Dr Bhatia has a very professional, friendly and warm demeanour. I have been her patient for a good seven years. She has taken a keen interest in my vision’s well being since my mom has both macular degeneration and glaucoma, and can be passed on. When she has suspected anything out of the ordinary she has referred me to a specialist. Recently I had floaters in my eyes and Dr Bhatia made sure these were checked out by the Rocky View Vision Center. She goes above and beyond her professional duties to look after her patients. My family and I have always left our vision care in her hands. That’s how comfortable we are. She is amazing.

I have been coming here since 2017 for general eye exams, along with diabetic eye exams. The staff here are incredibly respectful, understanding, and patient. This year, in 2022, I discovered I needed glasses. The ladies who helped me pick out my eyewear provided me with the most exceptional service, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and helped me find a style I fell in love with. Highly recommend Iris for anyone, especially if you are nervous with optometrists!

After not having an eye exam for several years, I figured it was time to get one done. I booked an appointment with Dr. Bhatia and have no regrets. As soon as I entered the front staff were very friendly, had me fill out some paperwork and took me in on time to start the inital tests before seeing the doctor. During the exam Dr. Bhatia was very professional and knowledgable, explaining and answering my questions throughout the exam. I do have a family history of glaucoma so I am glad the doctor took her time. Having had many eye exams in the past, this one was by far the most thorough one I have had. My prescription hadn't changed much, but my glasses were quite old so I decided to get a new pair. Not knowing much about what styles were in, I had the optician (Anthea) help me out for a frame that would work for me. Overall, a very pleasant experience and would return without hesitation.

We appreciated Iris and their staff up until recently. The optometrists have always been excellent and staff excellent up until now. Being in the optical industry myself for over 14 years there is a way of educating patients about their prescriptions especially when they are first time buyers for eyewear. My husband who does not wear glasses went to the Airdrie location for an exam on his own as I felt they know me and I felt that he was in Good hands. Optometrist was great. However he explained to me he felt under extreme pressure to purchase one of the most expensive sunglasses they sell and make them into prescription. Again he’s never worn prescription. While he was there I called and said very clearly do not buy them. I know the optician was made fully aware of how I felt, yet he went ahead. I called the office within 2 hours to have the order cancelled as it came to almost $1,000.00 bill…. And they said he had to call which I respect. As he was in a meeting and unable to call during open hours he called that evening and left a message as the employee told me for him to do. Next day they call him to say order is submitted and can not cancel. Let me remind you things can always be canceled in the optical industry with in 24 hours. It’s about making sure your patient has the best care and had made the best choices for their eye care. He barely has a prescription and yet Rx sunglasses were pushed for a sale especially when they know I’m an optician myself…. No. This was not in the best interest for the patient. It was to make a sale. If done properly they would of made multiple sales from us as he needs regular good quality sun glasses and a second pair of readers…. I’m not happy with Iris’ moral compass here. I know the policies and I know the sun glass company, Maui Jim whom has an incredible customer customer service and would have NO problem canceling the order. And he would of walked out with not just one pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, but at least TWO as we are going on a vacation. And at least more than one pair of readers cause you know men, when we came back. Not good at all. And not impressed. What happened to customer and Optician trust.

Better options in airdrie for eye clinics! Had an appointment made for 3:15 but didn’t see the optometrist till 3:45 where she would leave during the exam to go tend to another client. On top of that they didn’t understand how to charge the exam through 2 insurance benefits which left me paying for an amount they then refunded me 10 minutes later when they figured it out. All and all not very professional and took a disappointing amount of time. This is the first time I’ve actually felt compelled to leave a review so that I could help others not make the same mistake choosing this location!

Brought my daughter in to find glasses that were gender neutral. The service was amazing, and a great price for frames and lenses! Anthea took the time to find the perfect pair for my daughter, and she no longer leaves her glasses everywhere but is always wearing them! She is so happy with the style and fit!

Had a quick visit as our son had something in his eye. Staff was incredible made our 3 year old feel safe. We’re regulars here and will continue to do so!

We have been with IRIS (previously Urban Optique) for many years. We have seen their commitment to service, quality, and community. From repairs to glasses, to supportive frame selection, to accurate prescriptions - they are a full service company!

I have a problem with double vision. When I went to Iris I explained to the optometrist that it is not the strength of my current glasses but the double vision that was troubling me. He gave me a prescription and I filled it at Iris. The glasses came and I said I could not see any difference. He said try them for awhile. I did so and told my ophthalmologist that I got these new glasses but still have the same problem. He referred me to the eye clinic at the Rockeyview Hospital who told me, after completing the testing, that my double vision was corrected for the horizontal issue but not the vertical issue. The prescription was wrong! By the time I got through all the appointments with the wait times it took almost a year. When I returned To Iris to get the matter corrected I was told that because I didn’t come back within 90 days I would have to pay for new glasses. The optometrist had the audacity to say I did not have the problem when he tested me a little less than a year ago. I tried to contact the manager but I have not yet received a call back. I believe the correct glasses should be provided to me without further cost to me and without me having to sue for malpractice. I did not expect to have to deal with this kind of treatment at 81 years old.

Airdrie IRIS has great Doctors, knowledgeable staff and a nice selection of glasses. My family and I have been seeing the doctors there for years. We have been buying our eye glasses and contact lenses from them as well. I cannot recommend IRIS enough.

The IRIS staff, especially Christina (manager) and Dr. Priyesh Tawar, were accommodating, informative and beyond helpful. As a long time glasses and contacts wearer, this team is truly one of the best. Highly HIGHLY recommend going to see them.

Very friendly staff, I get my eyes checked regularly and always enjoy my time here. Took my daughter for her checkup and Dr. Tawar is brilliant with children. She had a blast and wants to go back again lol. Thanks to the staff who makes everything so easy!!

Professional, kind and honest. I wanted to get prescription sunglasses before a trip, and they were honest that it may not be possible but they would try. That’s all anyone can ask… The optometrist was professional, and very knowledgeable. Couldn’t ask for better service… thanks to the whole team.

I live on Vancouver Island but was recently visiting my daughter in Airdrie. My glasses suffered an injury with a spring-loaded door and needed repairing from a professional, so my daughter took me to Iris where I received excellent service. They straightened out the bent nose piece and replaced the pads, and the fit was even better than original. And, no charge! If I lived in Airdrie I'd be getting my next glasses from them -- professional, friendly, helpful. Thanks, Iris people!

Absolutely a pleasure with ALL staff here! Had a bad MVA and not only was the doctor thorough, the staff after that was very accommodating to my needs. 10/10 would recommend
