Just back from a weekend re-visiting my student haunts from my time at the Polytechnic. What a fantastic hotel! It has been very sympathetically converted keeping the 1950s reception and decor. Very comfortable beds and a great shower. Also quiet, given it’s city centre location minutes-walk from most attractions. Restaurant and bar staff were excellent, very attentive and professional. Rooftop bar worth a visit if the weather is good. Only criticism was the bathroom sink - looks great but too shallow! I will definitely stay here again.

Very impressed. It exceeded my expectations, which were reasonably high. We booked a large double room. It was plenty big enough, well appointed, fixtures & fittings were of a high standard and it was well decorated in a style suiting the original building. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was powerful and it was well soundproofed so I heard no outside noise. Every member of staff I interacted with were helpful, friendly and engaging. We arrived to late to eat in their restaurant and left too early for breakfast so I can’t comment on their food. Extremely good value, highly recommended.

I booked this hotel for my sister & myself. We were visiting other family for a very quick 1 night stay over. The staff were super friendly:) and the hotel has been done to an amazing standard:) I treated myself to room service for breakfast, American Pancakes, super yummy and a very generous portion. We would both fully recommend this hotel as a great relaxing place to stay. All staff were warm, welcoming and very friendly:)

Stayed here for two weeks - one week in a king room and one week in the loft style room. Loved the style and theme of the rooms and the hotel! Hotel is well situated to shops and restaurants, shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure, air conditioner worked well! Hotel was also quite quiet at night. Could use some extra storage (drawers / hooks) and some brighter lights. Make sure you put the 'do not disturb' hanger on the door the night before otherwise room service comes knocking quite early. Would stay again!

We stayed at the Telegraph Hotel as we were attending a show at the Belgrade Theatre. The hotel is fantastically placed for attending the theatre - just over the road! It was quiet in the rooms, even though it was next to a road and there was a function going on downstairs. The rooms were lovely, well decorated with a quirky nod to the building's history. There are little qr codes dotted about that bring up more facts about the building too. We would definitely stay here again!

This is such a great hotel. Perfectly located in the city center near shopping, restaurants, theaters, and everything else you could need. The theme is really cool and fun, and the rooms are really spacious and clean. The staff, from check in to housekeeping to the bar/restaurant, are all lovely and helpful. I've stayed several times now, and I'll definitely stay again.

Superbly fashioned hotel in mid century design! A treat to stay there and gasp at the brilliant renovation. Tiny details like Roberts radio on bedside cabinet plus big details like huge rooms in the 3rd floor from ex-board members offices. It’s a fabulous transformation from a newspaper building to hotel and the design team should be very proud of what they’ve achieved. I certainly was in awe walking around! Thank you!

Service very poor compared to previous visits. Booked an evening meal, staff promptly showed us to the table, however took over 15 mins to be asked our order, (this only took place when we gained the attention of staff). This again happened during breakfast. Also disappointed that salmon had been removed from the breakfast option and the vegetarian sausages were too salty.

Returned to Coventry to visit family and remember the old Coventry evening telegraph offices well. First time staying at the hotel and was very impressed as it is still recognisable as the original building and has lots of information and interesting artifacts about its previous existence. Lovely comfortable rooms, excellent reception and check in, perfect location and the breakfast was excellent quality waiting staff were attentive and helpful Would definitely stay again

I went for lunch and the service was second to none. My friend is gluten and dairy intolerant and the staff came over with the menu to discuss all allergy information and what was available. The food was very fresh and delicious. The best part of all though was seeing that they have kept so much of the Telegraph charm.

Coventry's best hotel packed with character and friendly staff. The espresso martini is amazing. The roof terrace lovely to sit in and watch the sun go down and the world go by. The rooms are amazing. Best place to have a wedding reception.

Went for couple of drinks with husband and got happy on the cozy, historic feels ambiance of the place. Really loved the wall decor, it feels nostalgic! One thing that stand-out too was that staff were so approachable and friendly-especially Miss Lovely! Choice of drinks and cocktails were good too! Definitely recommend a visit when you are in town.

I was really impressed with the Telegraph Hotel. I was here for a business meeting and an overnight stay. The hotel is a beautiful combination on a smart refurbishment incorporating wonderful original pieces of history from when the building was the home of The Coventry Evening Telegraph. I don't think I've ever been in a building before that struck the balance between old an new quite so perfectly. I had a duplex room that also led on to an indoor terrace area, which was lovely. Not all the duplex rooms have this and there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the website to request this specific option (just duplex), but I would certainly recommend requesting it. Our evening meal was excellent. The emphasis is definitely on quality over quantity, so I recommend adding a side to your order., but I was very impressed with the flavours and presentation of my meal and wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. In fact I was so impressed with the whole hotel, that I will look for something to do in Coventry, so I can bring my wife to this hotel. The only thing this hotel needs to improve is it's exit signage from the rooms back to the lobby, especially as the hallways are non standard layout. The exit signage is non existent, which really isn't great, but thank you for a great stay. I'll be back.

This hotel is gorgeous. The decor is in keeping with its history. Very minimal. Fair price and lovely breakfast. The shower is amazing and the bed is very comfortable. The ladies on reception are absolutely fantastic and make your stay here even better. If I'm ever back in Coventry that's where I will be staying.

I had a short stay of 2 nights and I am happy to say the hotel is wonderful, clean and very well presented. The staff were attentive, the room was very nice, but we didn't try the bar or dining. We did try the room service, which was perfectly good, but the options we requested from the menu were not all available. However, I would highly recommend the hotel if you find yourself in Coventry or at the NEC.

We had an excellent lunch in the forme and chase restaurant, staff were extremely polite and friendly and room was luxurious. Then went for a drink at generators, the terrace bar. Had beautiful cocktails on a lovely sunny terrace. Finally we went to the exhibition at the reel store which was amazing and they have excellent facilities with a changing space toilet with adjustable bed, shower, hoist, height adjustable sink and disabled toilet! Very clean and well maintained.

I visited this hotel for the first time last night (for a work Christmas party). The food was delicious (see pics) and the service was great. It's not easy being a server at Christmas time so hats off to these ladies and men who served us. The main bar area and toilets (believe it or not) in the Telegraph are absolutely beautiful. The decor throughout has lots of original touches from the building's history and I really appreciate this.

Really love this place. You kind of feel that you’re not in Coventry! The decor is very Mad Men style and ordered a Tom Collins to reflect that! The drinks are delicious but pricey. The bathrooms are very cool too. It’s definitely a place to go again and again.

I stayed in the Snug, which is advertised with out windows, which is cheaper, the lack of windows and natural light was OK for a 1 night stay. I was expecting a small room but was pleasantly surprised to find it rather big. Staff were incredibly helpful and polite! Faultless overnight stay.

Very stylish and quirky. Beautifully designed with the feel of the old printing use throughout the hotel including the rooms which is fantastic. Great bathrooms and showers. Beds are generous and comfortable. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. Parking is close by and can be pre-booked.

This is an excellent hotel with very comfortable and very spacious Marriott-vibe rooms. Our stay was very enjoyable. It appears to be very managed and probably one of the best hotels in the area. I took one star off for the lack of amenities and water available. There is no body lotion or any toiletries provided. In addition, you only get two small bottles of water. Any extra water is charged at 4£ for 750ml.

Easy check in and a lovely spacious room. Great facilities. Beds were comfy and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast had a good variety and we were well attended. Definitely recommend for a short stay in Coventry.

Great staff. Very clean. Very comfy bed. Choice of pillows! Good shower . White Company toiletries. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, albeit too brief . The staff do everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Food was great and the drinks menu was amazing to pick from. The only downside to the restaurant was that my 8oz steak came cold at first and a bad description of the Tofu on the menu also. Wasn't busy the time I went but the for seemed to take a while to arrive. They did offer a free dessert afterwards as a sorry and they handled the matter well I believe. I will go back soon to see of they can improve.

we stayed in the duplex 2 level room. The room was lovely. Everything we needed and more. Very well decorated and the whole ambience was great. We had a drink in the bar amazing space with great bar tender. Breakfast was lovely with great customer service. The attention to detail is A1 and the little touches of time past for a coventry kid made it a even more pleasurable stay. A asset to Coventry to be proud of. We will definitely be returning.

Loved the hotel, the decor was so cool- breakfast was decent. The hotel information was on a 'news paper' which was kinda cool too. Lovely White and co toiletries in the bathroom, coffee machine in room.✅ They allowed us to leave our bags early as we were off to the 'big weekend' and they then put our bags in the room for us. 💕 Minor moan- dirty glass marks on the desk which weren't from us! Would consider going back if the need arises.

Had a Birthday Party here in the Editors suite. The whole hotel is amazing; the decor is cleverly done on a 60s theme which is in keeping with the building, the staff were amazing and the food and cocktails all excellent. Things could not have gone any better. Oh, and the hotel rooms are superb! All in all, cannot recommend enough.
