First, the positive. The property is beautiful and well manicured. The views are stunning. However, we couldn’t go to the beach because they didn’t manicure it. It had seaweed in the sand that had a foul odor. We had to travel to another beach that was kept clean. The restaurants on the property are very poor in food quality and service. We ate at two of the restaurants and both were disappointing. The air conditioning in our room did not work and I was electrocuted by the lamp. I advised the front desk and she only said she would make a note of it. I had to visit the front desk a second time to advise them and I asked for the manager who never appeared and never called my room. The lamp was removed. For one day we did not get new towels because they said they ran out. All in all, I would not stay here again. There are better hotels with better locations. Each time we went someplace it was at least a $60 US fee in the taxi.

I think when I went to the crane resort Barbados, when we had gotten into our penthouse room, we was fine after a couple days. Our air-conditioning was leaking water and the lift had stopped working because of a false fire alarm because we had to keep on using the stairs we had to ring up reception and we had to move room and that was from penthouse to ground floor which was quite disappointing and I will tell you why because they had told us that it would take more than two weeks to fix the elevators that was a lie, because when we moved to ground floor after one day, the lifts started working again, which really made me annoyed because we moved from an amazing view to nothing at all and when we move down after a couple days, the air-conditioning in that room also started leaking but we did not move so overall was amazing but all I'm saying is don't waste your money for something that is not even worth it.

This hotel is very nice with apartment style rooms that includes a private pool. The beach is nice but it is a bit of a walk to get to. Very nice town center with small shops and places to eat. Overall it's very secluded and quiet.

Wonderful hotel in the south east of the island. This place is about 30 minutes from Bridgetown, but we enjoyed being in a quieter location. We ventured in to Bridgetown by both taxi and local bus - definitely recommend getting the bus one day! The sea is a little wilder on this side of the island, but the week we were there (August 2023), our teenage kids were able to have endless fun in the surf on body-boards. We rented these on the beach from the Coconut guy - very friendly! Yes, there is seaweed on this beach as well - but they regularly remove this with the on-site tractor, and actually the seaweed is kind of pleasant brushing against you when you are in the warm water - it is not slimy seaweed you get in the North Sea! Our room was spotless. We had a corner ocean looking, 2 bed apartment with a plunge pool, which was a spectacular luxury to have, and we relaxed at the end of each day in here. The room was spotless. The pools are lovely - though this could certainly do with some repairs soon - some of the tiling was coming loose and falling off on the sides in places. This probably speaks to a few things about the Crane - it is a stunning resort, and we would definitely come back - but there needs to be some investment in the coming years to upgrade it and keep it in tip-top shape. The on-site restaurants are all great - though must give a shout out to the local 'Dis Ole House' have at least 1 night out at this local restaurant, which was fantastic! Staff are very friendly and responsive.

The most enjoyable and relaxing stay I've ever had! The resort is second to None, beautiful, clean has the BEST, courteous and friendly staff that welcome you and make you feel at home from day 1! The location is perfect with breathtaking views from every side of the property. Everything you need is either right on the property or a short drive away and the facilities offer a vast variety for all ages from delicious, authentic food, shops to meet every occasion, fitness and spa, and multiple pools, even rooms with personal pools! Needless to say, we will be back! Thank you,

This was the most disappointing vacation I may have ever had. We have traveled the world and have stayed at numerous luxury resorts/hotels and this place is not worth the time or money that was "sacrificed" to stay there. By day 2 of our stay we already had to speak to the service manager about our jet tub malfunctioning, our toilet not flushing, shower jets malfunctioning, filter in the fridge made us both immediately vomit due to needing replacement.. The gentleman that helped us was sweet and sent up a bottle of wine. Unfortunately every day following that there were still issues with our bathroom, every item of food we got was hate to say, gross, inconsistency with the drinks, we had to spend a lot of $ on bottled water because they never fixed the fridge (spoke to them at least 3 times in 8 days about it). Spraying the property for mosquitoes not only wasn't effective as we constantly got bit at night but also loud and smelly. The infestation of sargassum seaweed unfortunately was there during our stay which obviously isn't the resorts fault but yet another bummer. We constantly got phone calls to the room, a rep called the room at 8:30AM to "see how we are enjoying our stay" when we didn't answer the room phone because, WHO DOES THAT at 8:30AM on vacation, they then called my CELL!? Thank God for our excursions because it was the only time our entire vacation we got good food and a good time! Another bummer, their spa was completely booked, myself and some other guests were super disappointed, if you've read this far and still book a vacation at this resort, book the spa ahead of time. We wished we had a heads up. We also prepaid for airport transportation, they had all our info and yet our check out process was also challenging and they frantically found us a ride to the airport. I've ranted enough and that's still not all we dealt with, GO TO BARBADOS IT'S BEAUTIFUL BUT DO NOT STAY AT THE CRANE RESORT...makes me sad to leave this review.

I happened to be in Barbados for a month and had the opportunity to stay here on my last week. It was a nice change because I was on the other side of the island before. This was one of my favourite resorts (and I stay in a lot of hotels + resorts as part of my work), because although it is a resort, it doesn't have that commercial "resorty" feel to it. It feels secluded, remote and not too busy no matter how full they are. The service is great and they have some amazing restaurant options -- one on a cliff over-looking the ocean. The views are quite breathtaking. The staff are warm, welcoming and such nice, hospitable people. There are plenty of 5 different pools to choose from including an adult-only one overlooking the cliff. And again, they are not so busy and loud where you can't enjoy and relax at a slow pace. They have a large beach area where you will always get a nice breeze and amazing waves. Whether you've been to Barbados or not, I highly recommend checking out this resort!

I recently stayed here for our wedding anniversary. The property is beautiful!! However, the property is very dated. I had to take a cold shower every day. The front desk and concierge staff were rude and not accommodating at all!! Two out of four of their restaurants had delicious food. The wait staff, taxi service staff, and housekeeping staff were friendly. They charge you $2 an hour to run the air conditioner.. That’s absurd!!! No swim-up bars, but so every time you wanted a drink you had to get out of the pool. The ceiling was leaking in our bathroom, so they gave us extra towels to catch the water Everything closed down at 10 pm, but I guess that’s so you can relax, lol we made the best out of staff, but I will never come back to this hotel. However, I love Barbados so I will back , but stay somewhere else!!!

Nice large resort, not much to do other than relax, eat and drink so if you’re looking for an activity hotel I wouldn’t say this is your place. Nice rooms, staff and surroundings though. Very relaxing time!

We stayed 6 nights at the Crane checked in on Wednesday and by Friday had to request our studio be cleaned but even though we made that request the linens weren't changed we didn't receive clean towels and had to specifically make those request to the staff. This is a beautiful location but the ocean was rough and there was a lot of sargussum on the beach. There are several restaurants on site to choose from and the Village Cafe has a nice selection of cakes and pastries along with coffee and ice cream. Bar 1887 serves a terrific rum punch.

The Crane Resort is old and tired our first room the a/c didn't work , service person took about 3hrs to have someone come check. However by Sunday afternoon/ evening the ac was not working which was when we made another service request...no one came .By 1 am on Monday due to the lack of cool air, I was sweating and uncomfortable (unable to sleep) and my husband's migraine was triggered which had him puking. I called the front desk made a third complaint at 1:10 am said they would look into it and have some one contact me . I called back at 7 am as no one called or came to our room. We then decided to shower and go to the front desk where we requested the manager. Mr. Jeff came and by his expression wasn't told about our issues. We asked him to get the issue fixed or move us to another room. When we returned that afternoon/ early evening and was then informed that the chiller stopped working at 1 am on Monday. We were then out into a new room where the a/c worked lots better. The second room we got was an improvement it wasn't as tired as the first room but you can tell by the furniture, appliances, the shower, toilets, kitchen sinks, tabs are chipped aged, discoloured. The room is big spacious and clean. The staff friendly, helpful and courteous. Also the location doesn't have access to nice beach, the water it has access to is rough lots of seaweed and not really safe to bathe there. The pools are nice but again if you are visiting an island you want access to the sea.

The grounds of the resort are amazing … big… LOTS of pools so this would be especially great for families… lots of great photo spots … the rooms are very spacious with big soaking tubs and balconies. The AC situation on most islands is not what Americans are used to so the same goes here … the resort does have fans if you’d like to borrow and by doing that and closing the blinds in the room, the temp cooled tremendously… also make sure housekeeping doesn’t leave you room windows open as it seems to be a local habit. The food is pretty decent… ate at Zen and at 1887 and the food was great. This is a resort that you really don’t have to leave. It had restaurants and shops. Friendly staff. This resort is very far from town… if you’re more of the night partying type, stay in Bridgetown. Make a reservation at Chambers in town, it’s super delicious and well worth for nice evening.

The Crane Resort...a bit of the old the new and let's not forget the Elegance. I can not say enough about the staff who work very hard to make sure your holiday is more then you can ever expect. Keeping in mind the beautiful pink beaches and the wonderful meals and great conversations followed with a strole on a warm evening. All the best on your holidays and I hope you enjoy every moment at the Crane Resort. All the best folks Murray Scott

Service, horrible. Location, secluded. Rooms, I've seen way better. Don't waste your money and time here. Check-in is at 4pm however you'll probably wait until 8 pm. Good luck. I was hoping it wasn't this bad, unfortunately.

We recently stayed at The Crane in Barbados and had an incredible experience. The beach is obsoletely gorgeous, and I was pleased to find that they have effectively addressed any seaweed concerns. The service was impeccable, the food was excellent, and the staff are lovely. The accommodations are luxurious, make our stay truly memorable. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend this resort!

After trying to find the Grove Beach bar at the side of the Crane, we ended up at Bar 1887. The ambiance was luxurious, lush and mellow. Nice place to hang out.

Overall, I was highly dissatisfied with this hotel. The only reason we stayed here is because we were attending a wedding that was being held at the resort. If I travel back to Barbados I will not be staying at this resort. The only positive thing I can say about the resort is most of the staff was extremely friendly, especially the wait staff and room cleaning staff. The only staff members that were not welcoming/grumpy were the ladies in the Gift Shop and the Spa. Because of their negative attitudes, we didn't spend one cent at the gift shop or the spa. We rented one of the 3 bedroom suites. While this sounds great, it is farther away from the main resort so you have quite a walk to get to the restaurants, pool, beach, etc. The walk is not shaded and it is an extremely hot walk on concrete. Talking about hot, our suite only had A/C in the bedrooms. The main living area and the kitchen didn't have A/C. We were on the second floor and so all the heat from the first floor was rising into our suite. I was sweating so bad it looked like I had just gotten out of the shower or the pool. The A/Cs in the rooms are subpar. They are older units so it doesn't cool the rooms at all. Also, none of the bathrooms had A/Cs unit so ladies don't expect to be using a hair dryer or any other hot tool to fix your hair. I cannot explain how miserable we were. DO NOT STAY IN 5221; the worst experience ever. I was hot 24/7, not able to sleep, and uncomfortable the entire trip. The purpose of vacation is to relax, but that's impossible to do when you are profusely sweating and there is no where to cool off. The food at the restaurants is subpar. This hotel is located on a remote area of the island. So if you stay here you will need to have a vehicle or take a taxi if you want to go somewhere on the island. It is only 15 minutes from the airport so that is a bonus if you have an early morning flight. The hotel is not kid friendly. We had younger children and while there is an area of the pool that is shallow it is attached to the 4 foot deep end so it is easy for a child to transition from shallow to drowning. The beach itself is pretty, but the water is murky and sandy and very rough and tons of seaweed. Not the ideal resort, if you are wanting to hang out in the ocean all day. Also, the beach is very small. In the end, I would never stay here or recommend me it to someone else. Other people in our wedding party made this statement, especially those who had been to Barbados in the past. Essentially you are overpaying for a sauna and horrible hotel food.

My family and I from New Jersey had high hopes of The Crane Resort but upon arrival we were disappointed by numerous factors. First, the service was subpar. My family and I received racial treatment from various members of the staff. Our room did not have any hot water, hotel staff failed to resolve our issue after multiple attempts were made by family and I to concierge daily. Restaurant service within the resort was unbelievably slow. Zen restaurant pushed back our dinner reservation two hours without a notice or a reason why. A 9PM dinner is absurd. The security within the resort at night was very scary. There are no lights throughout the walk paths which makes it incredibly difficult to travel within the resort after sundown. Overall, Staying at the Crane Resort was a disappointment.

On our last night of a seven nights getaway We experienced very bad service. We came a few minutes before our 6:30 pm dinner reservation at L’Azure. There were only a few tables ahead of our party of six; and we ordered promptly. Not only did the food took a very long time to come but our food came all at the same time at 7:50 pm. The appetizers, salads and main course all the same time one hour twenty minutes after and some of the main courses were cold. We had great service in the past but were disappointed this Friday night.

  • 2/5 Lynette B. 7 months ago on Google
The crane resort is beautiful but the wait time for dining is 2 hours. Always saying the kitchen is backed up. We waited 2 hours at the l’azure restaurant to have appetizers serviced and also at the Zen restaurant Very poor service at the restaurant

We recently stayed at the Crane for 4 days, 3 nights, for our 10th wedding anniversary. The property is beautiful, everything shuts down at 10:30pm. The staff however are very unpleasant, from the front desk staff to the staff around the hotel. They give you dirty looks when you ask questions or even if you say good morning, they barely look at you to respond. The experience would have been so much better if the staff was nicer. My son went into the ice cream shop just as they were about to close, the gentleman in there ignored my son and continued to count his tilt, then when my son asked nicely for what he wanted; the gentleman was very rude to my 11 year old! For the price they charge for this hotel, please invest in your staff’s attitude, because this property is truly amazing. Be careful with the high tides at the Crane Beach, we had a red flag the entire stay.

First the property is beautiful!! However, the customer service is terrible. The bellman are very friendly and helped provide more information about excursions and things to do than the concierge team. The gentleman in 1887 were very friendly and provided excellent service. The gentleman at The Carriage House were awesome! Now to the areas that desperately need to be addressed OR Hilton owners and visitors will stop coming here because I heard multiple guests complaining about the same thing. 1.) At check in: we arrived and stood there before someone finally spoke and asked us if we need assistance. They checked us in and gave us a card to scan. Didn’t explain to us any entertainment or events occurring on the property or anything. We just happened to walk upon the owners night at the pool. 2.) After walking upon the event, we decided to go to concierge to see what else was happening during the week and get information on places to visit. Upon entering the concierge 2 ladies were chatting with each other. Not once did they stop to see if we needed assistance. I said excuse me and inquired on events. She pointed to a piece of paper and said “look there” and continued taking to coworker. As I asked more questions, she became annoyed and had an attitude and told me to go to front desk for information. We went there for them to send us back. So we left and the bellman helped us 3.) Spa: I arrived at the spa. Stood there in front of the lady for at least 5 minutes. She never once spoke to me. I said excuse me and she just looked at me. I inquired on services and an appointment. She didn’t speak just pointed at a QR code. As beautiful as the island is and the resort, management HAS to address the service issues. It’s ashamed that they hire such negative attitudes and people that want to socialize instead of working

Lodged at The Crane the last week of March 2022, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Was worried about COVID, but the resort was very sanitary with mask and hand washing requirements. Almost everything is outside including restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, I truly enjoyed fresh seafood at every meal. The food everywhere was great, but our favorite was the Italian restaurant. If you’re looking for 5-Star food, this isn’t your place, but everything I had was good. We spent at least two hours/day at the amazing beach. There were always plenty of umbrellas and chaises, wait staff to bring refreshments, and The Grove was convenient for a quick restroom break and lunch. The pools were nice, but lacked enough shady places. The only gripe I have is that service at bars and restaurants is slow. I’d definitely return though.

This resort looked very promising until we got there. My family and I were excited to stay here during our first visit in Barbados. When we arrived, the checkin process was pretty quick and we were given the keys to our room without having to wait a long time. We booked a 1 bedroom suite for our family of 4 ( 2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant - we brought our pack and play for our infant but the hotel has wooden cribs available if you need, we also used the pullout couch as a bed for our toddler). The room has an outdated Caribbean feel with old and bulky dark brown furniture. Personally not our preference, as we like more modern and light and airy spaces. The bulky furniture made the space very crowded and hard to walk in without bumping something or the door. The service in the room was very poor. The first 2 nights of our stay, we experienced low water pressure and no hot water available to shower and clean our small children. After calling several times and waiting hours, no solution was found. The called us late into the night to give us the option to change rooms but our kids were asleep and we couldn’t move them. We had to boil water for our kids to shower and we used the cold trickle out of the shower to clean ourselves the best we could. In addition, the struggle to get fresh towels in the room was a constant throughout our 5 day stay. They kept saying the towels are in the laundry and we would get them once they’re clean. Which of course never happened after days of waiting. Luckily I had packed small towels for us which is what we used for the duration of our stay. If that wasn’t enough, we kept finding and killing huge cockroaches in our room. We shared this with the house keeping, they said they would fix it but nothing was done as we kept seeing roaches around the room. Stray animals( dogs and cats) were also a thing. One night, 2 stray dogs kept barking outside our window, waking up our baby. We called reception and the lady said “there are no dogs in property” which was very dismissive and upsetting since we were experiencing the loud barking outside our room. Eventually they removed the animals. The pools were okay. Both of our kids got a skin rash after swimming in the kids pool so we didn’t take them back in. Overall, this hotel was not HGV worthy at all. The towel issue especially my mind. I would definitely not stay here again, and definitely do not recommend if you’re looking for an enjoyable stay. What a disappointment!

We arrived in Barbados one week ago and split our stay between The Wyndham at Sam Lord’s Castle and the Crane Resort. The level of service between these two resorts is unbelievable. We were warmly greeted upon arrival to The Wyndham with music and smiles, they offered cool towels, and cold beverages. More importantly every employee we encountered during our stay smiled, said “hello,” asked how we were enjoying our stay. They also offered to assist in any way possible. Our stay was during their soft opening and we absolutely couldn’t have been happier with the level of customer service they provided. On the other hand, upon arrival to The Crane, we were not greeted and were left to find the check-in area on our own. When booking, I was informed we had an $89 USD food credit. I provided documentation to The Crane but it was not honored. They also refused to honor our early check-in request, so we sat in the hot/humid waiting area for 4 hours being bitten by insects. Upon arrival to our room, we noticed there were no face towels. We requested 4 and were provided with 2 several hours later. Since then, we’ve been told everyday there aren’t anymore face towels in the entire resort. Today, we were also told there are no bath towels. Housekeeping actually put one used towel that was left on the floor back onto the towel rack. We check out tomorrow and have one dirty bath towel in our room. The shower is located in an extremely deep jacuzzi tub sitting on a step up pedestal and there are no grab rails to safely enter and exit. The room was supposed to have a coffee pot and microwave— it does not. It does however have plenty of biting insects. There are wooden window shutters in the sleeping area and shower. Several shutters do not stay closed, providing little privacy. Worst of all though, staff at The Crane are extremely unfriendly bordering on rude. They do not initiate greetings and rarely respond to a simple “hello.” I have smiled and looked at several people and they simply look away. Many of my concerns were forwarded to management when responding to their arrival survey. No response was provided. I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with this place. On a positive note, I will say that the greenery at The Crane is beautifully maintained, the ocean view is beautiful, and 2 employees (Kayode and Errol) have been welcoming and helpful each time we encounter them.

Great place absolutely amazing. Nice beach attached lovely restaurants, cleaning staff love to help with everything. The waiting staff at the restaurants were amazing. Taxi service drivers were equally wonderful. Heaven on Earth with the lovely personalities of people there to match.

Absolutely beautiful!! Been here many times and still love it, will still come back, but only 4 stars because they need to do some upkeep. The toilet didn’t work, the AC didn’t work properly, there was a major power outage for an entire day and changing rooms was a pain (no room for 6 hours that day) but it’s still a beautiful resort, staff are lovely, cleaners do a great job and the beds are comfy.

I've been here more times than I can count. Service is good and the food is even better. The views are lovely and if you love the beach, the view is breathtaking from the restaurant balcony. Staff are very friendly and courteous. I've only had one "not so pleasant" experience here, but I wouldn't let that ruin all the good times I've had at The Crane.

We have just returned from a 10 day break at the resort room 3612, We had been there 8 years ago and had a wonderful time so we decided to invite family from the UK to join us. It turned into an utter disaster. At 5am on the third morning we were awoken by the sound of water flowing from the ceiling into the second bedroom, the second bathroom and into the main living room. We tried calling the front lobby but to no avail so on going there we found several other guests with the same issue after 5 hours of waiting in the lobby we were told if we were not happy we could have our money back and leave, Not the response we would have hoped for. After several more hours a staff member showed up at our room and dropped a bag of towels at the door and asked us to leave them on the water. We found the customer service to be non existent and the staff very hit and miss I would not recommend the Crane to spend your hard earned money on

We had a 10 day stay at The Crane last month. A few issues on check-in resulted in us having to move rooms after 4 days A massive shout out to Tenneyson the manager! an asset to your hotel, calm and professional, nothing was too much trouble, gave us a fabulous second room, and sorting late check out made up for any issues we may have had. The Crane has that Carribean charm in a stunning location. A little dated but this adds to the ambience, food was delicious mostly ( not the pizzas, too thin and not value for money) Cocktails were very good. Bus stop outside complex opens up accessibility for the adventurous( taxis in reception are costly) Room attendants were excellent too. Overall a very good holiday in a lovely hotel.

All I can say is I can't wait to go back! The staff was friendly the helpful. The resort was beautiful and our room exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is one place to stay. There isn't a lot of places close by outside the resort so be ready to pay for transportation if you want to visit other areas of the island, but with planning there is little issue.

This is a beautiful resort on the Atlantic side of Barbados. It’s about a 15 minute drive to the airport, and 30 minute drive to Bridgeport and the Caribbean side of the Island. The hotel rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. We were in a two bedroom suite with a private (Unheated) pool. Since it was cool temperatures we didn’t use the pools or swim in the ocean. There was a strong wind blowing most days so the ocean was rough and very few people were swimming. We did scuba on the Caribbean side of the Island using a 3mm wetsuit, and it definitely comfortable. The service was good to great - the staff all greeted us politely and were helpful. Some were more enthusiastic than others. The restaurants were providing interesting menus and delicious food. There is a Zen Japanese style restaurant, and Italian restaurant and the Carriage House for lunch. If you have small children and want to swim in the ocean while on vacation I would recommend the Caribbean side of the Island. But for an elegant, quiet and relaxing stay, this is wonderful.

LOVE THE CRANE!!! Gorgeous property with an old world feeling. So large that you never feel crowded. Can always find a lounge chair at the pool. So many pools! Many rooms have their own! Beautiful beach as well with it's own snack bar for food and drink. There's everything to choose from - even has an adult only pool if you prefer the quieter setting with amazing views. The main pool has so many layers and wonderful with the Carriage house for lunch with the best flying fish sandwiches on the island - and the rum punch is quite good too! The spa is not to be missed either. Italian restaurant is my favorite - be sure to get the antipasto to start - the honey poached garlic bulb is worth the trip alone! Thanks to Chris Forbes, the resort manager, and the concierge for making my vacation wonderful.

Had a wonderful stay here with a wonderful view! The room was very clean as well at the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was good as well with multiple options. The beach access is closed off due to the issue with the sargassum but they offer free transportation to another beach.

A bit like your favorite jeans, so very comfortable and low key, and a bit faded with age. We loved the grounds, facilities, and staff (shout out to Lisa at the breakfast service). However there were upgrades needed (painting, plumbing, and AC) and other than the Italian restaurant, dining was better at local restaurants.

Loved my stay at The Crane! My good friend suggested it as she and her Mom had stayed there before briefly for a quarantine. My friend "upgraded" when i decided to join her and her Mom on the trip. Though we could have stayed at her Uncle's home, who didn't live far from the resort. The unit we stayed in was lovely, though some things could have used a bit of updating. Some of the metal on a few of the lamps were corroded from the ocean air, as well as some fixtures where the roof top pool was. I loved the tub in the incredibly large ensuite bathroom. It was huge! I even took a bubble bath in it. Heaven! It was cool having our own private pool, too! So fancy! Check-in was easy and the staff courteous. Loved the rum punch! We loved the convenience of the private elevator from the garage. The grounds were well kept, and the grounds crew were courteous. The breakfast buffet had good food choices, and everything was delicious. Staff was also courteous. We did utilize the spa for my friend's birthday. The ladies there took good care of us. I also loved that there was a Colombian Emeralds jewelry store on the premises. My own mother's favorite jewelry store. I was able to pick up something for her. I would definitely stay at the Crane again and would even probably stay in the same unit. I loved it! Whoever owns the unit makes sure you have what you need to make the stay enjoyable. The Crane is at the top of my "favorite places to stay" list.

Beautiful location. Friendly staff. We had a few issues. We had to move rooms since the 1st one didn't have a working a/c, a must in Barbados. Our coffee Maker didn't work and had to be replaced. We went to the pool and they didn't have any clean towels, and none came while we were there. The a/c in our new room was out for a night and half a day. I was not able to return an unused, unopened item i purchased at the General Store even though there was not posted policy about no returns. The elevator down to the beach was out of order the entire week we were there (3 flights of stairs). There is a good variety of restaurants onsite and we enjoyed our meals. Things are expensive which is common across Barbados. We had a nice time overall but they really need to get things in better repair overall for it to be considered a grand vacation.

Very nice resort with an incredible beach if you like 3 to 9 foot waves! Which we do. Very helpful staff, stay 3 days after Clipper cruise. Will definitely go back

For me was an experience to step away from the routine. Was calm and relaxing. Would be nice to get more recreational activities inside the hotel. But was very nice

Beautiful resort with a great staff. Service and hospitality was great from start to finish. Amenities at the resort are plentiful as is live entertainment on a nightly basis. Food served was fantastic starting with the welcoming rum punch you reciever upon check in. The only drawback is that there was no "all inclusive" option. Also it is not located in the tourist spot where all the other hotels are located, therefore you will have to catch a taxi and get a ride into town as opposed to being within walking distance of various activities. But cabs are plentiful at the resort and ready to take you to where you want to go, and you will get the chance to see a bit of the island and speak with locals who are knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Would book again

we have only been here for three days so it’s unfortunate to be writing a bad review this soon. i feel like they just come into our room whenever they want. it was 9am this morning, my husband and i were still sleeping, and they just came in. i decided to brush it off because maybe they thought we weren’t here even though we had a do not disturb sign? however, just now we had housekeepers come in to clean our room. while they were cleaning i was upstairs making a very important phone call, then the manager comes outside interrupts my call (no excuse me or anything, just starts talking while i’m mid call) then proceeds to do renovations in our room. RENOVATIONS while you have guests??? they interrupted the last 45 minutes changing our rooms couches. they couldn’t do this when the room wasn’t occupied? i thought this was completely inappropriate. the new couches are has hard as a rock and so is the bed. aside from that, the rest of the staff is GREAT and the property and hotel is beautiful. hopefully i can update this review at the end of our trip with positive things but this was just so inconvenient especially when you’re spending a ton of money to be here.

I only stayed one night at The Crane, but the room was absolutely beautiful! The bathroom was very large! Soaker tub with jets, spacious shower and closet. It had a mini kitchen (sink, stove, dishes and silverware provided). There was a sitting area with a couch and table to sit at. Nice large bed and doors that opened to a private patio area with two lounge chairs. This room was paradise in itself!!!

Stunning resort, pools are fabulous, food is absolutely great and great value for money. Restaurants are really nice, views are 10/10. Very relaxing and quiet resort. I would 100% recommend for those who are here just to recharge their batteries. However Staff: incredibly rude and unhelpful staff. Of course some of them are lovely but generally they are not trying to help. They simply don’t know the concept of apologising! Everybody makes mistakes it’s how you handle them that matters. I totally get that some things are not within their control but you can just say sorry for inconvenience - they act very entitled. Beach - scam. You can’t swim, full of seaweeds and compared to Carlisle Bay or any other beach it is minus 1 out of 10. They don’t even transfer you to a different beach - will never trust anything written about the Crane being one of the best beaches in the world.

Premises are showing their age. Ripped couch cushions in reception area, shower heads not 100% functional. Elevator going to the beach has been out for months apparently. Still the most picturesque area of the island. On premises food selection was great including buffet breakfast. Pool area is uncrowded and great for relaxed afternoons. Attentive staff.

I visited the crane resort in July and I must say that for the money I have spent, I am very disappointed. The beach view is the only good thing they got going for them. The staff has been unfriendly and very inattentive. The wings at bar 1887 gave me food poisoning(stay away from that place). For the price you are better off going anywhere else.

Spent 4 nights at the Crane for my birthday and it was beyond beautiful. Truly a gem in Barbados the grounds are well kept and covered in beautiful plants the views are breathtaking. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The resort is beautiful and very well kept. There are various amenities that you can take advantage of, and will make it hard to leave the resort. It is self contained and they literally have every experience that you would want here. All the feels are possible with nightlife, day time beach excursions, and fine dinning.

Management does a fine job communicating the details of the Covid situation and their offerings as they change. We think the value is excellent at this resort and they will take good care of you. It is not the calm ocean you would want for younger kids, but the pools do excellent in that regard. We have stayed in a penthouse and hosted parties in the event space. The food is good too. Highly recommend.

All is good at the Crane - peace & tranquility whilst I was there. Not sure it would be so at height of season! Hope they keep the beach free from the blight and adult pool could do with a man and a net to get it to the pristine state I would expect. Health conscious persons are not particularly well catered for and what they call tomato ketchup (red sugar syrup) is rather sad. However the suites are fab with excellent bathroom and kitchen facilities. And balconies also great size for lounging! Can't be all bad considering the constant property growth - just hope management keep and eye on customer service!
