Hotel room is clean, a/c works perfectly, beds are very comfortable, there is hot water in the shower and pressure is on point. One down side about my room is that when I turn the a/c unit on it does smell like mold but it's not to bad where it will affect your health. Overall I am very pleased with the room I am staying in. Definitely would stay at this hotel again

Great location. It's cheap and close to everything. Newport Beach is a couple minutes drive, PCH right down the street. Convenient restaurants, grocery & drug stores within a few minutes walk. Rooms are a little shabby, peeling wallpaper, cheap fixtures and the carpet could use a cleaning. You get what you pay for, but with the huge number of activities available and near perfect weather, not spending much time in the room anyway. Staff friendly and helpful.

After reading the reviews of this hotel I was very nervous about staying here. I was so pleasantly surprised! The staff is amazing, rooms were clean, good AC, comfy bed, and maintenance was so on top of bringing us towels and everything else we needed!

Check in was slow. Front desk person did not tell me how to find my room (finding the elevator was not intuitive). Elevator is a bit scary. Fitness room has odd hours (9-9). Service in the dining room was great. Food was fine. Room (suite) was large and clean. Hotel is dated and everything smells a bit musty, but it’s quiet tonight and all is relatively well. THREE SOLID STARS.

Great little gem close to the beach. ALL of the staff here is amazing, especially Sarah at the front desk who quickly took care of an issue we had. The pool is well maintained and the room was clean and comfy. We will absolutely come back!

10/10 would recommend! Immaculate clean property, beds were comfy, and a really nice pool! Location sells itself, walking distance to bank, Walgreens, and of course Del Taco! Great job management

Poor poor service. Check in seemed to be an inconvenience for the young lady who was minimal in what the hotel offered and where to go. Other clerks would lament that they did not want to be there. In five days, my room was NEVER cleaned by Staff; I threw my soiled towels and trash out myself. I ran out of toilet paper, shampoo, soap, coffee and had to search for replacements of what I could get. Pool and jacuzzi were excellent and the bed was comfortable. Maintenance items like water coolers in the gym that needed to be serviced were never done in my five day stay. Restaurant menu is limited and pricy. Expected more from the Ramada name, especially since this was not the cheapest choice.

Do not stay here. So loud at night, we didn’t sleep and we woke up the toilet or shower leaking as there was water all over the floor. We tried to cancel since we booked three nights and they wouldn’t let us. The “supervisor” said she doesn’t have any power to cancel bookings, but isn’t that was supervisors are for. Anyways, do not stay here. Not worth saving a few bucks for, try somewhere else down the road that’s cleaner, quieter and better staff.

The staff is great. Rooms are typically clean (I stay here often). It's a typical motel. However the staff brings the difference. Michael and Will are great people. They're no nonsense and friendly. I will absolutely stay again. One suggestion.. book on the Wyndham site and get the points. Only reason for four stars is that the price can spike now and again.

I love this hotel. I’ve grown to know the staff and even though there’s things that could be updated. And the location is a bit difficult to access. The prices are great and the rooms are cozy. They have a great little restaurant and bar. They’re always accommodating and there’s free parking. The Ramada is huge. There’s three levels. Two elevators and they have long stays available. You can get a good rate through Priceline or Book through Wyndham for their points system.

Great location. Gross room extremely humid, reeked of chemicals AC made a burning smell, and ANTS all over the bathroom. Manager wanted to argue with me about the quantity of ants claiming it was just 4 or 5 and tried to tell me they came in because of the rain (if there was any rain it was very light and this was a third-floor room) Note: I wasn't asking for anything just trying to explain the experience. It was hundreds of ants you could not shower or use the toilet with having them crawl up your feet.

Was in Newport for a sailing convention and this was the host hotel. It's a Ramada Inn so I expected a basic place to stay. The room was nice, the bed was crazy comfortable, and was very clean. There is an on-site restaurant and bar with good food choices. Nothing fancy, but you won't walk away hungry. There are several places to eat within walking distance. The bar had a good selection and the bartender was really nice and made good drinks. The hotel staff was absolutely superb! I have stayed at higher end properties that could (and should) take customer service lessons from this team. Literally, everyone I met was friendly, wanted to help, took time to answer questions thoroughly, make thoughtful recommendations, and were kind human beings. They made my friends and I feel like we were at a 5-star resort.

The bed sheets had obviously not been changed from the last guest. There was a perfect imprint in the sheets from where the last person laid in the bed. The only reason I didn't demand my money back was it was late and I was too tired to look for another place, and the opposite side of the bed didn't look like it was slept in.

When we first arrived...I wasn't too sure... once we entered the hotel grounds it was all good. The compound is very nice. Reception couldn't be nicer, the pool was very nice, beds superb, rooms large and clean, beds comfy, fridge in room, ice on tap, and more. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked inviting. We walked to a great irish pub and had a lovely evening. If you turn left out of the premises it's not real pretty but if you go right it's nice, with lots of restaurants and bars, shops and whatever you need. For full disclosure: the bathroom is a bit tired but very clean. If this keeps prices affordable that's fine by me. There's also a lift to all floors.

Racist and discrimination to the fullest, the front desk woman should be fired and never allowed to work in any hotels. Because she doesn't understand the way to properly work her job, horrible atmosphere, unkind service, terrible rooms and if you want to waste you're money and time this is to place to be. If not save yourself the trouble and save money with an airbnb

I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience here. I purchased a night here for my twin brother to stay in as I live out of state. He lost his ID so they wouldn’t let him use his debit card for incidentals, they wouldn’t let me use my card for incidentals and they wouldn't allow me to change the name on the reservation to someone that was with my brother who had their ID and debit card for incidentals. They were completely unworkable and a quite rude for the majority of the correspondence though I was to polite myself. I’m very disappointed in the way all of us were treated and feel like I was cheated.

The rooms are large and clean , and so the grounds . The only inconvenience is that the pool is closing at 9 pm . In my opinion that is to early , 10 pm will be more convenient as most people are there for vacation. Another aspect is that I was charged $25 pet fee for my small Maltese , which was double than the agent told me at the time of reservation . I was told $25 / every 2 nights . Otherwise we had good time .

Pros Good location Rooms are good size and pretty clean Rooms have mini fridge and microwave Bed was comfortable Front desk was responsive to requests Fairly reasonable rates for the location. Cons Pool closes relatively early 9pm Only 1 ice location and it can be a fairly long walk depending on where your room is. Housekeeping will only clean your room after 3 nights. I don’t remember this being mentioned at all on website. Seems pretty ridiculous. Our room was a mess by that time. Sofa bed in the suites not very comfortable and the AC unit will freeze the part of the room in front but takes quite awhile to reach the further room section They refuse to check anyone in prior to 3pm. We arrived at 130 but were told we had to come back after 3. No free or continental breakfast at all

Could not check in early to start with. The bathroom sink & bathtub were both clogged up. Carpet was very dirty! Microwave was only available for a rental fee of $10 per day. No free coffee, or breakfast. There was a small coffee pot in room. Housekeepers were kind enough to give us pods, as we were there for 3 nights, from Kingman, AZ. The employees were very nice. The maintenance man was kind enough to run a snake thru the clogged pipes. Thank you for that!! Prob will not go back unless things change.

Walls are thin. Housekeeping does a great job and works very hard. Poor management. David at the front desk needs to learn some etiquette for dealing with the public. Be advised only one car park in the parking lot for reservation. We had two cars and were told to park one of them out in the neighborhood somewhere by the management. She said parking rules were on the website. However it only said limited parking, not one car per customer. When you're driving from two different counties to meet only whenever you get to park there. She said because when she comes to work she needs a place to park.

The hotel was great. The main issue is at night some guests returning late made excessive noise and knocked on the wrong doors. Hotel amenities were great. The restaurant had delicious meals.

The location is great. 1.5 mile to the Newport beach. Lots of stuff around. Quiet. The room was spacious - 2 Q bed, sitting space, bathroom counter space for 2, place to put TW) suitcases without feeling cramped. A family could easily designate a space for all their stuff. I just wish they would update the carpet and new pillows (very uncomfy). But oddly, the towels were so soft! :) Although a little dated, it was clean and nice. Dove products were nice. Felt safe while on property. The restaurant was ok. Just had juice and coffee and it was meh. But nice staff.

Okay hotel is not worth the price !! Has no closet the walls are Peeling the showers are old dusty, rusty green mold everywhere all the sheets smell like CLOROX and THE ELEVATOR INSPECTION IS FROM 01/08/2021, you can tell from the noises it makes. I would post my video but this doesn’t let me. if the people next to make too much noise after 12am they don’t care even if you complain! Microwave are $10 per night. 6pm I tried using the pool I wasn’t allowed given no reason.

Loved the room! Very modern - loved the wood along the back wall (never seen that before and found it super cozy). The room was very bright and lively. The lamp they had standing behind the chair was REALLY cool and I felt it should be out from behind the chair just because it was so beautiful, but I'm sure they have it there for safety reasons, which I can understand (kids can be kids, etc.). Nice TV with a GUIDE option via remote ! ;) Very spacious and overall one of my favorite rooms I've stayed in as far as appearance and overall "feel" while in it goes. Dresser had huge drawers! Room had a suitcase cot, which I always can appreciate. In addition, the bathroom kinda had its own little section. The mirror was HUGE! And liked that it was detached from the toilet and shower. Speaking of, the shower LOOKED AWESOME! I was excited to use it. Once I finally did, however, I was pretty disappointed. While showering, the water temperature will literally glitch out and change from hot to warm to cold to warm to cold to hot ... It was very annoying. Also, there is a (very dirty) vent in the bathroom on the ceiling but it is all for show. It isn't connected to anything. It isn't hooked up to any fan and the A/C does not come out of it when it's turned on in the room. Which was unfortunate because that little room got super hot very quickly so it's a bummer getting out of a shower and instantly needing to open the door and walk out of it before even putting clothes on. I did like the full body mirror on the outside of the bathroom door though. Room comes with a safe, iron, coffee machine, as well as multiple outlets on the lamps. Only downside (& why I had to dock 1 star) - no microwave! And fridge was kinda small without a freezer section (which I know is more rare than common so I didn't dock the star because of that - just cause the microwave). Then 1 more because of the bathroom details noted above. I feel like the room would have definitely been a 5 star room, in my opinion, had it had a microwave & better bathroom/shower! But definitely a good place! My best friend and I enjoyed it :)

Unfortunately I am pampered having travelled a lot and having enjoyed stay at some of the best five star hotels in Asia. This one is value for money and nothing fancy. This is my second stay in the last two months. Staff is courteous and friendly. Currently hotel seems to be full and with some resource constraints. Haven’t eaten at the restaurant.

Overall a good stay, rooms are very outdated, furniture looks as if its been pained because of paint chipping and the bathroom has mold and looks like it's been repainted a bunch of times just trying to cover it up. The plus side the day before we left they had a bunch of new carpet being delivered so hopefully they get that in the rooms asap because the carpets are kinda crunchy. We felt safe until night 3 when we came back to our room #140 (first floor) at about 9pm when their was non residents in the back lot by our room "we have a 3 month old" so it wasn't very easy to settle for the night. Surprisingly I only saw two bugs during our 5 nights so very happy about that! Very pleased with the cleaning crew everything looked great and clean just disappointed to see used toilet paper rolls so we bought our own, but that's mostly management because they made the rolls look pretty with a nice fold same with the towels(room service has to be requested at front desk). We paid $860 for a two queen bed for 5 nights 9/16/22 - 9/21/22 overall pleased with the stay.

The staff is wonderful. They are super helpful, nice and made our time there. If you have a chance to go to the restaurant do! The food is very basic but great and well priced. The bar is perfect. Barbara is the best!!! She treats every customer with the warmth and makes perfect drinks. My wife and I could not have been happier!

TL;DR - the room was 2 or 3 stars, but the staff earned a 5. I gave them an extra star, simply because David (hotel clerk) was amazing. I'm very conflicted about this review. I stayed here 3 nights and the staff were absolutely amazing. I worked with David at the front desk and he was wonderful to talk to, extremely kind, and immensely helpful. Sadly, the room left much to be desired. The AC wouldn't stay on. It would cool to a point and then stop. This had me waking up every couple of hours sweating with humid suffocation. The bed was terrible, too. I could feel the springs in my back. The shower would change temperatures from scalding to freezing with every flush (I'm guessing it's pipework was connected to the toilets of other guests). This made showering unenjoyable. The room was dated - not what I expected for $150/night. All in all, I would rate the room at 2 or 3 stars. Normally, I would have said something to the front desk, but I was working 13-14 hour days and the last thing I wanted to do was mess around with moving at 11pm. For this reason, I decided to give them 4 stars. The staff more than made up for a couple of the issues and since I didn't voice my frustrations, they really couldn't help. That said, I expect a certain quality at $150/night and this didn't have it.

The location is perfect, close to many nice places. You need to call front desk to have your room cleaned early, otherwise, they won't. I liked my room but I thought it was kind of dark. The service during the week is excellent at the restaurant, the waiter is very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

This location was actually really nice. The pool area and room was nice and clean. Unfortunately they placed us in a room directly under another room that was under construction. We did not get to sleep in on any of the days we spent there. Construction started at 8am sharp with loud machinery directly above us. In addition to the construction there were a number of guests screaming and shouting at 8am on Saturday. They also played music so loud our walls vibrated. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights Wednesday-Saturday. Thursday morning construction 8am Friday morning construction/loud guests 8am Saturday morning loud guests 8am. Unfortunately hotel staff was unable to get the noise under control for the entirety of our stay which resulted in us being exhausted coming home from what was suppose to be a relaxing vacation.
