Great view. Worth a look. Honest Abe Lincoln was there in 1859, so it must be cool.

There is one access that is shut off for repair at this time due to damage to railing and steps. Beautiful view, great workout on the 134 stairs if you like to walk/jog down to the street below. The stairs are varying size and degrees. You can stand at top and take in the panoramic view.

It's a pretty sweet monument, on a very scenic overlook. However, it's disappointing that someone felt the need to graffiti the front of it. I've had many very uplifting gospel discussions there though, which more than makes up for my disappointment

This is an interesting Monument with beautiful views. It is smaller than I expected, but it is still worth a visit.

Beautiful view of the modern style of the Council Bluffs overpass on West Broadway, the historic buildings near the train depot loooking to the right from the view and more industrial buildings to your left view. Down town Omaha is directly ahead as you look into the distance from the center of the viewpoint. The open skies are gorgeous. This point is a lovely historic neighborhood. It is found a about a block west from the cemetery where you can find the Black Angel. It has a long stair case that goes downward into peaceful woodland with a nature trail. The homeowners are kind, and you can find people enjoying the exercise and beauty of the area.

President Abraham Lincoln played a major role in impactful and necessary change that shaped our nation as we know it today. One such way was his role in the development of the transcontinental railroad - a railroad that would unite the country, east to west entirely. He visited Council Bluffs to ascertain the direction he should move forward, this monument celebrates and commemorates his trip here, to Council Bluffs.

Great view! Hard to believe Abraham Lincoln stood in that spot. Amazing. We weren't even a state at that point.
