I am giving it one star based solemnly on my experience.... Sadly, I did not have a chance to experience anything.... My explanation is below: We booked one night for October 4 via expedia. The hotel confirmed the room; thus, we assumed everything was set. We drove for hours through the Serra Nevada la Estrela, National Park. ( highly recommended ) at night, we got to the hotel, tired and hungry, to find out they were turning away people... At first, they said expedia made a mistake, and that is it.... As more people were rejected, we found out that the cleaning staff apparently didn't show up and rooms were not ready???? What kind of place is this? We and other couple found rooms at a nearby hotel close to downtown. It was also very upsetting that the hotel didn't even try to assist in finding us accommodation as it was their fault that rooms were not ready. The hotel looked good and well kept, but based on this fiasco, I would not suggest anyone to stay there.

Decent hotel not a 4 star, rooms have any uncleaned look, maybe should have booked a pool view, stains on the carpet and phone covered in dust (a turn off) decent bathroom,beautiful view into the valley and Covilha, nice pool area & we ate at a local restaurant which we enjoyed, friendly staff nice buffet breakfast considering Covid situation

The hotel is nicely located, on top of the mountain with splendid views over the valley.. staff at reception is rather slow, not very knowledgable.. staff at breakfast was a bit lost, too.. but trying. Pool was very cold, rooms are a bit old and shower needed to be fixed; variety. At breakfast nothing too crazy but essentials were there.. overall okish experience :)

Really nice hotel at an excellent location. The rooms have a really great view from middle of a mountain and are spacious and clean. It has a large outdoor swimming pool and really great breakfast. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. The hotel management, reception and restaurant staff was really friendly, helpful and went completely out of their way to help the customers. I would definitely come back to the hotel again.

Second time staying here and the views are amazing. It was very quiet during our day with no other guests one evening. Breakfast spread was lovely. The restaurant wasn't open one of the evenings but a member of staff kindly booked us a table at a restaurant and another member of staff drove us up and back which was very kind. The hotel looks a bit more in need of some tlc that previously. Restaurant was good value for 3 course meal.

This hotel is amazing. Perfect location. Amazing views. Very friendly staff. Rooms are very clean and nice size. No faults at all. Also the restaurant has delicious food. 5 star service.

After an year, I must say I was very disappointed with the welcome of the front desk lady: I just want a coffee and a bottle of water by the pool with the superb view while reading my weekly newspaper, like always on Saturday's morning. This place never refuse the enter to non guests. Until this time. Regrettable.

Terrible experience, just avoid it if you can! The room had a water damaged floor that looked disgusting, a cracked glass panel and in a stormy day there are loud banging noises coming from the roof all night. At the bar I had a terrible mojito and my wife was served a room temperature Pepsi with no ice, but they sure remembered to bring the check together with these pathetic drinks. The restaurant is dreadful, a perfect waste of $60, the dinner was a buffet and all the main dishes either had no taste or terrible seasoning and topped of with a cold expresso...

Super friendly and helpful staff! Great view. Lovely accommodations. Very clean and comfortable. Just a 5 minute drive to the top of the mountain. Recommend for sure!!!!

Excellent hotel with fabulous views! Infinity pool, friendly staff, beautiful clean room, you can't really ask for much more from a hotel!

Swift check in, staff was super nice and had good recommendations. 10 minute drive from town with great Resturaunts

TLDR: Not worth it, there are a lot of other hotels in the area that are likely better. It looks like a nice hotel in pics but there are many critical shortcomings. The biggest pro is the view. Pros: - The view is great. - Morning reception staff was friendly, except for the breakfast host. - The lobby and bar areas looks nice. - Plenty of easy parking. Cons: - Rude staff at night (morning staff was nice) - WiFi didn’t work. - Bathtub and jacuzzi didn’t work. - Bathroom outlets didn’t work. - Bathroom floor got wet because the shower door was broken and there was no floor mat. - Paper thin walls - Mini fridge didn’t work / was empty. - Bedroom rug and floor was dirty. - Hallways were dirty - Breakfast was low quality ingredients and mostly super salty unhealthy foods. Other details: - The hotel is at the top of the mountain and if you’re not familiar with the area it may be a difficult drive. Some of the roads to the top (from Colvinhã) are poorly maintained. - The host said they gave us one of their better rooms. If that was a good room then I imagine the others must be pretty bad. 😬
