When we got there for a wedding the venue was good and looked very presentable. However when we TRIED to get to our rooms it was like a bloody maze and the lights were all flickering as if it were a horror movie. We also had to deal with the horrendous smell whilst finding our rooms. We finally got to our room after countless stairs to climb because we were too scared to use the lift as we heard people had got trapped in it. The card reader didn't even work on the door and we had to get a key because of how budget the hotel was despite the amount we paid. Now the rooms were even worse; they smelt like smoke and the decor was outdated. The toilet didn't flush and overall was just filthy. The beds were dirty, not even tidied and filled with toe nails. *** THIS IS A WARNING: AVOID AT ALL COSTS ***

Went for a wedding 2 weeks ago, dated place. Not wheelchair friendly at all. Steps everywhere. Tail lift wasn't working. No disabled toilets. I'm sure if it is a wedding venue a disabled toilet is compulsory under building regulations for wheelchair users & elderly. Caretaker offered to use one of the disabled bedroom toilet which was dated with black marks in toilet, seat was wobbly. Managed for a quick visit. I'm sure this would be taken seriously

Do not book your wedding here. I had my whole day here, along with my civil ceremony. I was told a week before The big day by Coventry registrars that I no longer will be allowed to have my civil as the hotel failed fire safety regulations with months to improve. Ravi totally played it down when I confronted him and tried to persuade me to have an unofficial ceremony which according to him was basically β€œthe same thing” apart from the BIG difference of us not being LEGALLY married. This was the cherry on top of the cake with a long list of issues from start to finish.

I don't know how this hotel even got 3*. Where do I start?! Firstly, the bathroom definatly hasn't been cleaned as the toilet was filthy with wee stains on the lid, seat and bowl. The sink had someone else's hair left in it and the floor looked like its never seen a mop. The kettle lid was broken and no batteries in remote. A sock covers the fire alarm and none of the surfaces in the room had been cleaned. Carpet and furniture very dated. Ooo and there was a bottle of tonic wine left on the shelf. The only good thing I can say about it is the bedding was clean. Wont be staying here again that's for sure!

This hotel is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, hotel staff very slovenly in dress and demeanour. Gave us no details of meal times, nothing in the room either so we arrived late for breakfast at 9am to be told chef had gone. Room not serviced while there, an outside flood light lighting our room all night, items not working in room although were replaced when asked. Hotel very run down, management oversight obviously lacking with apparent disinterest especially at reception most of the time. . Breakfast basic, tables not laid, floor not clean. Did receive help from waitress when we asked but not a nice place to be in. Would never enter the doors again!

We stayed at the hotel as there was a wedding event. The wedding venue and ceremony was beautiful and they decor and presentation and the staff were friendly however..... we chose to stay at the hotel overnight as the wedding ended very late, the room were filthy, there was vomit stains on carpets, our bathroom had feacal stains on the wall, the taps were very dirty and the handle to our tap broke, the windows had cracks, the door knobs were falling off the bathroom.. it was a nightmare. We spoke to the manager he did move us but we looked at 3 other potential room before choosing one as all of them had same problem. The staff are nice but the hygiene levels were very poor, please get a hotel inspection for this hotel the rooms are filthy and falling apart!!!!

By far the worst hotel I have stayed and that's bad considering I stay in 2 to 4 hotels a week all year round for work. The most positive thing about the whole experience was leaving the next morning. The room was dirty old and falling apart. One out of the three sockets worked only after a bit wiggle, the bathroom tap was dripping, pipes made noises all night along with a handful of drunks and what I can only describe as a herd of large animal's running up and down the corridors through out the night. All this would of been OK if the room was maybe Β£30 a night but at Β£120 it's a compleate disgrace. I have left this hotel with my pants round my ankles, don't make the same mistake!

I have stayed at this hotel now for the 3rd time and I always have a great experience with my stay. The staff are always accommodating and polite. Each time I have arrived I have been greeted by a lady by the name of Anni; which I believe to be the manager. She has always made sure my stay is comfortable when I have been there. If your looking for a nice, relaxing place to stay that's quiet then this hotel will fit you well.

Paid Β£45 for a room with a double bed and two singles and was limited to only 3 people the in room. They then asked for Β£30 for a room to sleep the other person as they couldn't go anywhere else, so we decided to pay the Β£30 and then they said Β£50 for the same room. 5 mins later after talking with the group he then said there was no rooms left. So we decided to leave, on the way out he stopped us and said he could go up but for 3 hours, but had to come back and leave afterwards. Poor customer service and they bedrooms were not well kept as there were holes and scuff marks all over the walls

Worst hotel you will ever stay in. Holes in the walls in rooms, locks on door falling off, carpet laid over old carpet. Can see old carpet as new one is too small. Bathroom dangerous and breakfast inedible. Made a complaint but was told I could only get a refund if I took Down a negative review. Also saw one of the staff having a go at a reviewer on Trip Adviser, saying he lied in his review and that The Allesley is a beautiful hotel. I think they must be blind as this hotel is anything but beautiful!!!

Room is not the cleanest as when I got into the room their was a layer of dust on most surfaces, cobwebs in many corners of the room and some amenities such as safe in room are not working. The staff on reception could do with being a bit more friendly as even though I'm not prosperous I felt I was looked down upon.

Slow, understaffed waiter service, measly portions served with no attempt to keep food topped up (as requested before hand), not even water topped up (on a hot July evening) and hotel rooms were beyond disgusting. Do not book this as a wedding venue, we did and really regret it! It was the most stressful wedding we have organised, and believe me we have organised many in our family! No courtesy to even respond to your queries in a timely manner, let alone acknowledge any of your issues. Instead we were made to feel like a nuisance. Very poor service offered overall. Only plus side was they decorated the main hall nicely, but they said that was because it was in their interest too!
