I came here twice during my recent work trip to Irvine. This place is a gem! Meats, seafood and veggie plates are all fresh, with great quality. The owner is extremely nice. All staff is attentive and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Felt like home eating here, service was amazing! The owner helped us since we were first time comers, and walked us through all the sauces, and process, and provided recommendations on how to best enjoy our meal. Food was delicious as well. Didn’t expect to walk out of here full, but man I got a major food coma after eating (rice is AYCE btw). Ordering requires each person to order their own meat plate, since everyone gets there own pot and veggies/noodles. We tried both the choice and prime beef; both options were high quality and well worth it, I’d recommend it! PS the owner is one bangah from Hawaii 🤙🏼

Definitely the best shabu we’ve had in the state! Traditional Japanese style which you seat around the counter with a small pot for each person. The meat is cut to order with reasonable price. Flexible to order all kind of sizes. The hosts are super sweet. Been here multiple times and will definitely come back!

Always a great experience here. The food is super delicious and we would always visit this place when we are in Irvine. The kobe beef is sooo good and tender that it melts in your mouth. The prime rib eye is also good. I think the 13oz is just enough if you are hungry. Parking is limited so plan ahead or go early.

Hands down...the best experience we have ever had at shabu. Apparently we have been doing it all wrong. Look shabu is usually pretty similar, but the attention and service we received last night was hands down the best we have ever had. They took the time to show us how to get the best experience possible. From the owner to the girl that cleared our plates....so hospitable. They mixed our sauces for us and gave us tips on cooking. If I have a say in it .. California shabu is my go to.

Shabu comes with unlimited meat in everywhere that's the reason you pay high price for all meal and menu is tricky for new people no one tells you that important part. You pay extra for getting different type of meats, getting soup or appetizers. If the price for each plate of meat very high price for okay quality meat. I needed to spend over $110 to get full. Spending that much i would probably get fine dining in most of the high end restaurants so overall terrible experience. Food is okay not gonna lie but it's not also the best one like merchant pretending. Go to Oishi or Shabuya for 5 times better experince.

If I could give 0 I would. The price does not compare to the quality. Would rather go to a fancy dine out for the price that I paid. Not worth it. Better shabu restaurants.
