If you are going for the view of Cincinnati I would recommend going in the evening for a once in a lifetime opportunity to see all of Cincinnati Ohio and Newport Kentucky. You get the view of two states and two cities which makes it much more interesting. The view also gives you a birds eye view of the Ohio River Valley.

Easy Saturday afternoon at a small park with a substantial sight of Cincinnati River side. Easy to reach off I-75 bound Ludlow. Plenty of parking space, family time. Key stop if you want a view of the city.

The golf course at Devou park was breathtaking. The views alone are worthy of a trip. The course was in fantastic shape and the club house has everything you need.

Devou Park is a hidden gem! This park offers stunning panoramic views of Cincinnati and the Ohio River. The hiking trails are well-maintained, and the picnic areas are perfect for a relaxing day out. The park's natural beauty, including the Drees Pavilion, adds to the charm. It's a great spot for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone seeking tranquility in the heart of nature.

Devou Park is perhaps my favorite park in the Cincinnati region. When it comes to parks, it is hard to choose just one, as each park has it’s own unique flavor. The reason I enjoy Devou so much is that it has something for everyone. There is a view of the downtown districts that makes you feel like a tourist of your own city. There are playgrounds, hiking trails, wedding venues, a golf course, mountain bike paths, a lake, a museum, and several other amenities. It’s even a great place to go sled riding 😁 Come by for a visit, maybe check out the flora or soak up some views.

I’ve driven through Kentucky for 50 years and have never been up to this scenic spot. It’s Certainly worth a few minute detour to get an overlook of Cincinnati and the river.

beautiful view of the city and plenty of room for visitors to space out and even room for kids to play with a ball or something. there were lots of people there when we went but it still was quiet enough to read a book and not get distracted. will definitely be coming back a lot when it’s warmer!

Very pretty park, but it has almost no road bicycle infrastructure. Almost like the place was built for cars and not people. The hiking trails are great though. Yet, when crossing roads they still seem preferential to automobiles.

The absolute best view of downtown Cincinnati!! If you've never been, I fully recommend.. not far off 75 outside of Covington. It's a beautiful spot to catch sunset, sunrise, the evening lights, EBN fireworks, daytime, cloudy day, snow, you name it this is the best part to see of you! I also recommend taking a walk in the area as well as having a picnic!

I love this place, rather i take the kids to run their energy out or to get some nature time on the trails and even got a golf course, frisbee golf, plenty of programs and play areas for the children, got an overlook as well to enjoy the beautiful look of covington. It's also good to take your dogs to get some fresh air and stretch their legs.

The best part of this park is that you get the best view of Cincinnati. The second best is the landscape and greens. You can drive into the park with no charge - it’s free.

Devou Park has a variety of attractions from biking to site seeing. I don't think you could do all the activities there in one day, start the early mornings with Fishing, featuring Prisoner's Lake stocked with Trout in the late fall through the beginning of spring. Maybe you'd like an afternoon hiking on one of the many well marked trails or going on a pleasant bike ride. There's a Look Out area overlooking the Ohio Skyline, in the evenings you have such a wonderful view of River, Ohio & Covington, Kentucky. You want a picnic or hold a event in one of the many amphitheater or sheltered grounds. Playgrounds for the kids basketball courts and plenty of room to have a game of baseball, football maybe some soccer. There just so much there, especially Nature, it's not uncommon to see deer, Herrin and other birds you can watch and on a clear evening...Boy! You should see those stars. Well I feel like taking dog on a walk in the Park. What a way to start the day!

I wanted to visit to get a night shot of Cincinnati from the overlook. It was only 6pm. But the park hours are currently dawn to dusk. This was not clearly marked online, or here on Google maps. The signs in the park that said so are little white signs here and there on posts which are easy to miss and hard to read, especially when constantly referring to your GPS to find your way around, on top of it being dark. There was an officer parked at the overlook who informed me of the hours, and acknowledged the discrepancy of misleading information online. He seemed overly perturbed about having to tell confused visitors, such as myself, about this. He said I would need to get a permit from the city to take photos after dark. Although if I asked, he may have let me walk down long enough for a few cell phone pics, I decided to leave since he was in a sour mood, which was beginning to soil my mood as well. The park could do better with signage for their hours. Of course it would be great if they could just remain open and hour before and after sunset, at least. I drove around and found a spot near by and snagged my pics. Oh well.

Beautiful view of Cincinnati!!! And a very scenic ride through town getting there. Glad we took the time to check it out!! It was an overcast day so my photo isn't the best.

Beautiful view!!! We went during a good snow, and so glad we did. It was sooo neat to see the city covered in snow!!! We also let the kiddos sled a few hills. We had a great time exploring Devou Park!!

The views of Cincinnati were beautiful! As a photographer I was absolutely thrilled with it! As a tourist I lived it, however the bathrooms are kinda hidden if you're not from the area and don't know where to look. BUT THEY HAVE TINY LIZARDS! SO CUTE!

A little something for everyone. Very clean and well kept. The views are absolutely breathtaking!!! Lots of venue options for every occasion. The decoration team is absolutely amazing! Very impressive place. Recommended for sure even if it's just a trip to the park or a walk in the park.

Really calm park, with great views and roads. If you take a ride through the neighbourhood leading up there is some gorgeous houses to view. Highly recommend if you are visiting here, you need to stop here. Definitely go to the view point so you can see the skyline of Cincinnati! There is also picnic benches and out houses near by.

Really nice park with many things to do like disc golf. mountain biking, golf, hiking and such. The views of downtown Cincinnati are great and there are excellent photography opportunities from the overlook day and night. Great place to take out of town visitors for the view.

Attended a wedding and reception @ Drees pavilion. Fantastic view of Cincinnati riverfront. Building and banquet room were perfect place for reception. Host and servers went above and beyond to make attendees feel completely catered to.

This place was a gem we found by happenstance thanks to the random Walgreens worker we checked out with. Great views of downtown Cincinnati and the grounds were well maintained and had free wifi. Would definitely recommend adding to your itinerary.

Attended a celebration of life picnic in the old stone shelter house. Lots of nice memories evoked. This has been well maintained. Would recommend it for your next family get together ❤️ of course the entire park is lovely, especially the overlook. Take in the Cincinnati skyline at its best

My two sons and I love this park! The views are gorgeous and everyone we've encountered there have all been very nice and polite. The grounds are well maintained and kept clean. The shelters are nice and almost a necessity on a hot day. The playground equipment is up to date and not all beat up like some public parks. I was very impressed by how clean the public restrooms were! I went in to check before letting the boys go in and, to my surprise, it was clean. I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a place to let the kids run and play. Note: I have never been to this park at night so I cannot comment on any "after dark" aspects.

Nice place to stop for lunch and let the kids play on the playground. The bathrooms are a bit run down but seemed clean. The view across the river is quite nice.

Absolutely, gorgeous the colors of the Fall trees are amazing, reminds me of the poem+ Only Jehovah can make a tree! Please take advantage of stopping to see the beauty of the Earth 🌎 Just sit & take in the fresh air while appreciating the scenery, plus this is Free. The Devou Park is a special treat, the city has been diligent, by taking care of this beautiful park. Stop to watch nature at it's best. After all, what would be the reason of having 4 seasons, if we didn't enjoy what is surrounding us? Be thankful, we have this opportunity to enjoy such a treat. Oct 28, 2023!

This is a fantastic place to see the Cincinatti skyline. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is when you’re on the lower level by the park benches, the landscaping makes it hard to take in the full picture. It would be great if the city could make it shorter.

  • 5/5 Anna C. 5 months ago on Google
Would have been beautiful if I could have found the view of downtown Cincinnati! Still worthy of 5 stars though it’s a beautiful park nonetheless! Please put up signs pointing to “views of downtown Cincinnati” for people like me! Lol :D thank you! :)

We booked our wedding ceremony to be held in Rotary Grove in Devou Park. We had our paid permit and paid our fee. We booked this earlier this year, with plenty of planning ahead. Well the day before our wedding (10-9-21) we go to Rotary to clean it up and blow leaves, and are greeted with this (Pictured) The city of covington didn’t even bother to contact us to let us know someone buried a time capsule. After finding the on duty park ranger, he apologized and said we were the third wedding to be affected/ruined by this. I would not recommend Devou Park for anything wedding nor photography related because they’re unprofessional and unorganized. I will be contacting the city for a refund for the permit fee. Thank you, Covington and Devou Park for being so unprofessional and ruining our wedding.Thousands of dollars worth of planning down the drain thanks to the incompetence of the City of Covington.

Very nice well maintained course when we played it. But one of the tightest courses I have e ever played. But was a great experience, worth playing if you are in the area.

Having been to many (~30) different large parks in the Cincinnati area, I can easily say that Devou Park is the best. Along with a great museum, it has well done hiking trails and an easy layout to follow. I have been the past two years to see the Christmas trains as well, which are great!
