A wonderful little Portuguese shop-come-cafe. Superb coffee and delicious pastéis de nata (custard tarts) I hope my spelling is correct, which are freshly made onsite. The owners are a friendly, wonderful and welcome couple. A definite little gem at the Canal Basin.

I wanted to take a moment to rave about the amazing Portuguese food I ordered online and the excellent service that accompanied it. The food arrived well wrapped and was still piping hot, which was a delightful surprise. Every bite was a burst of authentic Portuguese flavors, and it truly felt like a culinary journey. Absolutely amazing for starters the service was incredible, we had to tip them, we got a milkshake, smoothie, cup of tea, bacon ciabatta, and sausage ciabatta, a Portuguese tart, and a portion of chips The ciabattas filled with meat, we got tons of chips and the seasoning was beautiful, the milkshake was fresh so was the smoothie. Extremely nice woman who served us even brought food and drink to table, best cafe I've ever been to! If you're on the canal on holiday make sure to pop down and have a brunch.

Not just the best coffee in Coventry but the best people and the best food. If you need halal you'll be accommodated, if you have allergies you'll be accommodated. Literally cannot stress how good the place is 👌🏻

Very friendly staff. Perfect spot to have coffee and lunch or breakfast. We have ordered coffee and pastries with chicken and amazing sandwiches. Bread is fresh with chicken. I know Coventry very well and it is rare to find such a great place. But this is hidden gem! Recommend to visit and have food.

Great little place for all your Portuguese needs. The food was lovely. I had the Cheese and Chorizo on Portuguese bread for a bargainous £4. The coffees are very reasonably priced with an Americano for £1.80. Staff are sooo friendly too. Bring your shades to sit outside. It's south facing and a real sun trap right on the side of the canal. Planning my next visit to check out the rest of the menu 👍 Delish 🙂

Delicious food and great coffee at very affordable prices. The staff are so kind and friendly, and happy to take the time to introduce English people to Portuguese things. You can also get groceries here too. My only complaint is the outdoor tables have no shade and get really hot, a few parasols wouldn't go amiss.

Me and my partner have been coming here since we moved to Coventry a few years ago, I wouldn't even recommend to go here, I'd just say you're crazy if you don't go here! Home made, traditional and absolutely delicious Portuguese food. Maria, the owner and her partner are such unbelievably lovely people and will make you feel like a part of the family as soon as you walk in. Whether you have or haven't tried Portuguese food you need to come here and try it out. Oh and btw, Maria makes by far the best Pastel De Nata you'll ever try, if you disagree I'll personally refund you!!

A delightful little shop selling all manner of Portuguese and Brazilian products. Don't be fooled by the small size, there is lots of variety here. Fish, meat, pantry items, frozen ready meals, bread, I found everything I needed. The owner is also the nicest person you'll ever meet. Service with a genuine smile and kindness. This is now my one stop shop for Portuguese food!

What a little Coventry gem! We’ve stopped in a few times to pick up pastries and have a coffee. Maria and her team are always so lovely. Today we stopped in for a bite to eat - wow. Simple, very delicious food. Gorety has so many 5-star reviews for a reason!
