The staff was attentive to all our needs. The room was small yet comfortable; it had a small mini kitchen, a microwave, tv, and safe. However, the ice machine REALLY needed cleaning since the ice being released was dirty. Also, the pool was way too cold; I'm not sure if they had control of this though. Overall, it was a nice experience at a great price.

BEDBUG INFESTED If I could give a negative rating I would!!! the staff is very RUDE they do not care about anything but there money!! they took money off my card UNAUTHORIZED and they still have not refunded it back.. When I checked in I told them my room smelled like mold they did not have a fridge In there the ac did not work and the shower would randomly turn off while you were showering if that's what you would even call it.. Jail showers are better then this hotel!! The check in lady did not care all she said was we are full and I can move you. I asked for a refund so I can go stay somewhere else and she stated that she could not do that.. I decided to suck it up and just stay since we would not be spending much time in the hotel anyway.. the next morning I wake up to a dead BEDBUG by my face on my pillow.. When I called the office about it then they said they would move me. well me and my family went to the beach and when I got back I asked about the new room and the check in lady said "you knew the situation and you still stayed in that room" I looked at her and I said I didn't have much of a choice since you didn't move me until now and you wouldn't refund me my money.. here it is 4 days later since I have checked out and APRIL the general manager has to refund me the money that they took of my card without my permission.. DO NOT STAY HERE

Great for the price, comfortable room with cold air. The bathroom was clean and very roomy and great water pressure on the shower head. Carpet was a little needy but overall the stay was pleasant. Room did have an ice box and a nice TV with premium channels. The staff was nice and pool was clean.

We were only here for about 3 hours and realized it was unsafe and left the motel. There were people hanging out outside the rooms yelling and arguing. There were also people going around knocking on doors asking for money. There were things wrong with the room too. Bugs and cockroaches in the room. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine. One of the workers (the manager I assume) and his maintenance guy were nice enough to escort us out of our room because of how unsafe we felt leaving at night. He was very nice and understanding, but we will not be coming back again.

Booked a room for the weekend. You really get what you pay for. The room had a small kitchen which we didn't expect, but was super helpful. The restroom was clean the room seemed clean at first. It was quiet. My biggest issue was that one of the beds looked like they didn't change the white sheets. They had makeup still on them. Looked like foundation. Just gross... Good thing we booked two beds on accident and brought extra blankets. We just used the other bed and threw our personal blankets afterwards. Either way just go somewhere else.

Good for the price. Bed was comfortable but pillows were lumpy and linen had some holes. Yes, the carpet is stained. Some of the TV channels had bad pictures, some were perfect. Those items need to be updated, but then I'm sure the price would increase. A must fix: some of our towels had old stains. Those should always be replaced immediately. Our upstairs occupants apparently had children who had tons of energy, just running back at forth, but can't blame the hotel for that. Just be aware that the room walls are thin. I didn't have much interaction with the staff- checked in, later asked for toilet paper, checked out. I would like to suggest supplying more than one small trash can in the room. Overall, it's a decent stay for the price. Just don't expect the Hilton, and you'll be fine.

Bad experience. We reserved the room for two nights and we had to stay the first night since we arrived late and didn’t want to drive to find another room that late. Checked out first thing at 7am. Floors were filthy! Mold on the floor, trash in the restroom, air condition did not cool and the beds were dirty. The room had a horrible smell which was probably from the carpets. Pool was dirty, had cups and plastic floating in the water. When we went to report it to the front desk and advised them that we would be checking out due to the room conditions the front desk rep’s response was “ok that’s fine.” Like it was something common. They didn’t off the correct or change rooms or even a partial refund. No breakfast as advertised. Just coffee, no sugar or cream available. Waste of money.

This hotel gets no stars from me. First off we checked in at 1am and we have a newborn so we get in the room and the room was very nasty. The pillowcases were dirty and even looked like yellow pee stains on them. So I complained I have a 1 month old baby so they gave us another room which was not any better. The toilet did not work, carpet was very dirty it was so late we had to stay but we left first thing in the morning. We was charged for a full nights stay when we didn't stay for a full might. The receptionist was nice, she did tell us that house cleaning does not clean up the roo.s good at all and that they only have about 8 good rooms out of the entire hotel. Please do not stay here. Its horrible and nasty. You get what you pay for.

I had a great time for the one day I stayed. The room was clean which is all we can really ask for when staying at a hotel right? The only problem I had was there was an unbearably loud noise outside the room. It sounded almost like construction but I couldn't find any work happening. There were also children screaming in the halls but that down died around 8PM, which is to be expected with little ones. Other than that I got a good night's sleep and enjoyed my stay. The continental breakfast was delicious as well.

First of all this is no longer a Howard Johnson’s. It is now a Motel 6. I was allowed to check in early, which was a plus. The exterior is definitely showing signs of wear and tear. The rooms were clean but the mattresses are old. The carpet is very worn down to the point that there are tracks from the main door to the restroom and in between the beds which are where people walk the most. With the track marks the carpet looked so dirty that I didn’t even want to walk on it with my socks on. The top blanket had a stain on it and so did the sheets underneath. I got those changed quickly. Didn’t see the breakfast area even though the booking said it came with breakfast. The pool water looked dirty and dingy. Not pleased with this hotel. If it were just me then it’d be ok since I just need a place to sleep and bath but since I was with my family, I did not like it at all for them.
