April 2022 Easily a NYC classic icon slice. It's the sicilian square slice that's famous. The softest tastiest slice in town. The cheese is under the sauce and it works really well there. It's always busy so your chances of getting a fresh slice are 98.2%! (After I crunched some numbers of course 😉) $3.50. That seems like the average price these days, sigh. But if you are getting a great slice, it's worth it. If you want a topping you can only do it if you buy the whole pie for another $4 for a total of $30. That's a lot pizza. Lots of picnic tables, some covered, but it's usually busy all the time. They have Italian ice, ice cream and super soft ice cream. Don't forget to check out the list of toppings!

The atmosphere is awesome. Overall the food is good, not sure the exact hype. Feels like quick average Italian but has a nice family and friends oriented vibe. The kinda place you would go to right after a long day at the beach. I don’t personally think it’s worth going back given how far it is out of the way for a lot of folks. A fun one time thing. The vodka slice was pretty good. Definitely check the bill sometimes they add extra items.

A NYC icon with authentic food and amazing service. They're known for their Sicilian pizza and their spumoni is a must. They have outdoor seating with self service for those who are on the go and indoor seating with table service for those who want to dine in. The servers here are very knowledgeable and very friendly. We really enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere here. Their serving sizes are large so don't order too much (although everything we had was delicious). We especially loved the Sicilian pizza, which is what they're known for. Sicilian pizza isn't your traditional New York style pizza but rather a square, thicker crust pizza which has more heft to it. We ended up getting a slice of Sicilian each and some sides to share and were absolutely stuffed! This location can be a little difficult to get to if you don't live in Brooklyn but it's well worth the visit. My friends and I dropped by on our way to Coney Island for the day and we absolutely loved this start to our day out.

I’ve been coming here for decades and always get their squares (Sicilian pizza) & rainbow flavored spumoni. The pizza is amazing and travels well. Their kitchen prepped meals are delicious too. I really enjoy their chicken parmigiana hero. There are plenty of tables for outside dining. I highly recommend L&B Spumoni Gardens!

A favorite spot whenever I'm in Brooklyn. Their reputation for the best pizza, hands down is apparent in your first bite. Love the classic Sicilian slice, very robust flavor, all about the sauce. Recommend the pear and arugula salad. Rice balls parmigiana was the highlight this visit. As well as the pasta Bolognese - excellent. Service was slow and a little off given the overwhelming crowds. It was also way too loud in the front area of the restaurant. Couldn't be helped as it was a Sunday and prime time.

I've heard great things. I wasn't really that impressed. Perhaps the fact that they have huge indoor facilities, but were making people sit outside on a chilly November evening had something to do with it. Also, in all fairness I'm not the biggest fan of Sicilian, and that's what they are known for. All in all, I think better pizza can be had in much more convenient locations, unless you are on Coney Island or Bensonhurst.

Best pizza in the world. There is no argument. The pizza is crispy, but doughy at the same time. We have no idea how they do it, but they have been doing it for over 100 years. I love the spumoni ice cream as well. She was born about 10 blocks away and still loves the Italian ices. This is the very best and has our highest recommendations.

I been meaning to stop here for a while now and I can’t believe it took me so long to eat one of the best Sicilian slices of my life! A friend of mine told me to get a tray and I can understand why because you can easily eat two Sicilian slices! I also had a Spumoni cone and it was delicious and tasted great with the real pistachio’s inside. I can’t wait to come back and have the food in the restaurant!

One of New York city's most legendary pizzerias. Square slice is what they're known for. Plenty of street & parking lot parking available. A lot of seating outside for you to sit down & enjoy your food as well.

This place is truly a gem, I was promptly seated and attended to. The beers are cold and the athmosphere is wonderful. Families enjoying dinner together, kids eating mountains of ice cream overall just a wonderful environment and a great place to spend the evening eating endless pizza and desserts. The sauce on top of the cheese is brilliant, the sauce truly shines in this way. Highly recommend and definitely one of the top five pizza places in New York City in my humble opinion!

This was my first time ever experiencing "The Chef's Table." When they say come hungry for it, they mean train your stomach. It was never-ending delicious food! 4 courses of variant items. I enjoyed everything!! The servers were quick and attentive. I was told i HAD to come back to try their pizza and I 100% will. But with the chef's table, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything.

They have great Sicilian pizza, the sauce is on the sweet side. IMO their regular pizza is average at best though. The Rainbow Spumoni as well as their ice cream is off the charts! Staff is nice inside and out. Great aesthetic and food here.

Came here for dinner after walking through to see the Christmas lights in Dyker Heights. Had a nice time- ate fried calamari and artichokes for our appetizer and got their sicilian pie with pepperoni and sausage. Everyone was extremely attentive and helpful

I came here solely for their square (Sicilian) based on all social media reviews and was not disappointed one bit. Their pizza is all that and more. Perfect undercarriage, pillowy soft, fluffy interior and the sauce was spot on. It’s no surprise many will vouch L&B as the best Sicilian in NY and I agree. My only concern is $4 per slice is a bit excessive and take note, their square is a bit smaller than what most is accustomed to in a NYC pizzeria. This coming from someone who has been eating pizza in New York for 40 years.

The visit to L&B Spumoni was rather disappointing. Having heard great things about the food, we were quite excited to have a fulfilling dinner but it was anything but. We started off with the Sicilian slice which was the best part of the evening. We then followed with the baked ziti and primavera, both of which were a disappointment. The pasta sauce for the primavera was watery and not very flavourful. The baked ziti was more cheese than pasta. We ended the evening with ice-cream which was enjoyed by my friend but not myself due to its gritty texture.

We are on 6 generations in our family that's been dining on L&B pizza and Spumoni. It's not because it's famous. It's because this place IS family. It's tradition. It's local. It's neighborhood. The food is nostalgic. Whether you sit, stand, takeout, or dine in, every bite is an experience. You both live in the moment and reminisce about your childhood. You won't be disappointed here. You'll never find a Sicilian quite like L&B's. Just the smell of a pie makes you close your eyes to appreciate the aroma.

Came here for my long distance boyfriend’s graduation . I live in Maryland and I have to say this is the best italian resturant on the east coast. Absolutely amazing food and the owner is a hoot! The owner is so personable, always checked on us, and made sure our experience was amazing!!! We had pretty much everything on the menu. I am in love with this restaurant! I will be back!!!

Wonderful square-shaped size of Brooklyn! My friend took me here on account of it being one of the best slices in Brooklyn, and she did not tell a lie! It is a classic brick oven style thick crust pizza with plenty of cheese and sauce to make it flavorful. The spumoni and Italian ice is delicious as well, and the homemade lemonade was truly a steal being $1.75 a glass!

If you know you know. This is an 80 year institution that is always busy. They do pizza right which is why the cars are lined up in two rows and people wait for the perfectly cooked pizza in a single line. The staff is quick so the line moves. Enjoy the surroundings. After pizza make room for summoning. The best I ever had and they don't skimp on the serving or ingredients. If you want formal dining they offer that as well. Everything is spectacular. Their sauce is the star.

FINALLY! After all these years we made it. What a blast we had. We sat inside. Right by the entrance in one of the window seats. Loved it, you had a view of the tables and take out window outside. Food was amazing! We started with salad and a few appetizers. You basics, rice balls, baked clams, mozzarella sticks. We split the chicken Parmesan and Notte Di Natale. Both were huge and too much for two. We over course ended the meal with a dish of signuatee spumoni and my favorite mint chocolate chip. Really fun place. Totally recommend for family dinners or small/large groups.

Very solid piece to go if you are a Sicilian pizza fan. The pizza is very well made. The crust and sauce are great, especially if you like sweeter sauces on pizza. The calamari was also very good. Personally not a huge Sicilian fan and kind of out of the way so I'm giving it 4 stars.

I’m not a religious person, and I don’t believe in Heaven or Hell. But eating a Sicilian slice at Spumoni Gardens, has made me a believer. G*d him/herself must have come down from the heavens just to create Sicilian pizza at Spumoni Gardens. The taste! The sauce! The textures. The chewy, crunchy flavors all at once. I actually shed real tears while eating this slice. Tears of joy, then tears after I finished eating it. Yes, we also got the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, and prosciutto, and we also got a shrimp parmigiana grinder, but oh, that Sicilian! The food is outta this world, I can't say it enough. But then, the customer service you receive? The people that work here are fantastic! They really take care of you. There's real love here. Most importantly though, there's pizza love. Pizza will never break your heart, except when you've eaten it all. I think I need more pizza from Spumoni Gardens...

This is my first time trying out their iconic sicilian pizza square pie and their ice cream. The pizza was fulfilling and the dough was thick. The wait was around 20 minutes. Spumoni ice cream is a must have. We ordered Cherry icy & Rainbow Spumoni. There's also seating outside which is great. I'll come back again for more .

To say it’s the best pizza I ever tried in my life is like saying nothing! I’ve never tasted pizza that’s as soft, light and crispy as this. No need to get lots of toppings as the base itself is simply amazing! I cannot wait to visit again and have some delicious pizza!🍕 Totally recommend, you won’t regret trying!

We ordered the chef's table. Several price options $75 $85 or $115 I think? We did $85 per person - 3 appetizers, 1 salad ,2 pasta dishes, 2 dinner plates (we did chicken and veal), 1 Hugh dessert plate-spumoni,ice cream cones, termisue, canoli filled with cheese cake and other goodies. All was fantastic 😊

L&B NEVER DISAPPOINTS... I have been coming to L&B since I was 17 years old in 1992 and I've NEVER EVER LIVED IN BROOKLYN...LOL. WHY? Because L&B has the best squares in NYC. On top of that, I've always received the best and most respectful service from every staff member there. The ambiance and energy is always buzzing with old school Brooklyn vibes and everybody is always made to feel welcome. Don't forget the rainbow spumoni (pistachio, vanilla, and chocolate) to end your meal right! I drive here during all hours on a weeknight evening on a whim, just for the Sicilian slice ("square"). Throw my wife and kids in the car and we are off to L&B... That's how delicious it is. Enjoy!

This slice was almost perfect for a plain Sicilian slice. L&B opts for both mozzarella and grated parmesan, a great touch that many squares don’t do. The dough was fluffy, but not too airy. The only point against this slice is that the crust wasn’t crispy. It was a too soft, but I have a sense that it’s because I ordered slices that had been sitting out for a while. Had the slices been fresh, this may have been a different story.

Love coming here for a good dinner, that’s not too expensive but still super good. Definitely a plus that they have their own parking lot, but hard to get a spot during peak times. Everything we got was super good. Service was good, despite it being a peak time when it was getting a little packed - Friday at 5:30 pm. And the servers are easy on the eyes too - as my friend kept pointing out to me (: oh and spumoni of course - win win all around!

Delicious square slice and rainbow (vanilla, chocolate and pistachio) spumoni. Plenty of outdoor seating.

  • 4/5 Casey 2 years ago on Google
The pizza sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but the crust was nice and crunchy. Not worth going all the way out there but I was on my way back from Coney Island so it was en route. I prefer the regular thin style pizza. Lots of outdoor seating and the lines went very quickly though.

The pinnacle of Brooklyn pizza! Two choices Neopolitan or Sicilian end of story! Both are delicious, Sicilian is World famous for a reason. The spumoni and ice cream offer a great way to cap off a meal. Another important check mark in the pro column, they have a parking lot. I try to stop by whenever I am in the area.

Good but a little overrated. Lack enough cheese on their favorite square slices for me. Good customer service. Great for a pit stop for large groups.

We sat in the outside area where the pizza and italian ice are located. The Sicilian slices were definitely well worth the hype. However avoid getting regular slices, as those are ordinary. I recommend trying the Spumoni ice, absolutely delicious.

  • 5/5 Christian W. 2 years ago on Google
Next level Sicilian. If you're a fan this will top the list. 90's nostalgia mixed with authentic modern Italian local's.

  • 5/5 Starasia S. 1 year ago on Google
If you get square slices fresh out of the oven, the crust will be crisp; otherwise, if you get a whole pie, make sure it hasn’t been sitting in the box above the oven longer than a few minutes. I’ve never had the regular slices, and rarely eat food from the dining room, but you cannot get anything better than the spumoni. The small is huge! It’s so unique. My family has been eating here since they opened, and my father remembers the horse and carriage from his childhood. Today the sauce was glistening on those slices. Can’t beat it.

Great pizza always. Real fast. Order-and-go for pizzas and they have a indoor dine-in restaurant as well. Both regular and siciliano pies are really good. Nice place to go on the weekends with your family for lunch or dinner

Heard great things about this place and it lived up to the hype! The pizza was absolutely delicious and I would 10/10 eat there again! Spumoni was also very refreshing

Nice place. Like the walk up window. Wasn’t a long line, and I place my order quickly. The restaurant is nice, though smaller than I thought. Had a lively crowd insude that night. And the pizza, sweet and delicious, although it was smaller than a usual Sicilian in my opinion. Very good pizza.

  • 5/5 Mindy L. 1 year ago on Google
Wow. Wow. Wow. Spumoni blew my mind away. I’ve had many people tell me that this is their favorite pizza but I was never willing to take the trek. NOW I UNDERSTAND. Take the trip and go, they’ve mastered pizza and it’s insane. The sauce isn’t sweet and is so flavorful. The dough and the crust has chew and crunch. So. Good. I hope you get to experience the magic!

  • 4/5 Maitri B. 9 months ago on Google
Definitely a must visit because of their upside down Sicilian pizza. They have maintained the quality well, the pizza comes straight out of the oven, hot and fresh unlike many other pizza joints where they just re-heat the slices for you. The outdoor seating is amazing and makes your pizza eating experience more enjoyable. What I loved the most was their home made gelato. It was one of the best ice creams I have had in NYC. Yummy and without any artificial flavors.

First time back in Brooklyn with my sister since 1984 - we went on June 5th. Had a slice of round pizza each, chocolate egg creams (only in Brooklyn), and spumoni. Busy but service was quick, and staff was great. We gave the pizza the "oil" test - told my kids once the pizza is folded it has to drip oil on the plate to be real.
