I started going to Mac for my haircuts when she was running a small barber shop. I'm a woman with a fondness for short and dramatic pixie cuts and had been having a hard time finding anybody in Corvallis who wasn't afraid to use clippers or go genuinely short on a woman's cut. I've been with her ever since, she is extremely talented and detail oriented and just fantastic with hair. The new shop is wonderful, it's a fresh and inviting space and really caters to Mac's ability to create a safe, open, queer friendly and woman friendly environment.... Even when she was running a male focused traditional barber shop. If you want a really good haircut without some of the gender assumptions many folks will try to put on you, I strongly recommend coming here.

About a month ago I met Mac at the queer social happy hour at Common Fields, the owner of Buzz'd and I was delighted to learn about her business. A few weeks later I came in for a haircut and got the mullet of my dreams. It was really wonderful to work to create a haircut that really worked for me and was also gender affirming. Thanks Mac! Mac gave me the best haircut and beard trim I've ever had in my life, and it's not even close. The care, attention to detail and thoughtful styling was greatly appreciated. Mac is amazing. I'm at the beginning stages of transitioning and, tbh, was a bit scared to get a more masculine cut - I had very long hair. I went in with a picture that approximated what I wanted (though the reference pic had much thicker hair with more waves than my own) and Mac delivered something that was even better for my hair texture and face shape. I'm absolutely stoked and don't think I've ever experienced more gender euphoria. Thanks, Mac!

I’ve seen both Mac and Tara as I’ve explored a new experimental cut. They were great listeners about what I wanted and are both very creative! Also booking is very convenient.

Great experience overall! Beyond the outstanding haircut, Mac was quick to share helpful advice regarding hair care and styling products. The environment was very inviting and the experience was certainly more personal than if one were to go to a larger shop.
