Went into sport chek and was greeted by a sobbing employee who then apologized for her distressed appearance adding that it was her tyrannical and INCREDIBLY narcissist manager that goes by the name of “TIM” Even telling me that in the last year the location has lost 30 employees 3 of them being department managers. Please do not support a company that won’t stand up for its employees.

Very short staffed for the amount of people in there. Took forever to get our shoes to even try them on. Go on a weekday maybe they will have more staff on.

I went today to return an item. Instead of returning the item the cashier charged the item on my credit card and the cashier insisted that it's my fault that I didn't tell him that I'm going to return the item. I think this is not the way to treated a client if he\she make a mistake. I wont buy anything there in the future.

The technician (Layton) helped me not only fix my bike but help me pick out a new pair of skis for this winter but also sharpened my skates. He was nice with a smile and didn’t try to up-sale me at all! What a great person and work environment

I came in looking for a very specific pair of shoes and an incredibly patient associate named Ella helped me find pair that I’m completely in love with. I was so thrived to find a cheerful associate who could work so well with customers. 10/10

Had the available staff greet me with a friendly hello when I walked in, but I was wearing sandals and they didn't have a pair of socks for me to try on shoes - had to buy two pairs of shoes without trying them on. Something so simple could end up wasting so much of my time.

Exceptional customer service today from Carmichael at south centre sport check. My day wasn’t going well until I walked in the store and was asked how I’m doing. His energy shifted my vibration. Sport check is the shizzle and Carmichael is the bomb 🙏

Management treats employees horribly, saw one of the managers yelling at a employee for really no reason at all. Really disgusting behaviour from the higher ups. Jackson the cashier was extremely helpful in helping me find exactly what I was looking for !

Despite frustrations with some of the inexperienced/unknowledgable staff over the years, Lonnie has always been a highly competent and trustworthy manager. I am glad he has been promoted to Deerfoot Meadows.

I was looking for a pair for shoes online. I was advised by the contact centre to call up the store. I spoke with Liam from the footwear department to help look for the shoe. He went out of his way to help me out. Unfortunately the shoe was out of stock. However I appreciate the effort by Liam and his team. Thanks.

I was at the Southcenter location looking for a running shoes and some sport clothing. I was so amazed with absolutely top notch service. Stephen help me find the running shoes I was looking for, then Vanessa was absolutely helpful with the clothing I needed to purchase. Southcentre Sport Chek Went in to buy a particular New Balance shoe that I wear for work. Found it and an ASICS shoe that was on sale. There were two customers. I waited until he was finished and asked him for my size. He scanned them both and said “ two strikes you’re out, keep looking “ and he walked away. Never did he recommend another shoe or even acknowledge that I might be interested in something else. Two strikes buddy and I was out and into another shoe store where I spent $200. I’m sure he doesn’t give a dam but maybe sport chek will.

Haven’t experienced customer service this bad since the Great Depression. Why even bother selling men’s shoes if you’re going to keep them all tucked in the back with nobody working the floor. Never to worry! Amazon had them too.

I usually reserve 5 star for some requirement that's not easy to put into words. It's about a service edge that costs nothing to add and brings everything to the experience. Tanya hit the notes perfectly. Not aggressive sales oriented and heard my needs. We got through the process easily and quickly with a great experience. Pricing for running shoes is usually on the higher end perhaps due to brand names but hope the quality proves the price is value of a decent investment. Only time will tell. Thank you Sportcheck and thank you Tanya.

I had a fantastic experience at sport check south centre today. I was able to get shoes and back to school gear effortlessly! The employees were super helpful and there was lots of different sizes and colours to choose from. I’ll be back!

The individuals I interacted were pleasant but stock was poor and check out line was absurdly slow.

They didn’t have my size of shoe in stock. They wouldn’t place my size on hold at crossiron mills. I went to JD sports upstairs where they told me to go and JD had the right shoes for the right size. Sport check just lost a $145 sale

Everytime I come here the staff have been amazing and every piece of soccer and hockey equipment has been amazing. Great store for sporting equipment and shoes.

Sorry to say, costumer service is bad. Had a plans to go snowboarding, got a snowboard bindings day before . Back home only 1 binding in a box … Nobody even check the box , a person who brought the box from the back and a person who sold it … insane Called the store , manager told store is classed for today , she asked to come back tomorrow , they will give as a discount. End up renting a gear at ski resort… I wish people are more trained and more accountable working with costumers …

I returned to this location after poor service two years ago. My visit this time was for a Ripzone Hawaiian print shirt green with pineapples. I was escorted to the main level from upper store. The man taking me down was arranging for staff on main level to meet us. I took a few minutes for Milena to find my shirt. She was so nice. This shirt was a M size and fit me very well. It's my second. It has Spandex in the fabric and this gives stretch. The shirt is well made and seams are well stitched. I'm very impressed how fast checkout is.

The staff today was really friendly and helpful. The person in sportswear went above and beyond to check for a pair of water shoes that his device said should be there but wasn't on display. Really appreciated it.

Nice place to visit if you’re looking to browse. If you want to buy something you’ll need to go somewhere else. Virtually no help available. And the people who do work here are interested in helping each other. Maybe they’re customers dressed in sport check shirts?

Please stay away from this store and specially associate SKYLA. She told us they have knee pads in stock so we drew from Airdrie to there and found they are out of stock, Waste of time and gas. Also she doesn’t know how to operate cash register regarding online orders, she seemed very very confused.

This has been a terrible and awful experience for me. Last May 2nd or 3rd, I purchased a pair of airforce 1 shoes for my wife, I intended to purchase one for myself as well and asked for the staff’s assistance, she found one online, which I have a photo of, available at Sunridge mall outlet. I asked them to call the outlet to know for certain if it was there and available for purchase but I was told they could not contact the store. I made a suggestion for Sunridge to mail it to Southcentre but was told it doesn’t work that way. Since I was directed and assured by the saleslady of Indian descent in Southcentre that it was available at Sunridge, I drove all the way there and cancelled my appointment in order to purchase the online product posted . Only to be extremely disappointed and furious because the item was not available at all. The staff at Sunridge called customer service and blamed them for a misleading online product availability. I spoke and called the Southcentre store manager on duty which I think Cathy was her name, to express my dissatisfaction and I was without a doubt exasperated! She asked me to go back to the store so she could do “something“ for me. But for the second time around, my time was wasted once again and a different manager dealt with me since the Cathy was “busy” how unprofessional it that? With a reputable company like yours and a loyal client like me, these transactions are intolerable. This has wasted my time, effort and gas.

They have a clearance deal online AND in-store. However when I tried to buy the item in-store, the staff told me I can’t get both the discount price and the ‘buy one get the second one 50%off’ deal. So disappointed! (Also the in-store original price is different from the online original price! ) Then I went home and tried purchase online, it seemed like I can place an order but then the pickup at store option became unavailable!! SportChek is so sneaky. They make items not available for you to pick up at store in order to avoid shipping fee BUT you can see the item is available online. So frustrating!!

Went to look for swim trunks for men. Was told by the first person I spoke to - ‘we only sell winter stuff and we put the swim wear away. ‘. The second fellow told me they could look up on computer for stock. IF I wanted to buy clothing by looking on computer I would sit home and do it on line. What a lost sales opportunity - people swim at my club throughout winter; people go on vacation to hot spots and stay at ski resorts that have hot tubs. Sport Chek may as well close their doors for they are clueless to customer’s needs!!
