Moving
from
America
to
Coventry,
this
was
my
first
official
pub
I'd
ever
been
to.
I
was
so
shocked
at
how
people
just
sat
around
all
day
hanging
out
talking,
eating
cheap
food
and
drinks.
Well,
that
was
over
5-years
ago,
and
I've
gotten
used
to
pubs
now.
And
I
must
admit
that
this
one
runs
very
efficiently!
My
husband
and
I
go
to
this
specific
pub
once
a
month
to
grab
a
tasty
meal
and
a
drink
for
less
the
cost
of
two
lattes
at
high
end
coffee
shops.
We
leave
full
and
satisfied,
and
it
doesn't
break
the
bank.
It's
a
Grade
Listed
building,
which
means
the
architecture
of
it
can't
be
modified,
so
you
get
really
quirky
stuff,
like
an
ancient
staircase,
and
a
crazy
number
of
additional
stairs
in
order
to
actually
use
the
ladies
toilet!
😂
(There's
a
disable
toilet
downstairs,
but
it's
only
right
to
use
the
normal
ones
upstairs).
The
place
is
kept
up
nicely,
with
seasonal
Christmas
decor
in
December,
and
it's
regularly
cleaned.
There's
no
old
stench
smell
here,
which
is
a
good
sign.
And
above
that,
the
staff
are
really
great!
There's
been
a
turn
over
throughout
the
years
of
course,
but
the
good
ones
always
seem
to
stay
on.
They
offer
quick
and
efficient
service.
There's
outside
seating
in
the
front,
which
anyone
and
everyone
seems
to
occupy...
it's
mostly
for
the
smokers.
But
there's
a
lovely
warm
weather
outside
seating
upstairs
around
the
back
-
non
smoking.
My
favorite
thing
about
visiting
is
the
unlimited
refills
for
coffee,
tea,
lattes,
mochas,
etc.
It's
a
really
nice
automatic
machine
and
tastes
great.
So
count
me
in
for
breakfast!
And
if
I
go
for
lunch
or
dinner,
then
a
full-sugar
large
Pepsi
is
in
order!
I
do
wish
they'd
work
on
their
dessert
menu
😭...
but
the
quantity
and
taste
of
food
for
the
cost
makes
up
for
it.
So
if
you're
in
Coventry
and
want
to
check
out
an
authentic
ancient
pub,
this
is
the
place!
Be
sure
to
check
out
all
of
the
historic
pictures
and
drawings
around
the
place
too
and
on
the
way
to
the
toilets!
