One
of
the
best
hotels
in
Caparica
Costa
da
Caparica
is
a
small
town
on
the
outskirts
of
the
metropolitan
area
of
Lisbon,
it’s
the
typical
beach
town
with
souvenir’s
shops,
surf
academy’s,
beach
bars
and
a
loooot
of
restaurants.
You
can
get
there
by
catching
a
direct
bus
from
Praça
de
Espanha
(Lisbon),
that
will
take
you
there
in
about
15/30
minutes.
There
are
a
bunch
of
places
that
you
can
choose
to
stay
in
Caparica,
however
the
most
renowned
place
is
the
Hotel
Praia
do
Sol,
for
it
was
the
first
hotel
build
in
Costa
da
Caparica;
it
is
a
very
old
hotel
(build
in
1935),
and
even
with
the
all
the
“renovations”
it
still
has
that
old
Art
deco
feeling.
The
rooms
are
not
very
big
and
the
furniture
is
old,
but
the
beds
were
very
comfortable.
The
bathroom
was
very
clean
and
quite
big
for
the
size
of
the
room
(our
had
a
bathtub),
the
room
was
also
very
clean
and
tidy.
The
cleaning
lady
was
very
polite,
as
well
as
the
reception
staff
that
worked
24/7.
The
hotel
at
night
is
in
a
quiet
place,
so
there
is
no
noisy
party´s
around;
the
location
is
in
the
main
touristic
street
of
Caparica,
so
you
are
close
to
everything
(shops,
food,
and
day
bars
–
night
bars
are
on
the
beach),
for
a
2
star
hotel
(it
felt
like
a
3
star
hotel)
the
location,
is
excellent.
The
location
of
beach
is
just
10
minutes
(walking)
from
the
hotel
in
the
end
of
the
street,
and
when
you
get
there
you
have
20
kilometers
of
pristine
white
sandy
beaches’.
There
are
tourists
around,
but
not
as
the
“invasion”
in
Algarve;
in
Caparica
you
can
still
see
traditional
wood
boats
of
the
fishermen,
parked
in
the
beach
and
if
you
are
lucky
you
may
see
them
go
out
to
sea
in
those
small
boats.
All
and
all,
excellent
place
for
a
short
vacation,
and
a
good
hotel
with
nice
staff
for
a
“comfortable”
price.
Note:
July
and
August
are
the
most
expensive
month´s
in
Caparica.
