get. Only recommendation is to update their prices on their website.

We love this restaurant. Everything we have chose off the menu has been great. My favorite is the beef lomein. My wife prefers the bun bowl combo. You have to try this place out.

Tia here from Birdwell A/C and Heating. I stopped in to grab a quick meal for a sick kiddo I had at home during my lunch break. This was my first time ever trying your restaurant. Not only was the gentleman at the cashier very pleasant, he was also helpful with decoding an unfamiliar menu and picking something that my sick noodle loving spice addicted kiddo would eat on on upset stomach. He then suggested some popular dishes for me to try. When I arrived home and unwrapped the bag of 3 dishes and everything was fresh, hot and smelled amazingly. Bryson loved his soup and everything else I got. I don't know how many times I said out loud....WOW....this is REALLY good!!! It is not everyday you get good service while trying something new and it actually be delicious as well. It may have been our first time, but it wont be our last. Thank you for making my boy feel better today.

This was my first time here and I plan to return. Food: 5 stars. So amazing and I will be coming back to try this chefs work again. They have an appatizer Pho that is a really good portion and could honestly be a lunch by itself. I ordered the Tofu Luc Lac and it was amazing. The source was perfect and the tofu was incredibly big and tasty mixed with the vegetables. Service: 3 Stars. My wife order sesame chicken with fried rice and they brought out sweet and sour chicken with white rice. The plate was really cold like the food was waiting a while before being brought out. Other then this it was a great place and we plan to return because my plate was good and we hope what happened to my wifes order is not the norm.

This place has a very comfortable ambience with a touch of peaceful atmosphere. Tasty and exotic food. Will visit again.

Food is usually so great. Crab Rangoons are the best I’ve ever had. I like getting the Bun Combo but this past time I was very disappointed because my beef was so burnt. When they brought the bowl to my table you can smell the burntness as they were placing it on the table. It was rough. The taste was even worse. Overall, my experiences here have been great and only have had one issue at all the times I’ve eaten here.

The pho tai bo vien (pho with beef and Vietnamese meatballs) came in a Texas size bowl with good service and price. A little stingy on the toppings though, and they were out of basil entirely (normally only on request). Still a tasty alternative to standard lunch fare though.

By far the worse sweet and sour chicken I have ever had. I ordered online and went directly to pick it up. The photo tells it all... dry, cold and no flavor. That was my first and will be my last experience with this restaurant. I never do reviews but I felt this needed to be done.

Absolutely disappointed. The lo-mein has a strange taste, like gas or butane, and that’s about the only flavor. The chicken from the sweet and sour chicken is stringy, tough, and unpleasant to look at and eat. The pieces are strangely shaped and completely uneven. The fried rice is half cooked with crunchy grains riddled throughout. Somehow, it’s gummy and underdone at the same time. The egg drop soup is lacking salt, has minimal flavor, and the consistency of water. To top it off, our order is not complete - they forgot an egg roll but at this point I’m not sure we’re missing much. We were also told no refund could be provided for our missing item because we ordered online. First and last time here - no leftovers wanted and hungry bellies tonight.

Ordered by phone, 2 mains and 2 appetizers. When I got home, NO spring rolls. Too far to go back. Did refund my CC, but the damage was done. The chicken Pho was excellent but my General lo mein with chicken was terrible. The chicken was in tiny little pieces and were fried so long it felt like I was eating gravel. The sauce was really good though. Doubt I'll ever go back. Too many good oriental food establishments in CC to go back to a place like this. If you are reading this, go elsewhere.

Amazing restaurant and fantastic servers I didn't catch the young man's name with the glasses, but he was awesome. He made our visit since we're from El Paso, Texas, fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommending this establishment to friends and family. Thank you again, and if we're ever down here again, let's talk Gundam. 😀

At first impression I thought the place was kind of unappealing. The lighting was really low. The table was a bit sticky. But after you get past all of that, the food was pretty darn good. Egg roles had a nice crispy shell, nothing was over cooked or undercooked. The flavor was spot on. The waiter was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Worst experience ever. I called to order take out and the guy was asking me to do the payment, i was driving so i didn't have my card with me so i said can i pay over there. He said yes i can pay when i get there. When my husband came pick the food up, it was not even made bc he said their policy is you have to pay first for them to make it. He didn't tell me that on the phone. And also what was the whole freaking point to call to order take out when you still have to wait for the food to be made. My husband had to wait there 30 mins for the food. It was not like that with Hu Dat in Calallen.

Food was delicious, Egg rolls are amazing! Everything we ate was really good. Restaurant was clean. Owner was very nice! I can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend Hu Dat Noodle House on South Staples.

Best noodle house in town...!!!! There setup of ordering food is soo easy you don't have to wait for your check..but also food was amazing and good size portions.. price was just like every where else but food was excellent 👌

Had the General J's tofu with brown rice. The tofu was deliciously crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Just a slight hint of spice with the sauce. Delicious food. As for service - I never saw my waitress. The hostess seated me and took payment. Someone from the kitchen brought my food.

Lily and her staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make your visit a great one. Not only is the service at the Staples location great, their food is always fresh and super tasty. We moved from the area but I always plan to stop and eat there whenever we come back to visit. So delicious!!

We love this restaurant! The cuisine, the service, the atmosphere.... It is all phenomenal! Everytime my children and grandchildren come to visit from Houston and Austin, Hu Dat Noodle House is automatically a "must-do go-to". It's always a "more than just one visit" for my Son-In-Law now. We have so many favorites on the menu. We really enjoy our time and the food here. 5***** Stars!
