My husband and I stopped here on our way moving to the Southwest. We were expecting to stay only 1 night, but the excellence of the hotel was just too wonderful to pass up so we stayed another evening. As I write this review, I am sitting up in the most comfortable bed with the whitest sheets and pillow cases for the 4 generous pillows. During the day today, we walked to some local stores and got in over 2 miles of good exercise in a beautiful high desert area with mountain vista views. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the room is just perfect. The shower head oh my goodness offered multiple luxurious settings and I love the Watkins aloe and green tea aroma of the supplied body wash, shampoo and conditioner arise wonderful. . The room is spacious and very quiet and we will definitely stop here again. OH and a nice Denny's is right next door for convenient meals!

We stayed here on a road trip a few weeks ago and were very pleased! One thing that really stood out about this hotel was that our bed was REALLY comfortable. It was by far the most comfortable sleep we had on our trip. The breakfast was also one of the best we had on our trip, if not the best. The pool area seemed like it could use a little attention, but we still had a nice time there and a great stay overall. If you're looking for a place to stay that's in town and also close to Mesa Verde National Park, this is a very good option.

Excellent customer service by Kadance! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean. The room and bathroom were overall clean. Some of the towels smelled like moisture/mildew. I'm sure they would exchange them on request, we didn't have the need for those extra towels though.

Staff was amazing! Location is great. Family style room was organized well, with 1 king and 4 twin beds (2 bunks). Video games and a separate TV were available for the kids. Minus two stars because the pool was gross. Hot tub was also gross.

Very nice accommodations. Clean and quiet while I was there. A youth sports team was staying there at the same time and the gentlemen checking me in thoughtfully suggested a room at the opposite end of the hotel. Full breakfast was an added plus as well.

The hotel was clean, and nice smell in the hallways. Beds were comfortable. The kids had bunk beds in a fort which they thought was super fun. The fort had it's own TV and video games. My family loved the breakfast- they had all the normal options (cereal, pancakes, etc), but they also had bacon and cinnamon rolls. We stayed in 8 different hotels during our cross-country road trip and this was our favorite stay!

Older property among other older properties. Room was a standard two queen bedded room. Mattresses were very soft and not very comfortable. Room had newer carpet but very beat up furniture. Bathroom vanity was from the 80's in that it was only 3 feet tall. Very busy motel due to the proximity to Mesa Verde. Beware: hallways are barely lit and have loose carpet with a few trip hazards.

The staff especially Zack and Ariella . The other staff was great as well but Zack and Ariella went above and beyond to assist us. The rooms were clean and the coffee in the hallway was so convenient! The breakfast was free and had great choices, and the lady who works cooking breakfast was very personable.

We went on a 9 day car-camping trip and ended up staying here twice. Once out of exhaustion and once because it snowed. When we knew we needed a place to stay, we drove an extra hour to come back to this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, and everyone was extremely kind. The breakfast is pretty good and there is even a cute cat that stays around there. Our first time staying I took the attached photo, but when we went back she had a collar saying Holiday Inns Cat Holly. So if you stop here, be sure to give her lots of pets, but don’t try to pick her up or she won’t trust you lol.

It lobby smelled clean. The room was clean and beds comfy. The a/c worked great. Breakfast was excellent. We were here two days and enjoyed breakfast both days. They offer a very nice cinnamon roll, good drink options and a selection of hot foods. The biscuits and gravy are good. They also had bacon and omelets one day and sausage and scrambled eggs the 2nd day. Definitely recommend! We will stay here again!!

Excellent hotel that is clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows made for a good night's sleep. Pool and hot tub are an added plus. Breakfast was wonderful. Hotel is dog friendly. Plenty of parking. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful. There is a workout room and guest laundry.

The hotel lobby hallway, stairwell, and room smelled really nice. Super family friendly. We had a king bed and two sets of bunks beds which was ideal for my large family. We really loved all the nice little decorating touches. Just a great hotel. One down fall, indoor pool was super humid.

Comfortable stay, friendly staff, and our baby slept through the night which was a miracle. Just a couple of hiccups: We were in room 118 and there is a light outside that will make you think it’s daytime out all night. It’s just insanely bright. The blackout curtains helped but didn’t close all the way. There’s 1 crib available for the whole hotel. I put that we wanted a crib in the special requests of my reservation. I called at 7am on day of check in to make sure it was reserved and was promised that it would be ours but when we showed up for check-in the desk staff had no record of this phone call or the reservation request. Luckily the crib was still not claimed and we got to use it. But if you need something set up in advance you might want to call about it multiple times to make sure they get the message.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel it was so clean and that was such a relief to me while traveling because I am of those people that is a germaphobe, and will have a panic attack if my hotel room is dirty and our room was immaculate! The hotel is expensive, but I personally think the price is worth it just for how clean it is. I did not get to experience the pool because we were traveling and so tired but our room was great.

Excellent place to stay. Annette, working in continental breakfast, made my morning every day. Of all the staff she is the most friendly and accommodating. Just a pleasure to be greeted by her each morning. All the staff in general were very pleasant!! Will come back

The hotel was probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at and our kids absolutely loved the fort in the room. Our Playstation and controls struggled and only one game worked. The staff was amazing. Pool was nice but a little cold. My only real complaint is I got absolutely no sleep. The people above us were up all day and night bouncing ans jumping around. The front desk attempted to get them to keep it down but it appears it only made matters worse. I was able to give my kids melatonin and they stayed asleep but I couldn't sleep through the pounding, yelling, and running upstairs. The price was really decent. The food was good, and the hotel was very clean.

This one of a kind holiday inn has a Pool, Hot Tub, Plenty Parking, Hot Breakfast, and an amazing host that is so polite and full of historic information and knowledge about this specific location! Let’s not forget the amazingly unique location 😉. Rob Howard was the best welcome when I arrived. Rob was a mellow energy and attentive guy. A long unique drive, with amazing views and scenes, Cortez was an experience of joy and relaxation. As a person that travels, Rob’s greeting and information was polite and quick. Rob respected my time, as a traveler, while he informed me of the amenities holiday inn has to offer and perks of the surrounding areas! I’m so glad that I stayed at this specific location! Rob was amazing and the location’s culture was a breath of knowledge and comfort!

Loved our stay here. We were supposed to stop at NM but changed plans last minute and stayed here and it was the right decision. The front desk clerk was very helpful and kind. I believe his name was Robb, kudos to him for being the friendliest front desk I've met. The hotel was clean, the rooms were tidy (No musty smell). They provided lots of toiletries and they smelled really good. The parking lot was pretty safe especially for us having household goods inside our cars. It was also right next to a restaurant Destination Grill( food was great) . Breakfast was great and there was cinnamon rolls that you can take to go. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Finding a comfortable hotel for a family of 5 can be a challenge - but not here! The kids suite was AWESOME with a king size bed for mom and dad and a bunk room with four beds and a PlayStation for the kids. Pool hours were also great with the pool open 23 hours/day. We stayed here for our visit to Mesa Verde and would definitely go back.

Stayed here for a work trip & it was an amazing stay. The manager Justin went above and beyond for anything needed. Rooms were clean, beds and pillows very comfy, 24/7 indoor pool access, and a really good hot&cold continental breakfast! Those people with bad reviews on this place are just nit picking.. For a budget stay, this place is great!

The service I received could have been better. When I went to check in there were two gentlemen at the front desk. One was checking someone in and the other was just standing there doing nothing. He didn’t assist me with checking in or say anything. I had to wait til the other guy finished checking in to get assistance. When I went to check out the room the guy that wasn’t doing anything was then helping someone check in. Why didn’t he help me check in then? Another time when I went to get towels it happened again. The same guy that helped me check in gave me towels and the other guy just stood there doing nothing. At breakfast at 8am my kids wanted chocolate milk and there was one left. My husband asked the lady that worked there if there was any more and she told him they didn’t have anymore. A few minutes later I told my husband to get something for me for breakfast and he goes back and they had put out more chocolate milk. Not sure why they would tell them they were out when they weren’t. Breakfast was good. I just got a bagel with cream cheese and a yogurt. The room is pretty small. We were close to the elevator. I thought I put a request to be away from the elevator and exit, but they put us near it anyways. I could hear the elevator go up and down when I was in the bathroom. I could hear the water running from the room above as well. The people above us kept walking around and it was loud. There was also an ice machine near our room, but no one used it. There isn’t a lot of outlets or anywhere to plug in a usb cord. My kids enjoyed the pool. The water in the pool isn’t really warm though. Good thing they had the hot tub to warm up. The pool is small too. I would probably stay here again if it’s just for one night. I would check out somewhere else if I was staying longer.

The rooms and lobby were very cultural and so nice. The designs on the wall were nice to look at. The layout of the bathroom situation was very smart with having the sink outside the bathroom. I think that's super smart. The breakfast we also good and the people at the front desk were nice. The only problem was that the entrance was a little tricky to find but otherwise is was very nice hotel!

Gave overall 5 stars because the front desk clerk went above board; he listed everything that was a available and both were friendly and professional. Only reason I marked the room down was because I had to use quite a few of my own sanitized Clorox wipes. The bed was super comfortable and it was quiet. I loved the decor, but my daughter did mention that the picture above my bed was a little disturbing :-). I would stay here, again.
