I
booked
this
hotel
for
me
and
my
family
of
4
(2
kids
ages
9
and
4)
and
it
was
a
really
great
experience
for
us.
It
was
not
a
five-star
for
reasons
that
I
will
get
into
later.
1)
The
Hotel
The
hotel
itself
is
over
50
years
old,
it
is
built
directly
on
the
coast
right
atop
the
beautiful
coral
reef.
The
property
is
very
well
maintained,
and
in
spite
of
its
age,
one
can
tell
that
it
has
recently
been
renovated.
The
facilities
everywhere
were
very
clean,
and
it
is
clear
that
a
lot
of
thought
and
expense
has
gone
into
ensuring
it
is
well
maintained
which
is
great.
There
are
a
few
balconies
on
the
main
building
that
have
some
mold
on
the
side,
so
it
needs
some
fresh
paint,
but
aside
from
that,
the
building
is
impressive.
2)
The
Rooms
We
stayed
in
a
room
that
had
direct
access
to
the
beach
from
our
back
door,
I
highly
recommend
you
book
one
of
these
suites,
it
is
super
convenient
to
get
in
and
out
of
and
to
use
your
own
bathroom.
The
room
itself
was
one
of
the
most
spacious
I've
ever
stayed
at
in
a
Mexican
resort.
The
bathroom
was
well
separated
from
the
sleeping
quarters,
and
the
bathroom
itself
had
an
amazing
private
outdoor
shower
and
indoor
shower.
The
room
was
very
clean
as
well.
3)
The
Restaurants
There
are
4
restaurants,
2
of
the
require
reservations
(Italian
and
Seafood)
and
2
do
not.
There
is
no
dress
code.
The
Italian
was
the
best,
and
by
far,
the
seafood
ranked
second,
Mediterranean
(Le
Cap)
ranked
third
and
the
fourth
I'd
say
was
the
Mexican
(Caribeno).
The
ranks
above
are
the
same
for
both
the
food
and
service.
Generally
speaking,
the
restaurants
were
overpriced.
4)
The
Beach
There
is
a
small
beach
as
you
can
see
from
my
pics,
it
is
very
convenient
as
the
water
is
quite
shallow,
and
the
kids
were
very
comfortable
there,
and
so
were
we.
From
any
point
on
the
beach,
from
any
chair
or
umbrella
you
could
see
the
kids
in
the
water.
This
is
not
the
case
on
the
main
coast,
which
is
a
HUGE
advantage
for
parents
of
smaller
aged
children.
The
other
nice
thing
is
that
this
beach
is
private.
Nobody
is
there
except
the
hotel
guests
and
since
the
main
activity
in
Cozumel
is
Scuba,
there
are
even
less
people
on
the
beach!
We
never
had
to
fight
for
an
umbrella,
or
bump
into
people
in
the
water.
Oh
and
the
water
was
amazing,
clearest
I've
ever
seen
in
Mexico.
Conclusion:
I
would
recommend
this
hotel.
The
only
knocks
are
the
prices
of
the
food
and
the
service
at
the
larger
restaurants,
they
appeared
to
be
short
staffed,
like
the
rest
of
the
planet
now
because
of
the
pandemic.
The
staff
were
friendly,
no
knock
on
them,
there
just
weren't
enough
of
them.
If
you
do
decide
to
book
this
hotel
I
recommend
3
things:
1)
Book
the
Cabanas
that
are
over
the
water,
they
are
amazing.
2)
Book
the
room
with
access
to
the
beach
3)
Since
it
is
not
all-inclusive,
head
out
for
some
dinners
and
lunches
outside
the
hotel
for
a
different
experience.
